Although express delivery companies can reduce the negative impact of work overload on work well-being through high-performance work systems (HPWS), existing researches show that mediated mechanism and boundary conditions that perceived HPWS and work overload impact on work well-being are still unclear. To address this gap in existing research, based on conservation of resource theory (COR), this study selected the employees of well-known express delivery companies as samples to empirically test the mediated mechanism and boundary conditions of perceived HPWS and work well-being. The results revealed: emotional exhaustion mediated the impact of the perceived HPWS on the employees' work well-being. Work overload moderated the impact of the perceived HPWS on work well-being through employee emotional exhaustion. That is to say, when the work overload is low, perceived HPWS can improve work well-being by reducing employee emotional exhaustion; when the work overload is high, perceived HPWS cannot improve work well-being by reducing employee emotional exhaustion.","PeriodicalId":442421,"journal":{"name":"2019 16th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134321246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We obtain the optimal refund for the two kinds of substitute products. In addition, we find that consumers will not purchase low-quality products when the refund amount of low-quality products is below the threshold value, and low-quality products will gradually be eliminated by the market. Therefore, the retailer needs to formulate optimal return policies for the two substitute products in order to occupy a larger market share and obtain higher profits.","PeriodicalId":442421,"journal":{"name":"2019 16th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115468021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, value of nickel ore is increased by producing a saprolite ore composite which is a mixture of a certain amount of saprolite, coal, sulfate, and bentonite. Then a reduction process of the composite using pyrometallurgical method is designed to find the best combination of the coal ratio, process temperature, process time, and the ratio of additive (Na2SO4) towards the availability of carbon along with processing time and temperature as the primary concern. Then the chemical composition of the saprolite ore composites are analyzed, especially nickel, using X-Ray-Difference Fluorescence (XRF). In order to find the best combination, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) method is employed to analyze the XRF result due to its ability to reduce the dimension of search space by distributing input information over the network. The objective of this research is to obtain optimal factor combination for reduction process of saprolite ore composites in Tube Furnace by looking at the results of the chemical compositions of Ni which was tested through XRF using ANFIS method. To manage these above risks, the retailer has an opportunity to place two different types of orders, viz., the firm order and the bidirectional options order, from the supplier in each period. This paper formulates a periodic-review inventory model for the retailer with bidirectional option contracts under inflation. Based on stochastic dynamic programming, this paper studies the structure of the optimal ordering policy in each period. Then this paper provides an approximation to evaluate the corresponding policy parameters. By taking the case without bidirectional option contracts as a benchmark, this paper demonstrates that the utilization of bidirectional option contracts might prompt the retailer to enhance the service level and improve the performance.","PeriodicalId":442421,"journal":{"name":"2019 16th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130589799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Governments from various countries releases a lot of policies such as tax credit to promote manufacturers to make sustainability efforts. Also, they will offer consumers some subsidy to stimulate them to choose more sustainable products. In this paper, we analyze the different effects of tax credit and subsidy, to find out which policy has more positive influence. We find that only when the tax credit is relatively high, the manufacturer will accept it and make more sustainability effort. We also try to figure out if the more tax credit or subsidy is, the better social welfare will be, and we have a counterintuitive conclusion with numerical analysis: when the fixed subsidy is smaller than the threshold, social welfare will have a period of falling down with the increasing of the subsidy.","PeriodicalId":442421,"journal":{"name":"2019 16th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121168395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That helps firms review their innovation activities, thereby to have reasonable adjustments in their innovation policies. There have been emerging innovation trends in banking industry such as using big data, mobile applications and cooperating with FinTech companies. However, there remain few relevant research on evaluating innovation capabilities in banking sector particularly. In this paper, first we determine key innovation management practices based on literature review and establish a set of measurement items for these practices. Then, an innovation capability evaluation method is developed based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). A group of five experts in banking major is invited assess the development degree of each practice in a sample group of Vietnam banks as well as determine the importance weights for each practice. Finally, a composite innovation capability index is computed for each bank and used for ranking. The findings could be a basis for bank managers to propose new strategies in order to improve their innovation outcomes.","PeriodicalId":442421,"journal":{"name":"2019 16th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133526867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bayesian Personalized Ranking (BPR) is one of the most representative pairwise ranking methods for recommendation, the performances of which greatly depend on the selection of negative feedback. However, traditional negative samplers may suffer from bias and noises. Therefore, in this paper, we focus on improving negative sampling strategy of BPR by incorporating side information of the knowledge products. We locate negative samples by calculating the cosine similarity among items by the textual features of KPP, under the assumption that a user shall have similar perceptions on items with similar content. We union our sampler strategy and the original one with different ratios. Compared to the original BPR that applies a uniform sampler on all the products, the join of our content-based sampler enhances BPR with a relative improvement over 4% on the ZhiHu Live dataset, which demonstrates the effectiveness of considering side information when capturing users' preferences on different items.","PeriodicalId":442421,"journal":{"name":"2019 16th International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management (ICSSSM)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130617908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
