It comprises three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Sustainable development and practices take into account these dimensions with the goal of creating a better and more equitable world for present and future generations. The ability of a corporation to create long-term financial success while also taking into account and addressing ESG factors is referred to as sustainable financial performance. In this context, green accounting plays a major role. This study aims to provide an understanding of the importance of sustainability in business, green accounting, and the relationship between sustainability and financial performance. Some studies reveal that the relationship between sustainability practices and financial performance is confusing or contradictory, showing positive and occasionally negative outcomes. Even though in some cases it shows a negative relationship, every organisation must adopt sustainable practices, because, it helps the organizations gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace, attract a broader customer base, and adapt more readily to changing market dynamics. Sustainability is positioned as not merely a choice but a requirement for a better, more equitable future, and businesses are encouraged to navigate this intersection for the benefit of both society and the environment","PeriodicalId":441226,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business Management and Information Systems","volume":" 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140387414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Global adoption of FinTech is rapidly increasing due to its disruptive nature and is largely embraced by the various participants in the financial sector who are under served by traditional financial service providers. There exists a gap in the literature and visualization research on impact and future pathway of FinTech innovations in payments and financial services and role of financial regulations. This study aims to enrich the understanding of FinTech innovations in payments and financing and investigate the correlation and significance of regulatory framework in maintaining a fair ecosystem where the under served sections of the economy are included in the main stream economy. For this purpose, data were collected by using a well-designed Personal Interview Schedule and was circulated to 100 respondents under convenient sampling technique. The collected data were then analyzed with the help of statistical tools like Simple Percentage Analysis, Ranking method and Mean Percentage Analysis. Social Security is the sum of all government regulations and provisions that aim at enhancing the people’s living conditions, including legislation/acts/laws, regulation, and planning in the fields of old age, wage, unemployment, social exclusion, sickness, and health care, and income security measures such as food security, employment, education and health, housing, social insurance, and social assistance. Financial assistance provided by the Government towards various pension schemes exhibits its concern for the privileged group in society. Various social welfare pension Schemes offered by Govt of Kerala include 1) Agriculture Labour Pension, 2) Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension, 3) Indira Gandhi Nation Disabled Pension Scheme for Physically & Mentally Challenged Persons, 4) Pension to Unmarried Women above 50 Years and 5) Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme. Social security protects people living in economic and social distress. It can \"protect'' people against a fall in living standards and living conditions through ill-health, unemployment, and accidents, and also \"promote\" enhanced living conditions, helping the poor to overcome persistent deprivations. There has been a growing demand that the approach to social security programmers and schemes should progressively shift to a rights-based framework and should not be viewed merely from a welfare prism. Welfare scheme aims to support the vulnerable section of society. The present study aims to 1) understand various social welfare schemes adopted by Govt of Kerala, and 2) Assess the benefits and Woes of Widows who avails Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension. The present study is based on data collected from primary and secondary sources and suitable statistical tools will be used to analyse the collected data. The study reveals that even though it is one of the flagship initiatives of the Government of Kerala, it has many flaws.
