The main focus lies on its core business, financial service called central regulation and other services.\u0000Methodology/Approach: After reviewing the literature, the most prominent blockchain projects in recent years in large companies were depicted to identify successful adoptions. The processes of purchasing group were described with the extension of innovative blockchain technology. A summary of potential advantages is presented in a table.\u0000Findings: The conclusions could potentially be of a benefit to the management of purchasing groups as evidence suggests an increase in transparency in the whole process of the supply chain and, at the same time, bring effectiveness in payment processing. Combining permissioned and permissionless blockchain could be a viable solution for a purchasing group which uses a central payment system.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: The main limitation is the impossibility of testing the usage of blockchain technology in real-life conditions on a full scale. However, a sample of processes could be modelled further to test and develop the improvements and measure various parameters.\u0000Originality/Value of paper: This approach is the first of its kind as there is no literature or publication on the usage of blockchain technology in the central regulation system. Also, it investigates the moderating effect of IT development on the relationship between internal control implementation and Higher Education Institution (HEI) quality performance.\u0000Methodology/Approach: This research employed a survey method by distributing questionnaires to HEIs in all 34 provinces of Indonesia. As a result, 191 HEIs participated in this study. A Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the second-order analysis was utilised to test the relationship among the variables.\u0000Findings: The results revealed that the IT development for internal control purposes was generally moderate. Additionally, IT development was positively associated with internal control implementation and strengthened the relationship between internal control and HEI quality performance.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: This study was based solely on a weak survey study regarding depth and breadth of exploration. Additionally, it did not cross-validated by re-testing the proposed model with secondary data.\u0000Originality/Value of paper: This study adds to the body of knowledge on the moderating role of IT development. Also, the results of this research can be a meaningful input for HEI management since many consider internal control carried out manually to be sufficient without the role of IT. The optimization is carried out according to the integral indicator of resource consumption and system energy efficiency. Within this framework, this paper discusses the relationship between the implementation of MS and the Innovation capabilities (IC) and Innovation Performance (IP) the company. In other words, the article analyses whether the greater degree of standardization (DS) in firms, combined with some IC dimensions, positively influence the IP of firms.\u0000Methodology/Approach: As the number of ISO 56002 implementations is still not very high and it is not certifiable yet, a survey has been carried out considering the spanish certifiable homologue standard UNE 166002 combined with other ISO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO-TS 16949, OHSAS 18001 and/or others. The suvey has been responded by 73 certified companies; and a further fuzzy set Qualitative Analysis (fsQCA) has been performed.\u0000Findings: The paper confirms that at least three main dimensions of IC influence positively the IP, namely: strategy, market, and structure and network. Marek, Petr Doucek, Lea Nedomová","doi":"10.12776/qip.v26i2.1695","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12776/qip.v26i2.1695","url":null,"abstract":"Purpose: The purpose of the article is to compare a degree of beta-convergence between V4 countries and EU28 at national and NUTS 2 level.\u0000Methodology/Approach: We will make this comparison separately for each indicator (gross domestic product at current market prices, unemployment rate and disposable income of households.). To evaluate beta-convergence differences at national and regional level, we will compare the data for the V4 countries and for Germany and Austria. To show convergence, we approximated the GDP growth trend in individual countries, using a trend line for three different time periods.\u0000Findings: Our results point to persistent disparities between regions. They have confirmed that the cohesion policy in the regions of the V4 countries should promote innovations and investments into less developed and predominantly agricultural regions, complete the necessary backbone infrastructure and develop a high-quality regional education. At regional level, the implementation of high value-added programs may be hampered by institutional factors and a lack of capacity to make the necessary infrastructure or human capital investments. Our analysis showed that differences in regional performance are also accompanied by significant differences in investigated indicators.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: Limitations of the paper are at first missing data for Poland to the year 2013. To this end, the inductive approach was used to classify in a logical and organised manner the elements identified in the literature and then systematise them into pillars.\u0000Findings: The pillars identified in SWM were: Public Management, Public Policies, Environmental Solutions and Triple Bottom Line.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: The main limitation of the study is the use of articles between the periods 2014 and 2018.\u0000Originality/Value of paper: The main scientific contribution was to expand and deepen the literature on the subject, articulating concepts in pillars that can be developed and improved according to the characteristics of different regions or localities, improving the use of SWM resources. It is assumed that the metrological properties of a check standard are correct, however, the uncertainty of the check standard affects the evaluation of the measurement process capability. The paper analyses individual cases of the influence of the check standard bias and its influence on the measurement process capability.\u0000Methodology/Approach: Statistical analysis of both the measurement process and the check standard is provided at the beginning. Development and analysis of possible cases, when the bias of a check standard affects the calculated capability index of a measurement process follows.\u0000Findings: The paper confirmed the theoretical assumption that a bias of a check standard can affect the calculated capability index of a measurement process, thus shifting the judgment on the measurement process capability.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: The paper is based on the theoretical assumptions of the measurement process capability as well as on the analysis of the possible behaviour of a respective check standard.\u0000Originality/Value of paper: The paper clarifies that several particular and specifically selected cases of bias of a check standard may affect the resulting capability index negatively/positively, which may lead to inaccurate decisions on measurement process capability. The results of the study can give insight on how to design an optimized wearable self-tracking device.\u0000Methodology/Approach: The well-established Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework served as a baseline for research on key determinants of behavioral intention to use wearable self-tracking devices.\u0000Findings: The strongest factor was identified as the habit. The second strongest predictor affecting behavioral intention and use was the construct of performance expectancy. Personal health motivation, as a factor reflecting the nature of the subject examined, was the third strongest factor. The determinants of price value, effort expectancy, and social impact influence the adoption and use of these products. Facilitating conditions, personal inovativeness, personal control over diet and hedonic motivations did not play a significant role.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: The tested sample included 808 interviewed women, but only from the Czech Republic. Scale already defined Eating control behavior as a measure of healthy lifestyle in terms of eating was the first usage in UTAUT 2 model.\u0000Originality/Value of paper: The study aims primarily to uncover the determinants of the usage of wearable electronics. However, the target of the analysis is likely to be quasi-experimental data. This can be difficult to analyse with the CS-T method. Therefore, this study proposes a new analysis approach that can perform a more accurate knowledge search by applying the instrumental variable.\u0000Methodology/Approach: Using the CS-T method, appropriate knowledge search is difficult with quasi-experimental data, including endogeneity. We examined an analytical process that addresses the endogeneity between mechanism and output by utilizing the control and noise factors that constitute the mechanism as instrumental variables.\u0000Findings: The results show that 1) the proposed method has sufficient practical accuracy, even for quasi-experimental data including endogeneity; and 2) the extracted mechanism is less likely to fluctuate depending on the number of experimental conditions used. Moreover, we can clarify the position of the CS-T and proposed methods in system selection.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: We perform estimation under the assumption that the threshold is known. However, the extracted mechanism may change depending on the threshold; this requires discussing how to determine them.\u0000Originality/Value of paper: Technological development requires a high degree of engineer sophistication. Santos","doi":"10.12776/qip.v26i1.1657","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12776/qip.v26i1.1657","url":null,"abstract":"Purpose: This work was carried out in a company of the upholstery sector in northern Portugal to demonstrate that Investment in Preventive Measures, within the scope of Environmental Management and supported by a Circular Economy approach, is a significant investment decision, with transversal benefits to the entire organization.\u0000Methodology/Approach: This study focuses on an interview, a financial cost-benefit analysis and a sensitivity analysis. The company is in line with concerns about the Circular Economy.\u0000Findings: The findings support that the cost-benefit analysis is a valuable tool for decision-making and for identifying the potential benefits that can arise from implementing measures from the Circular Economy perspective. An action plan was structured with several recommendations in a logic of action priorities. A case study was carried out in the company and a model was designed.\u0000Research Limitation/Implication: The studied company is still at an embryonic stage. Nevertheless, it was possible to identify all environmental aspects, namely, impacts, consumption. The study in question was carried out only in one company.
