Kamakura","doi":"10.1109/CINTI.2013.6705208","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CINTI.2013.6705208","url":null,"abstract":"Although a Doppler radar detects the respiratory motion in the non-contact way, there is a problem of the performance decrement in proportion to the distance between a radar and a human body due to the reduction of the reflected rate. A model-based method is proposed to evaluate the respiratory presence in such cases. This model expresses the chest-wall displacement. The expression is composed of the periodic function which has five parameters. This model has a new property that the inspiration and the expiration are given by each of the two independent parameters. Therefore the problem is solved by tracking the radar outputs using the particle filter framework. The experiment was carried out to the six subjects at the distance 3.25m. The result showed that there was the statistically significant difference between the evaluation value of the unattended state and that of the attended one. In addition, the estimated model was favorably compared with the reference data which was measured by the high-precision displacement sensor. The paper focuses on the identification of language varieties, which is a known weakness of general purpose language identification methods. This question was addressed by a number of studies in the recent years, most of them relying on character n-gram language models. In this paper, I experiment simple bag-of-words and compare the results with previously proposed n-gram-based approaches. The article deals with the design of diagnostics/backup system, which uses majority method and backup through computational models that take advantage of experimental identification methods and neural networks. The proposed algorithm has two levels; first level, finds best global path. Second level, performs local search at relatively near distances of global path and reduces its length and response time. IWD algorithm, like other nature-inspired algorithms, has not a mechanism to deal with constrained optimization problem. So, a mechanism has been proposed based on repair of infeasible solutions. In this mechanism, proposed local search operator repairs some of infeasible solutions. The methodology is novel with respect to the proper identification, definition and initialization of the concepts and sensitivities, as well as on the updating rule. It is based on realistic and objective knowledge extraction from the experts. Within this work certain steps are suggested to be followed by the FCM developer(s) and the experts for achieving a more reliable FCM system. The features of the proposed methodology are applied and tested on a complicate system taken from the recent Cyprus and Greece economic realities. More specifically several scenarios were developed and applied to investigate the effects of the Greek PSI on a multitude of other parameters. The study was done in February of 2012, on several parameters of the Cyprus economy. However, only one job can be processed by one agent in the same time. The problem when and how to assign the jobs to agents is solved in this paper. Both agents and jobs are modelled by place/transition Petri nets (P/T PN). The task of assigning the jobs to an agent is understood to be a task of the jobs cooperation. To coordinate the jobs a supervisor is synthesized. The supervisor forces a desired job cooperation strategy to utilize the agent manufacturing capacity as exhaustively as possible. The supervisor synthesis is based on discrete-event systems (DES) control theory and performed by means of P/T PN. In case of assigning several jobs to the agent(s) it is necessary to force the job priorities. The P/T PN firing count vector (Parikh's vector) is utilized here to ensure the desired priorities. Then, the time parameter is added to the final P/T PN structure. In such a way timed PN (TPN) arises. It allows to analyze the time circumstances. Kalman in the early sixties of the past century. This system description is in close relationship with linear or at least partly linear system in which the linear part can be used in forming a quadratic Lyapunov function in the stability proof. In the standard model of such systems it is assumed that the state of the system is not directly observable, only certain linear functions of the state variable are directly measurable. Since such approaches introduce certain feedback gains for the state variable, observers are needed that calculate the estimation of the state variable on the basis of directly measurable quantities. The Luenberger observers solve this task via introducing a differential equation for the estimated state. In order to avoid the mathematical difficulties of Lyapunov's “direct method” the “Robust Fixed Point Transformations (RFPT)” were introduced in a novel adaptive technique that instead of the state space representation directly utilized the available approximate model of the system to estimate its “response function”. In this approach it was assumed that the system's response is directly observable and an iterative sequence was generated by the use of “Banach's Fixed Point Theorem” that converged to an appropriate deformation of the rough initial model to obtain precise trajectory tracking. In the present paper it is shown that the Luenberger observers and the RFPT-based mathod can be combined in a more conventional approach of the adaptive controllers that are designed on the basis of finding appropriate feedback gains. Thus it is necessary to produce software that follows specific ROM and CPU load requirements. Compiler options play major role in the optimization of code size and CPU load of the software. Selection of the best compiler option-set that provides the required code size and CPU load is a challenging process due to the wide range of options provided by modern compilers. In this paper we are providing a new technique that enables the designers to select automatically the best compiler options set that matches their design requirements based on genetic techniques. This article put forward a prediction model of contagion time based on fuzzy information granularity SVM. It uses granularity fuzzy and SVM to estimate the bounds of stock index, and further forecast the similarity index. The predicted contagion time from the United States to the United Kingdom, Germany, Frence and China are tested, and compared with the real ones.
