If solar module is dirty the energy generated will also reduce. Therefore, solar module needs to be kept clean. One of the challenges of rooftop PV, the solar module is difficult to clean due to its position on the roof. One solution is to clean the module with the help of cleaning robot. In this study a solar module cleaning robot was developed. The robot must be able to navigate the surface area of solar module thoroughly, cleaning it with a brush, and rinsing it by water spray. The robot shall also be able to send image and video wirelessly and also able to fly to reach the rooftop solar module. At this stage, the robot has been built using servo robot drive, limit switches for navigation, servo brush system, and pump drive. The test results showed that the robot has been able to trace the surface of ASL-M200 solar module and brushing the dirt, and rinsing it with water. Raspberry Pi 3 platform is used as an image processing and wireless communication system. The results of image processing and calculation performed by Raspberry Pi 3 are sent to the web server to be disseminated on the internet. From the test results, the system is able to distinguish between people who are entering or leaving the room by performing image processing using background subtraction, morphological transformation, and calculating the contour area of the image. From the results of image processing, the number of people in the room can be derived and the system can deliver it to the web server. However development of modulation method for the dual-inverter fed drives is formidable due to high number of the available switching states. This paper proposes four PWM schemes for the dual-inverter fed OeW 3-phase motor drives. The PWM schemes are developed by dividing the voltage references in a certain way and modulating them in the same or different PWM technique. Simulation results show that the Mixed Switching Frequency (MSF) PWM provides the best output voltage quality among the PWM schemes especially for M > 0.575. At maximum modulation index (M =1.15), THD of the output voltage is improved from 52.88 %, 52.76 %, 32.74% for ERS, URSI and URS2 PWM scheme respectively to 27.45% for the MSF PWM. Further investigation also reveals that the performance of PWM scheme relates with the utilized switching states. The ERS PWM utilizes only 8 switching states while the URS and MSF PWM utilizes 38 switching states among the 64 available states. Balinese language can be written using Latin script and Balinese script. Balinese writing is closely related to Balinese script writing (pasang aksara Bali), in which frequently used in writing on palm leaves, wariga, pipil and others. Listing in Unicode standard allows the storing of Balinese script text into data base, Internet network, and many other benefits such as utilization in mobile software technology. This research tries to develop SMS software which is able to send Balinese script data text. This software is in the form of Latin text input which being translated into Balinese script and then sent using 16-bit SMS standard. Several data were analyzed to evaluate the performance of the support insulator, such as technical design of the insulator, corona imaging result, thermo vision imaging result and pollution deposit analysis using scanning electron microscope (SEM). According to the design evaluation, the support insulator fulfilled the minimum creepage distance requirement for heavily polluted installation area or area with site severity (SPS) class “e”. Corona imaging results showed high corona discharge activity on top and middle segments of the support insulator, while thermo vision imaging results showed partial heating on the support insulator surface which indicated the presence of high leakage current due to pollution. SEM analysis result for pollution deposit on the surface of the insulator showed various chemical compounds including Chlorine which is commonly used as water treatment agent in thermal power plant. Chlorine exposure reduce the breakdown voltage of air especially during high humidity condition, thus increase the possibility of flashover which disturbed adjacent transmission line as phase to ground fault. Water energy sources are dependent on the environment and the season. The potential of location hydropower cannot be adjusted according to desire. We must follow the parameters of the existing location to get the energy. In this study, focus on small-scale power sources, according to the potential in Bali. It is Irrigation channels and streams of small rivers that do not need dams. The new turbine Nest-Lie model is designed to have high efficiency with a small water source. The parameters used as the diameter of the turbine, wide, radius and number of blades. The special parameters of Nest-Lie are pivot angle, nozzle angle and pressure. Those parameters were tested on the prototype model in the laboratory. The results obtained that the RPM on the Nest-Lie turbine produces a very significant difference, with the pressure at 28 psi produced by RPM ranges from 157.2 -231.1 where the angle of position is 0° and at the nozzle angle of 22.5°. One case of this phenomenon was occurred on substation A, which is the source of the backbone transmission for large system. This fault broke the circuit breaker chamber and cause 137MW load outage with 73.1 MWh of energy is not supplied. Also, the fault characteristic showed that it has a same phase angle for the all phases which has never been found in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a study to determine the root cause of this fault and enrich the knowledge about substation fault characteristic. Then, this paper presents the fault analysis through field data analysis, modeling, and simulation. This study found that the cause of in phase current waveform for all three phases is single phase (phase T) to ground fault that is caused by circuit breaker internal failure. It was a grant from The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia to Udayana University. The system consists of 10 unit wind turbines 500Watts each, 80 unit PV panels 330Wp each, batteries 192kVAh, and a 20kVA diesel generator. It meant to supply the classroom building in Department of Electrical Engineering. This paper describe the result of performace evaluation of the system that compare to simulation result. It was found that the performance is much lower than simulation results. The most recent recorded peak load of 26.834 MW occurred on October 2, 2018. Several loss of generation events have been recorded by Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) which placed in several locations in Java-Bali system. The recently installed Wide Area Monitoring System (WAMS) can collect PMU data within the Java-Bali grid so the data can be compared with high accuracy. This paper shows monitoring of frequency response in Java-Bali system during loss of generation event in 2018.
