For this purpose, the data of a total of 15 countries selected from three different income groups between the years 2000-2017 were analyzed. In the study, the effects of the ratio of public health expenditures among public expenditures, infant mortality rate, unemployment rate, CO2 emissions and Gini coefficient variables on life expectancy were investigated. According to the collected panel results, a 1% increase in infant mortality rate and Gini coefficient decreases life expectancy by 0.142% and 0.034%, respectively, while a 1% increase in unemployment rate and public health expenditures increases life expectancy by 0.016% and 0.030%, respectively.","PeriodicalId":438383,"journal":{"name":"Uluslararası Ekonomi, İşletme ve Politika Dergisi","volume":"2011 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114040367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, data on the profit/loss statement and financial position statements of the companies traded in the BIST and the independent audit reports published at the end of the period for 2012 and 2021 were used.. The data obtained in this context were analyzed with the logistic regression method. According to the results obtained from the research, it was determined that there was positive and significant relationship between the audit quality of enterprises and their borrowing costs. According to this relationship, it had been determined that the borrowing costs of the companies audited by BIG 4 audit companies were hıgher than the companies that were not audited. While it was observed that there was a negative and significant relationship between audit quality and firm size, no significant relationship was found between audit quality and leverage ratios.","PeriodicalId":438383,"journal":{"name":"Uluslararası Ekonomi, İşletme ve Politika Dergisi","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127589874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Social capital has an impact on economic development by influencing individuals, businesses, banks and the way they do business, and thus trade. In this study, the studies carried out in the years 2007-2021 are discussed. In order to be able to interpret the quantitative findings of the studies that have dealt with this subject together, studies made on academic databases were scanned, and the findings consisting of 36 studies meeting the determined criteria and having a total of 3,458 observations were synthesized through the meta-analysis method. Research findings of 36 different studies including sample size, standard error, and effect values were analyzed with the help of CMA (Comprehensive Meta-Analysis) program. As a result of the meta-analysis, the effect size was found to be moderate (Fisher Z=0.380). According to the results of the meta-analysis, the H1 was accepted and it was revealed that the social capital level of the countries affected the economic growth at a moderate level. Considering the lack of consensus in the studies in the literature and the difficulty of measuring social capital, it is thought that this general finding is very valuable in terms of the literature and will make an important contribution.","PeriodicalId":438383,"journal":{"name":"Uluslararası Ekonomi, İşletme ve Politika Dergisi","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122855948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Health expenditures have played an important role in public health policies. Urban dynamics, economic development initiatives, and ecological constraints are directly or indirectly determinative on public health expenditures. In this context, the main purpose of the study is to analyze the explanatory relationship between public health expenditures and economic and sociopolitical parameters regarding urbanization and environmental factors. For this purpose, the Panel EGLS model was used to determine the factors that have an impact on public health expenditures for 30 metropolitan cities in Turkey between 2014 and 2018. As a result of the study, it is concluded that the costs of protecting and enhancing public health increased due to excessive population density, air pollution, insufficient hygiene conditions, wastes, and limited urban green space per person caused by rapid and unplanned urbanization in Turkey. Likewise, it is found that socio-demographic parameters such as rise in energy consumption, high education level, and elder population rate, increased demand for public health services.","PeriodicalId":438383,"journal":{"name":"Uluslararası Ekonomi, İşletme ve Politika Dergisi","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115547546","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the study, the effects of regional development agencies on development and local economy were examined in the TRA1 region, based on the support of the Northeast Development Agency. Data Envelopment Analysis was used in the study. The aim of this study; It is to direct RDAs to areas where the private sector is reluctant in the initiative, to mobilize regional dynamics for the creation of new industrial zones, and to evaluate the efficiency-productivity analysis of the DEA and TRA1 region on a provincial basis. In the study, the extent to which KUDAKA contributed to the regional development perspective was evaluated with the help of quantitative data. As a result of DEA, it was determined that Erzurum and Erzincan have effective-fixed scale efficiency, while Bayburt is relatively less efficient with increasing scale efficiency. CCR results were found as 0.31, 1.00 and 1.00 for Bayburt, Erzurum and Erzincan, respectively. In addition, in the study, it is predicted that RDAs are beneficial institutions in both national and local development, and that these structures, which do not have a distant past in Turkey, have some shortcomings, but with the studies to be done, these deficiencies will be eliminated and regional development will reach a more advanced level.","PeriodicalId":438383,"journal":{"name":"Uluslararası Ekonomi, İşletme ve Politika Dergisi","volume":"53 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116476395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
