Reliability index information and operational status data of power generation systems obtained from Taiwan Power Company is collected and used in this paper. Statistical analysis and comparisons can be used to detect the possible abnormalities. An operational performance index based on the lower heating value and availability of a power generation unit is then proposed and used to quantize and compare the operational performance of the generation unit. From test results, it can be observed that the operational performance grade of power generation systems can be effectively determined and operational performances between different power generation systems can be efficiently compared. The proposed operational performance index will be very helpful for observing and enhancing the operational efficiency and reliability of power generation systems.","PeriodicalId":438307,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132948554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, only the groundwater level can be used as the management index. According to the records of existing hot spring observations, the groundwater level of each observation well has changed significantly during the short period of time due to the influence of artificial utilization, and overall it is still affected by the abundance and dry season. In order to obtain a standard management basis, it is necessary to calculate the overall groundwater level change baseline first to deducte the human influence. But lacking the long-term development record of the measured hot spring well, so it can only use the existing data for data analysis. In order to obtain the threshold value of management indicators, thisstudy uses the mobile average and geometric average of Dashan Old Station and Public Bathroom Station to obtain the benchmark groundwater level of each station. Then, with the standard deviation of one standard deviation, two standard deviations, and the largest drop in history, the actual groundwater level, safe groundwater level, severe groundwater level, and bottom limit groundwater level can be obtained. After the comparison, it was learned that Dashan Old Station recorded the lower than the bottom limit groundwater level in about three days in March and April 2016, and the number of days was lower than the safe groundwater level. The actual groundwater level of the Public Bathroom Station was almost above the safe groundwater level.","PeriodicalId":438307,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133803864","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the manual detection and identification of Pyralidae insects are labor intensive, inefficient, and subjective factors can influence recognition accuracy. To address these shortcomings, an unmanned monitoring robot car is designed. Firstly, the robot gets images by performing a fixed action and detect whether there are Pyralidae insects in the images. Secondly, the detection algorithms obtain the total probability image by using reverse mapping of histogram and multi-template images. Finally, according to the Hu moment characters, perimeter and area characters, the contours can be filtrated, and the recognition results are marked by triangles. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed scheme has high timeliness and high recognition accuracy in the natural planting scene.","PeriodicalId":438307,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115050223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According the environment requirements for crop growth, the sensing signals can feed back to relative controllers to drive the relevant equipment. This can help to make the benefits of real-time monitoring. In this study, environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity and soil humidity of a mini-farm, were monitored and transmitted by simple sensors. Transmitting sensors compose of three components: sensors, controllers, and transmitter. Sensors are responsible for sensing environmental parameters and connect to single-chip micro-controllers (Arduino) to get real-time environmental sensing data. Controllers send the sensing signals to the back-end server by way of wireless network (Wi-Fi) and decide which relevant module devices to driven according to the sensing value. For example, driving fans or water mist equipment to improve the temperature and humidity of the growing environment of crops. The back-end server has a database module that can collect data, display monitoring results on the web for planters to statistics, and analyze crop growth.","PeriodicalId":438307,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117078315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the name suggested, the incidence of the syndrome has higher probability of occurrences in fifties or older. However, as working hours become longer, the chances of suffering from the insidious onset of diffusing pain is greater. Especially for workers who have been sitting in front of computers and using mouse for a long period of times without any exercises. This painful shoulder syndrome associated with working men happens more often than those of average persons. The paper applies IoT methodologies connecting a simple sensor to control the mouse usage and monitoring rehabilitation actions of the workers. The aggregated data are integrated into a database. Therefore, doctors can review the mouse usages and rehabilitation records at any moment. According to the data, doctors can diagnose promptly to reduce the incidence of Frozen shoulder or improve the condition of the symptom for the workers.","PeriodicalId":438307,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ICAM)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127499794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
