The increasing need for eggs must be met quickly for various circumstances. Eggs are subjected to various impacts and shaken from production to packaging. In some cases, these effects cause an eggshell to crack. While these cracks are sometimes visible, sometimes they are micro-sized and cannot be seen. The crack causes an egg to enter into harmful microorganisms and spoil in a short time. In this study, the acoustic signals generated in consequence of the application using a mechanical contact to eggs were recorded for the duration of 0.2 seconds at 50 kHz sampling frequency with the help of a microphone. To determine the active part in the collected acoustic signal data, a clipping process was implemented by a thresholding process. Thus, the exactly correct moment of mechanical contact on the eggshell was easily detected. Statistical parameters, which are min, max, difference, mean, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis values, are extracted from the thresholded data signals so that 7-dimensional feature vectors has been constituted. Finally, the Common Vector Approach (CVA) is applied on the extracted feature vectors, 100% success rate has been achieved for the test data set. The ANN and SVM classifiers in where the same feature vectors are treated were used for the comparison purpose, and exactly the same classification rates are attained; however, the less number of eggs are tested with the ANN and SVM classifiers in the same amount of time. With the proposed mechanical system and classification methodology, it takes about 0.2008 seconds to determine whether the shells of eggs are cracked/intact. These concerns prompt the researchers to find widely available and renewable alternative such as biomass instead of the fossil fuels. Microalgae is one of the promising biofuels owing to its rapid growth speed and higher calorific value. Steam gasification is an alternative way converting biomass to syngas with higher H2 and lower CO2 content compared with the other thermochemical conversion processes. In the present work, the downdraft gasifier model was developed by using Aspen Plus® program that has the capability to investigate the performance of microalgae gasification. Before the performance evaluation of the gasification, validation of the model successfully completed and exit gas compositions of H2, CO2, CO and CH4 were found very close for experimental study and the developed model. Effects of the main parameters of the process such as steam/biomass ratio and gasification temperature were assessed on the syngas composition and higher heating value (HHV) of syngas. The obtained results were stated that the increment in the temperature showed great effect on the H2 and CO compositions of syngas, they increased from 50.72% to 56.47% and 28.11% to 28.84% respectively. The simulation results also illustrated that the rising of the S/B ratio was favored the steam related reactions and increased the H2 content in syngas. The fuzzy time series method has been widely used in recent years as it is more convenient to process data in small samples which are incomplete and/or ambiguous, and it does not contain any assumptions for time series. In this study, fuzzy time series analysis was used to predict CO2 emission values for Turkey. For this purpose, time series (annual) for total greenhouse gas emissions by sectors (CO2 equivalent) between 1990 and 2016 were analyzed. The main goal of this study is to model greenhouse gas emission statistics in Turkey with fuzzy time series analysis.
