The aim of the seminar was not only to connect museum institutions, but also to present positive examples of the presentation of history in small museums. The theoretical and practical level of the presentation of history is important and its form is influenced not only by museum historians, but also by other professionals focusing on communication with the museum visitor. Individual thematic blocks focused on different views of the internal and external communication of the museum and the public.","PeriodicalId":435640,"journal":{"name":"Muzeum Muzejní a vlastivedná práce","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121812261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The papers presented a wide range of organological topics related to the fields of stringed instruments and especially wind instrument (woodwind and brass). During the conference, various options for the research methodology were presented: from the description of the construction and technical features of the instrument, decoration and design, through archival research, socio-economic aspects of production and trade, to the acoustic properties of the instruments. There was also the topic of the use of social media.","PeriodicalId":435640,"journal":{"name":"Muzeum Muzejní a vlastivedná práce","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129163332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors of the study present for the first time the story of the Moravian native who left his homeland in 1895 to pursue his American dream. Jedlička Records represent a valuable example of Czech (mostly traditional folk) songs popular among the Czech minority in the early 20th century. They also represent a significant contribution to the sound cultural heritage of the Czech community in the US and to the history of the recording and distribution industry.","PeriodicalId":435640,"journal":{"name":"Muzeum Muzejní a vlastivedná práce","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131148349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, technological equipment intended for teams in professional laboratories reaches price levels that cultural institutions often do not have enough finances. Procedures and methods using equipment, which institutions often already own or are not so expensive to acquire, come to the fore. One of them is the RTI (Reflectance Transformation Imaging) method, which creates a spatial relief composed of a sequence of images with visible lighting. The RTI method is very successful in depicting illegible or wiped details and is already widely used in archaeology.","PeriodicalId":435640,"journal":{"name":"Muzeum Muzejní a vlastivedná práce","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132754263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many cities, museums and galleries are located side by side, and museums also hold gallery exhibitions. Museums of local history have considerable potential to supplement such an exhibition with the help of other museum collection objects of a non-artistic nature, such as the document of time of life and work of a given artist or related to the theme of the presented work. This makes the exhibition attractive to a wider range of visitors. The author describes art exhibitions in which collection items from various areas of human activity, realized in the Žďár Regional Museum, were connected and presents them as inspiration or a topic to reflect on colleagues from the field who do not yet use the potential of their collection items in a similar spirit.","PeriodicalId":435640,"journal":{"name":"Muzeum Muzejní a vlastivedná práce","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124745257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The project could not have been created without long-term professional work, therefore the article outlines also the development of archeology in Ostrava. The main content of the project are the videos, each of them about 7–10 minutes long. Through these videos are introduced to the public the results of the in many cases interdisciplinary work. The videos are placed on the YouTube channel of the Ostrava Museum. In the caption below the individual videos is always offered additional online content or literature for more information. The preparation of the videos begins with the narration of the text and continues with the overall processing of the audiovisual image, including subtitles. More popular are those videos, which convey a certain story (A Girl Named Mariana) or discuss a castle (Landek, Poslední ostravský hrad) or a treasure (Hulvácký poklad). In the future it is planned to expand the topic of videos by other independent projects.","PeriodicalId":435640,"journal":{"name":"Muzeum Muzejní a vlastivedná práce","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129857111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
