In the case of cloud environment it is even a critical factor. In large environments like the cloud computing systems, it can be difficult to maintain a comprehensive view of the safety of the individual elements. For this reason, the utilization of technology that would allow central monitoring and that would help to maintain this awareness. Such technology is precisely Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). The main objective of this paper is to analyze the possibilities and approaches of SIEM in terms of technical requirements, logic and legal framework of the Czech Republic. On the analytical basis, the framework, which is bounding the utilization of SIEM in a cloud computing environment is proposed.","PeriodicalId":435053,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI)","volume":"252 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122497647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heavy quantization results in low number of layers present in range images. These values suffer from systematic error and must not be treated as random additive noise. In our method we utilize morphologic operations for noise noise reduction and skeleton extraction for each layer. Based on the extracted features such as layer skeletons we present an algorithm to identify and classify edges in range images. We present edge detection results of simulated and captured real range images.","PeriodicalId":435053,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126345109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, descriptive variables are usually fixed in time and lack actionability and responsiveness power. Some studies suggested that value based segmentation is the most significant from the standpoint of marketing activities. The customer lifetime value (CLV) metric, which aims to predict the future value of each customer, is often recommended as an interesting feature to segment customers. However, segmentation based on the two CLV components, number of transactions and lifetime, helps to better explain the customer behavior and to propose more effective marketing actions. In this work, we propose a Multicriterion segmentation approach based both on descriptive variables and on CLV components. The Multicriterion problem is solved using genetic algorithms by generating a set of Pareto-optimal solutions. The empirical analysis shows the ability of the proposed approach to characterize customer segments and to propose appropriate marketing actions.","PeriodicalId":435053,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129753833","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A consequence of this it may be seen also in the business model used. The Customer-to-Business model is beginning to be used more often on the market. This paper presents a solution for this business model, solution that tries to overtake some of its disadvantages like to identify a group of clients without a communication between them, to select a product or service very close to the clients demand based on a multi-criteria analysis, to optimize the network traffic. The proposed solution is based on the multi-agent technology, a data mining algorithm and a communication algorithm for mobile agents. Finally, an implementation of synthetizing clients' preferences using a specific algorithm is shown for the case of an internet banking service provider.","PeriodicalId":435053,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI)","volume":"253 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115280889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First the substation area is represented with a mathematical graph. A combination of iterative and recursive methods are applied to draw that graph. There are two iterative steps: the whole graph is partitioned into feeders and the main branch of each feeder is further partitioned into subgraphs of one or more vertices around the vertices corresponding to the nodes of the main branch. There is one recursive step, namely each feeder might contain non-trivial, lateral branches which are recursively drawn with the same algorithm. The algorithm automatically arranges multiple feeders around the supply substation. The drawn direction of each feeder can be different, either left, right, up or down. The algorithm was tested on multiple distribution substation areas exported from three different real life (European) distribution network models. It produced visually pleasing diagrams even for graphs with more than 1000 vertices. Each auto-generated diagram was assessed with a diagram assessment formula specifically developed by the authors for measuring the quality of the generated one line diagrams.","PeriodicalId":435053,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131388216","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been widely used in neural networks where memristors are utilised as synaptic weights (connection sites) between neurons. In particular, current research focuses on the spiking-time dependant plasticity (STDP) which is an important synaptic modification rule based on the timings of the pre- and postsynaptic spikes. It has been revealed that the memristor is intrinsically similar with a synapse and capable to mimic the long-term depression (LTD) and long-term potentiation (LTP) behaviours under the STDP rule. Further studies show that the associative learning can be mimicked by memristive neural networks through proper learning rules. However, such studies focus on demonstrating the process of building the association, which lacks the retention loss process of forgetting the association. In this paper, a rate-based term is proposed to improve the previous model, and therefore the retention loss process can be implemented in the given network. The results demonstrate that the network with the improved model can successfully reproduce the retention loss process meanwhile retaining the process of building the association.","PeriodicalId":435053,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127451397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
