The behavior of the structure was studied by experimental and numerical approach. Experimental results show that the lateral load capacity in eccentric window frame (EW) is 1.17 times of central window frame (CW due to interruption of diagonal loaded action by the central opening. The elastic condition of CW frame and EW frame is obtained at lateral drift of 0.2% and 0.4% respectively. As a result of weak mortar interaction, the diagonal action of crack distribution emerges along the corner of the panel in testing A numerical simulation was performed and validated with experimental results. As the comparison of results, the elastic limit points coincide between the two approaches of numerical and experimental. However, the slightly difference occurs at the peak point. The similarity can be seen in the range of 80% to 100% in the value of peak load and displacement at peak load. Workplace accidents are considered a serious threat to workers and equipment, potentially affecting productivity and environmental safety. Observations at several vocational schools, especially at SMK Negeri 1 Batipuh, showed low student awareness and compliance with OHS regulations, increasing the risk of risky behaviour and accidents. To address this, the research used the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method, which systematically identifies hazards, evaluates risks based on severity and likelihood, and proposes control measures. The research at SMK Negeri 1 Batipuh involved direct observation, interviews, and analysis of SOPs in the workshop, finding significant risk variations in workshop conditions, lathe operations, welding, material handling, hand tool use, and machine protection. The results highlighted the predominance of intermediate risks in all-hazards analyzed, emphasizing the importance of developing more effective risk management strategies. This research aims to reduce accidents and improve student safety during training by addressing existing OHS implementation gaps and implementing appropriate risk controls. The design causes a large drag, so the railway crane requires high fuel consumption to drive. Therefore, this study aims to modify the front body of the railway crane by applying the shape of the leading edge to reduce drag. This research also investigates the effect of leading-edge angles on aerodynamic characteristics. The method used is computational fluid dynamics, using the flow simulation feature of the Solidworks research licence software. This study considered three variations of leading edge angle (40°, 45° and 50°). The simulation results show that the larger the leading edge angle, the lower the drag coefficient value. In addition, the simulation shows that there is a high air pressure at the front of the railway crane with the bluff shape, while the modified railway crane with the leading edge applied has a lower air pressure at the front. We used this approach to identify challenges in learning mechanical engineering, including lack of time to learn CAD, suboptimal mechanical drawing skills, and limitations in producing details of mechanical components. Through a quasi-experiment with experimental and control classes, we measured the impact of the experiential learning method on improving conceptual understanding and practical skills in mechanical drawing. The results show that this approach is effective in improving students' understanding of detailed drawings and practical skills. The implementation of Experiential Learning also improved students' cognitive learning outcomes and psychomotor skills in mechanical drawing. Therefore, it is necessary to design a frame that can withstand the load and is lightweight. A lighter motorcycle will reduce the power required to ride it. This research aims to redesign the frame of a trail-type ELGO electric motorbike by considering a reduction in frame weight. The research was carried out using finite element analysis. The data from the analysis were checked based on the maximum stress not exceeding the yield strength of the DIN 1.0030 material and the safety factor greater than 1. The results showed that the newly designed frame has a lighter weight, with a maximum stress less than the yield strength of the DIN 1.0030 material and a safety factor value greater than 1. Particularly in the context of education in Vocational High Schools, developing students' competencies in collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving is essential. This study explores the effectiveness of the case-based learning method in improving students' understanding of industrial mechanics. The study used a quasi-experiment design with control and experimental groups. The statistical analysis results showed that the case method was more effective in improving students' cognitive mastery than the conventional lecture method. Students who participated in case method learning showed significant improvement in the post-intervention test, demonstrating the superiority of this method in supporting a more effective learning process and preparing students for practical challenges in the field. In conclusion, the case method increases students' participation and interactivity in the learning process and deepens their understanding of technical concepts in industrial mechanics. This study aims to determine the level of support of factors (motivation, interest, family, teacher's role, learning methods and learning facilities) that influence the learning process in achieving student learning outcomes in CNC learning in class XI. The subjects in the study were Class XI students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 5 Padang in the 2022/2023 academic year totalling 37 people. Because the number of research subjects (population) is less than 100 people, so all of them are taken as samples or total sampling. Data collection was carried out using observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical techniques. From the data analysis, it shows that of each factor studied, the learning facility factor has the lowest level of support for student academic success compared to other factors that have been studied by researchers. Employing a class action research design with saturated sampling, the research findings revealed that the implementation of video tutorials significantly improved student motivation and learning outcomes. The use of video tutorials captured students' interest, resulting in increased motivation for learning Shield Metal Arc Welding. In the initial cycle, student motivation in Class XI Welding Engineering at State Vocational High School 1 Bukittinggi, as measured in meeting I, stood at 54%, indicating a less motivated state. By meeting II of cycle I, the motivation increased to 61%, categorized as moderately motivated. In the subsequent cycle, meeting I recorded a motivation level of 72%, demonstrating a motivated state, while meeting II in cycle II reached 82%, indicating a highly motivated state. Consequently, there was a noticeable progression in student learning motivation from cycle I to cycle II. Furthermore, student learning outcomes in Shield Metal Arc Welding for Class XI Welding Engineering at State Vocational High School 1 Bukittinggi improved when videos were utilized as interactive media. In cycle I, the average student learning outcome was 77.88, categorized as moderate. In cycle II, the average increased to 79.06, reflecting a high level of achievement. This study aims to investigate the type of mesh and the number of cells that are appropriately used in the simulation of centrifugal fans using the Solidworks Flow Simulation module. The research was conducted by comparing the simulation results with the experimental results on centrifugal fans that have been carried out by previous studies. In this research, the type of mesh used is global mesh. The parameter of determining the number of cells is done by varying the mesh level because the mesh level affects the number of cells. In this simulation study, the boundary condition is set to one flow volume of 5 m3/h and a rotation speed of 92.362 rad/s. In this study, the total pressure and efficiency of the centrifugal fan are the things that are seen from the comparison of flow simulation with the experiment. Based on the simulation results that have been carried out, mesh levels 1 to 4 show results that differ significantly from the experimental results. At machine levels 5 to 7, the results are close to the experimental results, but the closest total pressure and efficiency values are at mesh level 5. One of the factors influencing the performance of a centrifugal pump is the number of blades used. This research aims to explore the influence of the number of blades on a centrifugal pump used as a fluid transfer device for crude oil. The study was conducted using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. The analyzed variations of the number of blades included three options, namely centrifugal pumps with 12, 14, and 16 blades. Based on the simulation results conducted using Solidworks Research License 2021-2022 software, it was found that the centrifugal pump with 12 blades exhibited the most optimal performance. The simulation results show uniform flow and pressure around the mid-span plane of the 12-blade impeller.
