En el análisis multimodal se toman en consideración los recursos verbales y no verbales (gestos, movimientos de las manos, expresiones faciales) vinculados con estos rituales. El corpus principal consiste en 44 vídeos analizados, uno por cada youtuber, participante de Tubecon Madrid en 2017. La elección de Tubecon como marco referencial permite explorar el fenómeno con una variedad mayor que da a conocer mejor a la generación de los youtubers en su conjunto. Según los resultados, los saludos resultan más neutrales que las despedidas. Estas se caracterizan por el mayor peso afectivo, por la ampliación temporal del ritual y por la provechosa diversificación de los recursos usados. Asimismo, en los resultados se acentúan la simetría y la cercanía de las relaciones interpersonales de la comunidad virtual. We collect a corpus of 38 million Twitter messages with two million geographical coordinates to map the languages used across Finland at the level of regions and municipalities. To cope with the high volume of social media data, we use automatic language identification and place of residence detection. We estimate the linguistic richness and diversity of users and locations using measures developed within ecology and information sciences. The analyses reveal a rich, multilingual environment that varies geographically and temporally, particularly between coastal, rural and urban areas. Es wird anhand konkreter Anwendungsbereiche erläutert, wie Sprache als Ersatz von nicht-sprachlichen Informationen fungiert, und darauffolgend veranschaulicht, wie unterschiedliche Sprachen wegen ihrer unterschiedlichen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten bzw. -konventionen diesen Ersatz gewährleisten. Das sprachliche Beschreiben wird dabei in den Fokus gerückt, weil es einen wesentlichen Zugang zu visuellen und audiovisuellen Inhalten in Bereichen wie ‚deskriptive Metadaten‘ sowie ‚Audio- und Videodeskription‘ leistet. Danach wird durch eine kontrastive Fallanalyse der deutschen, englischen und spanischen Audiodeskription eines Films veranschaulicht, welche Anforderungen die Wahl der Sprache an das Beschreiben von Visualität stellt. Der Status Quo, bestehende Herausforderungen und Perspektiven werden am Beispiel der germanistischen und geisteswissenschaftlichen Aktivitäten an der Universität Duisburg-Essen (UDE) entwickelt und aufgezeigt. Nach einer Einführung (1.) wird der Entwicklungsstand im Bereich Digitalisierung in den Geisteswissenschaften, mit Fokus auf die Germanistische Linguistik, dargestellt (2.). Daran schließen sich Betrachtungen zur Digitalisierung in der Lehre in der Coronakrise an; dies geschieht am Beispiel der Universität Duisburg-Essen und speziell der Germanistik (3.). In Abschnitt 4. wird die Digitalisierung in der Forschung in den Fokus gerückt, hier mit Beispielen aus der Germanistik und den Geisteswissenschaften der UDE. Zunächst wird dabei auf bestehende/laufende Projekte fokussiert, wonach die Genese neuer Korpora als Betrachtungspunkt folgt. Hieran schließen sich Gedanken zum Forschungsdatenmanagement an (5.). This paper analyzes the variants collected in the critical apparatus of Kane’s (1988) edition of the A text in order to find out how frequently the scribes reduced alliteration in a line. It seems that some variants were introduced at such an early stage that they were passed down in the text tradition. Moreover, while it is certainly not possible to tell why exactly a scribe introduced a certain variant, there are certain patterns among the non-alliterating variants.
