Guaranteeing an acceptable quality standard for food production, one that causes no damage to the consumer`s health, is a priority for agricultural producers, especially for those in the exportation market. Failure in keeping those standards results in severe restrictions by other countries – an example being the prohibition of meat export stored in refrigerators investigated in the Brazilian police operation Carne Fraca – which result in deep impacts in the economy of a country. The development and enhancement of food traceability systems is a field of study that brings benefits for producers. As such, we proposed a systematic review of literature about the use of wireless sensor networks (WSN) in agriculture. The applications of WSN found in the process of the systematic review are traceability systems in the chain of production, monitoring systems and the enhancement of WSN.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116641313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Query reformulation methods have been widely applied in an attempt to provide a better representation of the user’s query and thus improve retrieval performance. In this paper, we present a new query reweighting method for document retrieval based on term co-occurrence graphs, which are built using a context window-based approach over the entire corpus. We propose an adapted version of the well-established Okapi BM25 model that allows identifying the most informative terms in the query and assigning them optimal weights. This measure stands out by its ability to evaluate the discriminative power of terms from co-occurrence graphs. Experimental results on two standard ad-hoc TREC collections show that our method improves both retrieval effectiveness and robustness and outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines with significant margins. 4, we can see that our method obtains a largely higher robustness score than the PRF methods in the Robust04 collection and achieves similar values in the Washington Post collection. These results confirm that our proposal is shown to be both more effective and more robust than the state-of-the-art baseline methods.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131756236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is very likely to manipulate data without knowledge about their structures and their semantics. The subject covered in this paper aims at assisting the user in its quality approach. The data must be related to its semantic meaning, data types, constraints, comments and origin. We deal with the semantic schema recognition of a data source. It consists of categorizing the data by assigning it to a category and possibly a sub-category, and secondly, of establishing relations between columns and possibly discovering the semantics of the manipulated data source. These links detected between columns offer a better understanding of the source and the alternatives for correcting data.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130029213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, a hybrid approach to big data streams analysis is proposed and developed. This approach allows the automated monitoring and forecasting of situations development through processing streams of heterogeneous data which is presented, in particular, by text documents, time series and database records. The proposed approach includes detecting events in data streams, forming situations, identifying possible scenarios for their further development and preparing suggestions for decision makers. To represent events that are reflected in a stream of structured data, a frame-based model is proposed. To form situational chains that reflect the development of innovative technologies, an incremental clustering method is used. Forecasting further evolution of the analyzed innovative technology consists in forming possible scenarios for the situation’s development based on the case-based approach. An example of an event and a situation detected in a stream of structured data, as well as an example of a scenario generated for the detected situation are presented.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115804306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
