The article is devoted to the development of an approach to the creation of a hybrid intellectual system for determining the location of objects from their photographs. The analysis of existing approaches to the assessment of geolocation of photographs was carried out; a generalized structure of the hybrid intelligent system for determining the location of objects from their photographs was proposed. To assess the location, it is proposed to analyze both the data on the GPS coordinates of the original photo and those similar to it, and the classification of objects in the photo: city, nature. Geolocation is considered as a classification problem when the earth's surface is divided into disjoint adjacent cells.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127603979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because data represents the main support for decision making, an efficient traceability process must ensure that the data to be tracked is in line with reality. With Internet of Things and real-time data availability, you can have accurate and reliable decision-making by enabling smart tools to collect data automatically and send it to the traceability system. The purpose of this paperwork is to specify an Internet Architecture of Things for a grain traceability framework. The proposed model considers the specifications of the RastroGrão framework and the Internet reference of Things of the Internet of Things Architecture project. The model obtained reduces human error and provides food safety.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127565908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, within such networks the recorded data is just forwarded to a database. There servers with more resources can access the data, to realize monitoring, visualization and statistical analysis. Therefore as an addition to such WSNs an edge computing approach is proposed, where some of the compute-intensive tasks are outsourced into sub layers. This will be applied on a sensor network, which measures several physical quantities to determine the indoor air quality.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125042101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The consequence is that different data sets, even related to the same domain, may have different structures, even though they describe the same information. Thus, analysts must collect and face heterogeneous data structures during the analysis process. Although JSON stores are schema free by definition, their query languages still lack suitable constructs for flexibly querying heterogeneous repositories of JSON documents by expressing linguistic and/or imprecise predicates. In this work, we try to define a first proposal for a flexible query language, based on J-CO-QL, aimed at exploiting the flexibility offered by Fuzzy Set Theory to exploit imprecise (linguistic) concepts or to deal with uncertainty. J-CO-QL is the query language of the J-CO framework, designed to query and transform large and heterogeneous JSON data sets.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123778550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to this attraction, manufacturers and retailers rely on spammers to promote their own products and demote the competitors’ one by posting fake reviews. Therefore, it is essential to detect deceptive reviews in order to ensure customers confidence and to maintain companies' fair competition. To tackle this problem, we propose a new approach able to spot spam reviews relying both on the rating reviews and the different spammers' indicators under the belief function framework. This method treats uncertainty in the given reviews also in the reviewers' information to take into account each reviewer spamicity when making decision. Experiments are conducted on two real-world review data-sets from Yelp.com with filtered (spam) and recommended (non-spam) reviews to demonstrate our method the effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122925095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For instance, the competence of Case Based Reasoning (CBR) systems in solving new problems depends mainly on the concept of cases coverage of the problem space. In this paper, we propose a new model for Case Base competence estimation that is based on cases coverage and partitioning, and enables the exploitation of available prior knowledge. This kind of background, which is handled in form of pairwise constraints, may be offered by domain-experts to aid the automated learning process. Actually, it is also important to manage the uncertainty involved by CBR systems' knowledge, since they reflect real-world situations. Our proposal tackles this latter problem under the belief function framework.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127635340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent advancement in the uses of metaheuristics techniques are promising approach in scheduling resources to hungry applications, but however, are limited in their performances due to issues like premature convergence. To overcome this concern with the aim to provide an effective scheduling, we propose a non-preemptive Hybrid Cat Swarm Optimization Scheme (HCSOS) to serve as an ideal solution. In the proposed scheme, orthogonal Taguchi approach is incorporated to overcome premature convergence, and minimizes local and global imbalance, while Pareto dominant strategy is used for providing customers with the option of selecting their service preferences. The results of the simulation on CloudSim tool show that our proposed scheme compared to the benchmarked schemes can achieve a minimum total execution time and cost (with up to 42.87%, 35.47%, 25.49% and 38.62%, 35.32%, 25.56% reduction). We further unveiled that a statistical analysis based on 95% confidence interval shows our proposed HCSOS scheme is remarkable in term of efficiency.","PeriodicalId":432605,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Applied Computing 2019","volume":"445 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131599715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
