In this two years, on-line and offline blended teaching mode became the mainstream all over the world because of the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19. This promised “suspended classes without suspension of learning” in colleges and universities. On-line teaching and off-ling teaching play different roles in blended teaching. The on-line teaching video playback solves the problems of timeliness and geographical limitation in classroom teaching. Students from all universities can watch teaching videos of some famous teachers in top universities in on-line teaching platform. Internet social App, such as Ding talk and QQ, can enhance the interaction between teachers and students at any time. Implementation of some research simulation tool in on-line teaching can increase the interest and mobilize the students' learning initiative. Face to face teaching and discuss in classroom teaching is useful to explain some difficult knowledge. On-site experiment can enhanced the student hand-on skills. Course design can improve the engine design ability of students. On-line teaching and off-line blended teaching can combine the advantages of both and improve the teaching effect of power electronic technology.","PeriodicalId":432459,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Educational Technology (ICET)","volume":"283 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116092614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teams of scientists of different fields carry out research into the impact of studies organization in the pandemic on the education system. The purpose of this study was to summarize and analyze the impact of self-isolation on the mental health of university students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; identify the most vulnerable groups of students and risk factors for anxiety and stress. The study was carried out based on three Moscow universities: Russian State Social University, Moscow State University of Food Production, and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. To determine the dependence of the mental state of students on self-isolation during studies, the modified questionnaire by A. Kecojevic and co-authors was used. The study comprised 872 students (68% - female, 32% - male) 1st–4th year Bachelor students and 1st–2d year Master students at the age of 17–23, enrolled in full-time programs in Social and Humanitarian Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The findings have supported the assumption that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the mental health of students. It has been found out that the 4th year undergraduate and the 1st year graduate students are most susceptible to stress, anxiety and uncertainty about their future in comparison with other students. The COVID-19 epidemic still goes on, which can result in further deterioration of the mental health of students, and therefore, more research is required in this field. Researchers should pay attention to the adaptation of students after their return to university, the dynamics of interpersonal relationships with peers, factors influencing the emotional state and depression.","PeriodicalId":432459,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Educational Technology (ICET)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116174385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among these skills are known as the “Four C's” - communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. With the sudden shift of the educational paradigm, this case study intends to identify the challenges the students face in acquiring the 4Cs, which would lead to identifying the effects of online distance learning on the acquisition of the 4Cs. An in-depth study was made to identify the improved practices of a beginning teacher and how these practices can be applied that would integrate the 4Cs to the students. The participants of the study will include senior high school students of De La Salle University-Laguna Campus. Challenges were mentioned within the experience of online distance learning. As such, these problems impacted the students' acquisition of 4Cs. The suggested practices of a beginning teacher include three categories which are the utilization of interactive materials, technological management, and enhancing students' learning experience. There may be a lot of factors to consider when applying the 4Cs during online distance learning, but as future educators, the important thing is to always be open to adjustments and ensure that quality education is always being delivered to the students.","PeriodicalId":432459,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Educational Technology (ICET)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132406149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
