The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acceptance and commitment therapy based on the health belief model on the depression of pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Methods: This research used a quantitative quasi-experiment design with pre-posttest control group design. There were 56 respondents in this study selected using consecutive sampling   among the Primary Healthcare Center in Sidoarjo district. The independent variables were acceptance and commitment therapy based on the health belief model. The dependent variable was depression. Measurement of depression used the Beck Depression inventory II questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test. Results: The results showed that the treatment group p=0.000 (p<0.05) and control group p=0.000 (p<0.05), but the delta of the treatment group higher than the control group (delta: -9.79). There were differences in depression values obtained between the treatment group and the control group p=0.001 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Acceptance and commitment therapy based on the health belief model given four sessions for 30-45 minutes each session can lower depression level in pulmonary tuberculosis patients rather than a single intervention of health education. This intervention can be used by nurses to help pulmonary tuberculosis patients overcome psychological problems during treatment.","PeriodicalId":431220,"journal":{"name":"INDONESIAN NURSING JOURNAL OF EDUCATION AND CLINIC (INJEC)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127921148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The prevalence of hypertension in working-age or productive age in Indonesia has increased significantly in recent years. There are many risk factors for hypertension in adults, one of which is lack of sleep. Sleep disorders can increase the risk of hypertension. This study aimed at finding out the relationship between sleep quality and the incidence of hypertension among the working-age population in Indonesia. Methods: This study utilized secondary data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5 data with a cross-sectional study design. The sample in IFLS 5 was taken using Multistage random sampling. The number of samples was 8,815 with inclusion criteria, which included that respondents were 15-64 years old and had complete data on the variables studied, namely: age, sex, sleep quality, physical activity, Body Mass Index (BMI), smoking habits and hypertension. Data were analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Results: Respondents with poor sleep quality had 1.39 higher odds of experiencing hypertension compared to respondents who had good sleep quality after being controlled by variables of gender, age, smoking status, physical activity, and nutritional status. (Poor-good sleep quality=1.39, 95% CI 1.20-1.61 p=0.000). Conclusions: It is necessary to strengthen information about health promotion regarding the prevention of hypertension in the community, especially good time management, to maintain sleep quality and the need for health programs on prevention of hypertension carried out by the ministry of health to the community through existing health-workers.","PeriodicalId":431220,"journal":{"name":"INDONESIAN NURSING JOURNAL OF EDUCATION AND CLINIC (INJEC)","volume":"2 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133204908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sampling 97 respondents with a purposive sample technique. Results: Family perceptions about nurses in the positive category (73.2%). The level of family readiness in accepting return planning in the good category (53.6%), the results of the bivariate analysis using the Spearman rating relate to family perceptions about nurse advocacy with readiness in accepting return planning with a p value of 0.00 <alpha 0.01. They are technology and socially-savvy consumers who grew up in the world of internet and smartphones. However, little is known about this generation, particularly among nursing students and how they use Facebook for academic purposes. The purpose of this study was to determine nursing students’ usage, perception, and satisfaction with Facebook for educational purposes Methods:A descriptive, cross-sectional research design was used. A total of 113 conveniently chosen nursing students in a Nursing College in the Philippines participated in the survey. Data were collected using an adopted questionnaire administered via online survey. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools were used to analyze the data. Results: Results indicated that majority of nursing students moderately (M=3.58) use Facebook for educational purposes to communicate, collaborate, and share academic or learning materials. They generallyhad a good perception of (M=4.36) and were highly satisfied (Mean=3.95) with using Facebook for educational purposes. The main challenge reported by 81.42% of nursing students in the use of Facebook was distraction from other Facebook contents. There was a significant positive relationship between usage and perception (p=.000) likewise between satisfaction and recommendation in the use of Facebook for educational purposes (p=.000). Conclusions:While Facebook showcases promising potential as a learning tool, challenges associated with its use in nursingeducation must be properly addressed. Careful consideration and thoughtful planning are necessary for nursing schools to maximize the advantages of Facebook as a supplemental tool for learning.","PeriodicalId":431220,"journal":{"name":"INDONESIAN NURSING JOURNAL OF EDUCATION AND CLINIC (INJEC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129213124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
