Because the on-orbit data of the communication satellite system has the characteristics of realtime, large data volume and few invalid data, how to quickly collect and collate the on-orbit reliability data and perform reliability evaluation in real time is the problem to be solved in this paper. At present, the traditional reliability assessment cannot automatically evaluate the reliability data, and it needs to perform multiple discrete preprocessing processes, which affects the real-time performance of reliability assessment. Therefore, this paper studies how to use UML technology to quickly capture satellite in-orbit data. And converted into reliability data, research MATLAB interface technology (packaging technology), combined with exponential distribution reliability evaluation model to form an automated on-orbit reliability evaluation program, in order to carry out satellite battery in-orbit data reliability assessment, improve reliability assessment work s efficiency.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128957908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It offers communication across various modern smart city applications, for example, using communication technologies like wireless sensor networks that would generate a huge amount of data. It is imperative to maintain reliable and trustworthy interactions over things to guarantee proliferation of IoT applications. As these applications are being rolled out in many fields, sensitive data need to be safeguarded against misuse and/or leakage. Moreover, promptness and real-time responses should feature all IoT services. This paper explores, through an experimental framework, the integration of blockchain into IoT in order to investigate its impact, security enhancements, and limitations or open challenges it might bring. A private fork on Ethereum blockchain platform is developed to connect IoT devices (Raspberry pi) deployed to detect car crashes so, that, the process of insurance claims are expediated. The same scenario is also deployed on public Ethereum network in order to offer a comprehensive overview of both public and private blockchain platforms and their related security issues and challenges. The findings formulate a rigid foundation upon which a proper and efficient IoT paradigm can be provisioned to unlock blockchain technology potentials in different other domains besides IoT.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129865210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The E2412-04 standard approved by ASTM presents a method for calculating oil condition monitoring parameters using FTIR spectroscopy. In this work, the values of ASTM parameters for 35 diesel engine oil samples were obtained to analyze the relationship between the ASTM parameters, such as the oxidation value, water content and other parameters, and the mileage of the vehicle. The driving environment of vehicle is demonstrated to be influential to lubricant oil oxidation using the ratio of oxidation rate in plateau area and in high temperature region. It is proposed that oxidation and nitration values are suitable for oil degradation analysis and oil replacement interval prediction. Further, considering the mileage, load ratio, temperature, air pressure and interference factors, the neural network of oil oxidation is constructed, and the method of oil replacement interval prediction is proposed.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"295 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127559446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our approximations rely on the concept of critical links. A link is called critical if its removal increases the required number of driver nodes. We validate our approximation on both realworld and synthetic networks. For random attacks, the approximation is always very good, as long as the fraction of removed links is smaller than the fraction of critical links. For some cases, the approximation is still accurate for larger fractions of removed links. The approximation for an attack, where first the critical links are removed, is also accurate, as long as the fraction of removed links is sufficiently small. Finally, we show that the critical link attack is the most effective among 4 considered attacks, as long as the fraction of removed links is smaller than the fraction of critical links.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"95 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120884218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A SIS consists of hardware components and a software part - the program. Failure Mode Reasoning (FMR) is a novel abstraction technique for identifying and quantifying failure modes of SIS hardware components based on an analysis of the SIS program. In FMR, the program is divided into smaller segments, for each of which a local analysis of failure modes is carried out to identify input failure modes based on the function of the segment and a given failure mode at its output. The results of local analyses are then combined and simplified into a short list of global input failure modes. This paper explains the concepts of FMR and demonstrates its application through a real-life example. A comparison with other methods, such as Fault Tree Analysis is given in order to highlight the role of FMR in enhancing safety analysis of SIS.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"9 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120997358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Periodic test plays an important role to maintain reactor protection system at a high level of operational reliability. The periodic test is carried out with every redundant channel independently and cause large fluctuations in the overall reliability of the system, in which the test frequency and test duration are main aspects to study its influence on the reactor protection system reliability. The research simulates the periodic test with direct Monte Carlo method and gets the unavailability curve of the protection system under periodic test.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124377726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, battery modeling has been one of most developed research areas during the last two decades. In this context, the Millner model, which is based on crack propagation theory, provides an accurate mathematical model for the analysis of the degradation (i.e., aging or capacity fading) of lithium-ion cells. In order to extend the application of the Millner model in a practical and simplified way, this work describes a method to empirically set the coefficients of this model by extracting these values from experimental data only published by the manufacturer and some researchers. When simulating an AMP20m1HD-A prismatic pouch cell at different working and operating conditions, the results show an accurate analysis of the capacity fading, with an error of generally less than 3%.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"203 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134459016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

VoI is a metric that quantifies the benefit of taking a measurement prior to adopting it. This metric lacks the characteristics of sub-modularity, i.e. the benefit of adding a measurement to a small set of measurement is higher than adding it to a bigger set. This causes the VoI optimization to not guarantee optimal results when the problem is solved by greedy optimization algorithms. In this work, the sub-modularity issue is considered with reference to the thickness gauge sensor positioning on a Steam Generator (SG) of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), and ways forward to overcome the sub-modularity issue are suggested.","PeriodicalId":430931,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety (ICSRS)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121117809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
