The simplicity of the classic time based charging is a thing of the past. A calculation model is needed that fills the requirements of present days, looks into the future and is able to be customized for services unknown at the present time. We made a description of optional charging methods possible. Our new model can be customized with parameters. It can be easily converted into efficient calculation forms because of its settled structure and it's applicable for both online and offline charging in order to help integrate them","PeriodicalId":430777,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR 2006","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121238913","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an example of the concept the Slovak speech database for VAD systems is introduced. It covers wide range of SNR ratios that can be automatically adjusted, according to both general and particular applications. It consists of specially selected isolated words with time labeled occurrences which keeps its size small while enabling its automatic handling. The evaluation of the database was performed by 2 VAD algorithms and compared to the SPEECON database (Spanish version). Observed outcomes fully justify its design and encourage its use for the development and evaluation of high performance VAD systems","PeriodicalId":430777,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR 2006","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129343190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the selection of a proper model for distribution of wavelet coefficients is very important in the wavelet based image denoising. This paper presents a new image denoising algorithm based on the modeling of wavelet coefficients in each subband with a mixture of Gaussian probability density functions (pdfs) that parameters of mixture model are local. The mixture model is able to capture the heavy-tailed nature of wavelet coefficients and the local parameters can model the empirically observed correlation between the coefficient amplitudes. Therefore, by using this relatively new-statistical model, we are able to better model statistical property of wavelet coefficients. Within this framework, we describe a novel method for image denoising based on designing a MAP estimator, which relies on the mixture distributions with high local correlation. The simulation results show that our proposed technique achieves better performance than several published methods both visually and in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR)","PeriodicalId":430777,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR 2006","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126561402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Holograms are constructed from tile images using composition of spherical waves. One hologram is created from ceramic tile with correct pattern and the other hologram is created from tile with small error in pattern. The two holograms are subtracted and resulting hologram is observed. Next step in the process is creating image from subtracted holograms. The results show that for small change in the tile pattern there is a great alteration in the hologram and reconstructed image. The experiment is repeated with different tile errors in patterns","PeriodicalId":430777,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR 2006","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132248602","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The algorithm is based on wavelet theory and morphological structure of the image. Quasi-superresolution means usage of a single image for analysis instead of several. Wavelet quasi-superresolution can be applied with less complexity than standard superresolution, because wavelet interpolation of interlaced data and statistics of different images are skipped. New criterion for comparison of original and processed image is proposed. The result is single scalar which is easy to compare","PeriodicalId":430777,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings ELMAR 2006","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131046240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
