The Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT) establishes the network of cognitive underwater devices. The paper primarily focuses on underwater applications based on the management system and we provide a comprehensive research of the Underwater-Network Management System (U-NMS) in the IoUT specification. In the paper, major contributions are given below.
