The proposed controller exploits the concept of indirect field orientation and guarantees asymptotic DC-link voltage regulations when DC-load is constant or slowly varying. A output-feedback linearizing technique is employed for the voltage controller design. Decomposition of the voltage and current-flux subsystems, based on the two-time scale separation, provides simple controllers tuning procedure. Due to feature of the machine flux level regulation any energy efficiency optimization technique are applicable for the proposed controller. Results of comparative simulation study with standard systems are presented. It is shown that in contrast to existing solutions designed controller provides system performances stabilization when speed and flux are varying. Proposed controller is suitable for standalone renewable and traditional generation systems.","PeriodicalId":428319,"journal":{"name":"2016 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Energy and Power Systems (IEPS)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130869773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Single-switch topologies suit well for low power applications due to low complexity and cost of realization. However, their performance is rather limited, since only one switch should handle all converter power. Input-parallel output-series (IPOS) cascading improves stress of semiconductor devices, reliability, input current ripple, efficiency and DC voltage gain in a wide range of the input voltage, while maintaining the duty cycle of the switches within a reasonable range. The proposed two different approaches for IPOS cascading are analyzed and compared with the reference single-switch topology. Theoretical results are supported with a simulation study using PSIM software including Thermal Module for semiconductor power losses analysis.","PeriodicalId":428319,"journal":{"name":"2016 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Energy and Power Systems (IEPS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123809780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
