Although the effect was demonstrated over 10 years ago, exercise medicine is still not recognised as a critical therapy in cancer management. Nevertheless, the evidence base is building, and an ongoing randomised controlled trial has been designed to assess whether a targeted and highly sophisticated exercise medicine intervention causes a survival advantage in men with metastatic castrate‐resistant prostate cancer.","PeriodicalId":42819,"journal":{"name":"Trends in Urology & Mens Health","volume":"72 6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84722572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is resulting in a workforce crisis as many clinicians elect to reduce their sessions, retire early or leave to work elsewhere. To rectify this we need to improve pay and conditions and to radically change working practices. One approach to the problem is to deploy more clinician‐leaders. Their collaborative leadership skills could bolster morale and enhance the quality and safety of care as well as accelerate the adoption of much needed innovative healthcare technology.","PeriodicalId":42819,"journal":{"name":"Trends in Urology & Mens Health","volume":"32 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87681626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
