In this paper, we utilize a tracking-by-detection framework to track many persons at the same time. We use HOG and LBP features to describe person's characteristics in a scene and train a strong classifier using Adaboost algorithm. In the tracking part, we use a particle filter to estimate the targets' position. Besides, we train an on-line SVM classifier to improve the accuracy of the tracking results by learning and updating the detector's results. The particles' velocity is also utilized to improve the accuracy of the data association, which relates the detector's output to the tracker's results. Our method is validated feasible on UBC-Hockey benchmark datasets.","PeriodicalId":427762,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121497101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accurate classification of alternative splicing is important for understanding the mechanism of gene regulation. Although the different algorithms are applied to classify AS, the accuracy of these algorithms are still unsatisfactory. In this paper, we propose a new classification algorithm to classify the cassette exons and constitutive exons with existed and new features based on the AdaBoost algorithm. Experimental results show that the accuracy is higher than current algorithms. The sensitivity is 81.92% and the specificity is 74.06%, namely that 81.92% of cassette exons and 74.06% of constitutive exons were correctly classified.","PeriodicalId":427762,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)","volume":"5 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116858203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the wafer alignment accuracy is directly affected by the calibration accuracy of the visual system. In this paper, a method of the small-field-of-view and binocular camera calibration is presented for improving the wafer alignment precision and efficiency. The method only requires each camera to observe a wafer with LED substrate at a few (at least three) different unknown orientations, then the five intrinsic parameters can be determined linearly by assuming that the center of the frame as image origin and the two image axes are very perpendicular to each other. The method consists of initializing camera parameters, refining nonlinear parameters by the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm and the calculating relative position between binocular cameras. In particular, the sub-pixel feature point extraction with more accuracy is obtained by using imaging processing technology. In the end, the simulation and experiment show that the proposed method is accurate.","PeriodicalId":427762,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114831704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among them, verifying the reliability of software systems becomes much more significant. However, as to software with complex structure and large scale, the verification process suffers from the state space explosion, thus leading to the resource exhaustion and low efficiency. In this paper, we propose a method of improving software model checking in both foreground and background of ANSI-C source program to verify the properties. In the foreground stage, we directly dispose of program itself by pruning the program with respect to the assertion property and compressing the circular paths to extract the program backbone. Subsequently, the program backbone is used to generate a simple CTL automaton model which will be applied afterwards. In the background stage, we redesign the CTL state automaton's data structure and improve the model checking algorithm to adapt the MapReduce framework in distributed system. The set of states which are satisfied with CTL property is output and checked for satisfiability based on the CTL automaton model. The example in each part illustrates the validity of the whole method, and the experiments show this method improves the efficiency of program verification substantially.","PeriodicalId":427762,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116184076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dictionary learned from normal images is efficient to represent defect-free images while it has low efficiency to represent defect images due to its capability of capturing key information. Unlike the conventional iterative solution with complicated calculation, the representation coefficients are obtained by multiplying the pseudo-inverse matrix of the learned dictionary and image patch. Moreover, the distribution of representation coefficients is very different between defect-free image and defect image. Therefore, the distribution difference of representation coefficients can be used as a discrimination criterion to detect the defective region. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can accurately detect defects.","PeriodicalId":427762,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114719187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike phoneme-based methods, acoustic signals were not collected herein which made the voice recognition method proposed more simplified and practical. Our focuses were on the recognition of phrases instead of isolated words to guarantee the subject a natural speaking way. For this purpose, EMG signals were segmented by detecting the start and end point of muscle activities and features representing overall information on the phrases spoken were extracted. Many features such as time domain features, frequency domain features, auto-regression coefficients, and Mel-cepstral frequency coefficients were evaluated and optimized to obtain a satisfactory feature set. Finally, linear discriminant analysis (LDA) was applied as classifier and an accuracy of 92.21% was achieved. With the proposed strategy, 19 Chinese phrases including 14 single joint motion commands and 5 control commands, namely 6 DOFs of shoulder joint, 2 DOFs of elbow joint, 6 DOFs of wrist joint, 2 on-off control commands and 3 speed control commands could be successfully recognized and it could thus provide people with a thorough training of proximal upper extremity in the early stage of rehabilitation.","PeriodicalId":427762,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123701566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
