Methodology: for the purposes of research and obtaining answers to the posed research question and hypotheses, we used the method of literature review in the selected field, panel data analysis, conducted interviews with experts in the field of delivery drones in the Republic of Slovenia, and conducted secondary research. Results: the results show an assessment of the possible implementation of drones based on the analysis of the obtained data and interviews. We determined a realistic assessment of the potential of delivery drones, in which we included several vital aspects necessary for implementation. Conclusion: it was found that the current technology is not yet fully adequate, and significant technological improvements are also needed. It is also necessary to plan integrated urban spatial solutions that will enable safe and efficient delivery in the supply chain. Namely, delivery with drones is currently ineffective due to flight safety, harmful sound emissions and the inability to fly in bad weather conditions. Based on a literature review and a survey among large logistics companies, it was found that there are still many barriers to implementation due to legal norms and regulations, which are currently very constructive. It is unlikely, however, that parcel delivery will take off in an urban environment soon, as there are still many unknowns. With proper planning and use of suburban consolidation centres, e-vans, e-cars and bicycles are currently economically viable for last mile delivery.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70670242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, previous research on the relationship between entrepreneurship and economic growth shows contradictory results depending on the research settings. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how early-stage entrepreneurship - including only enterprises that are less than three and a half years old - affects regional economic growth in the European Union. Methodology: The methodology includes three methods: bivariate correlation, fixed effects regression with region and time fixed effects and spatial fixed effects regression. The panel sample consists of 273 NUTS 2 regions between 2008 and 2017. Results: The results support the hypothesis of this research and show that early-stage entrepreneurship has a mild positive effect on the economic growth of European regions. However, the potential bidirectional nature of this relationship obliterates the ability to comment on the causality of this link. The percentage of people in the active population employed in human resources in science and technology and gross fixed capital formation have a significant and impactful effect on regional GDP. Conclusion: The conclusion can be drawn that the effect of early-stage entrepreneurship on regional economic growth is conditioned by the population density of the region. Although these results show that enterprises founded in densely populated areas such as cities and metropolitan areas tend to have a larger effect on the regional economy, the results are ambiguous.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70668370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology: The questionnaire was sent electronically to the official e-mail addresses of 49 processing companies in Brod-Posavina County according to the FINA register. The questionnaire was filled in by 102 respondents from 35 processing companies. The survey included employees of companies with more than 3 years of work experience in the considered company who are employed in management, commercial, financial or technical positions. The study uses descriptive statistical analysis and multivariate factor analysis. Results: The most exposed business processes were selected. Based on respondent’s perceptions, research results confirm the exposure of all mentioned business processes to the coronavirus pandemic. “Work organization” and “commercial and financial area” are recognized as the most exposed business process and business area significantly exposed to the risk of unsustainability in Brod-Posavina County processing companies, respectively. Conclusion: The research findings confirmed the hypotheses of the paper, which propose that the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic had an impact on all business processes in processing companies and there was a business area significantly exposed to the risk of unsustainability in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic. The identified business process and business area may serve as a basis for comparison in similar future cases.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70668942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is therefore important to distinctly outline the actual state of affairs. Methodology: Methodology is descriptive and comparative. The article starts by surveying traditional and recent political, institutional and economic arguments on policy convergence in areas undergoing economic integration. The article continues by contrasting the complex notion of economic sovereignty and the ongoing development of economic policy constrictions of EU (and eurozone) membership. Croatia is then compared to relevant economies in key economic policies in response to the crisis of 2008/09 in order to evaluate the maneuvering room left by the various policy constrictions. Results: Particular attention is devoted to the comparison of exchange rate policy, fiscal policy and monetary policy employed by member states in response to the crisis of 2008/09. While economic independence in terms of crisis management is clearly reduced by virtue of EU and eurozone membership, its effects should not be felt as a change of policy direction in the case of Croatia. Conclusion: We conclude that the policy restrictions imposed by EU membership and expected entry into the eurozone are in line with economic restraints and exhibited national policy preferences prior to EU accession.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70666804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It aims to examine the influence of tourists’ attitudes on satisfaction with the overall cultural experience and perceived ecological, social, and economic effects and their impact on satisfaction. Methodology: The survey was conducted in Croatia in 2020 on a sample of 205 domestic tourists. Based on previous research, two sets of marketing items were defined: items closely related to sustainability (CRS) and items not closely related to sustainability (NCRS). Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was applied to extract factors, followed by Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the factors’ impact on satisfaction and perceived cultural tourism effects. Results: The results of factor analysis generated two CRS factors (Sustainable destination policies, Propensity for sustainable behaviour) and two NCRS factors (Respect for cultural heritage, Servicescape). The two CRS factors and the factor Respect for cultural heritage have a statistically significant influence on overall satisfaction. Moreover, the results imply that Propensity for sustainable behaviour and Respect for cultural heritage positively contribute to overall satisfaction. Among all the observed factors, only Sustainable destination policy does not significantly influence any perceived cultural tourism effects. In contrast, the perceived socio-cultural and economic effects have a positive influence on tourist satisfaction. Conclusion: The research results underpin the influence of sustainable marketing factors on satisfaction with the overall cultural experience and perceived tourism effects and their impact on satisfaction. The findings provide new insights into marketing theory and guidelines for marketing managers regarding sustainability in cultural tourism.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70667456","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this paper is to identify the core terms, give a definition of the digital economy, identify the most influential journals, authors and documents that deal with the topic and provide an overview of the development of academic literature over the years. Methodology: 293 documents related to the term “digital economy” were retrieved from the Scopus database. By using citation, co-citation, bibliographic coupling analysis and co-occurrence of the keywords, this paper identifies a list of the most influential journals, authors and documents in the field of digital economy. The analysis was conducted by using the VOSviewer tool. An in-depth analysis of the documents was used to prepare an overview of the definitions of the digital economy. Results: The research proves inconsistency of the definition and context of the digital economy as well as a significant impact of a small number of authors and journals in the area under study. Keyword analysis shows that the term digital economy is related not to macroeconomic terms but to more specific industrial terms. Conclusion: Guidelines are provided for future scientific research to fill the gaps in the definition and scope of the digital economy.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70668147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result of the pandemic, all governments have imposed different measures that directly and indirectly impact consumer behavior. Recent studies have mostly recorded a dynamic increase in online shopping, stockpiling, and change in priorities from luxury to basic goods. This study will specifically look into the relation between Generation Z buying behavior change and their exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as its impact on their perception of the quality of life. Methodology: A sample of 442 Generation Z respondents from Croatia was analyzed using ANOVA to identify buying behavior changes concerning the level of their exposure to COVID-19. The analysis also included a potential correlation between buyer behavior change and their perception of the quality of life. Results: The statistical analysis has confirmed the increase of online shopping and stockpiling in the group of respondents who were exposed to self-isolation and those who have not been exposed to COVID-19, but there was no correlation with their perception of the quality of life change as a result of forced buying behavior change. Conclusion: Generation Z is identified as an e-generation, born and brought up in a digital environment. Although the pandemic has forced them to switch even more to online shopping, they do not perceive the exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic to impact their quality of life.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70668213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper systematizes the existing key knowledge of FRQ. Furthermore, it critically analyses the principles and direction of influence of various qualitative and quantitative as well as financial and non-financial characteristics of a company. Methodology: The empirical analyses involve joint testing of the machine learning technique (MLT) and the economic hypotheses. M5 algorithm is applied to identify the factors that influence the quality of voluntary reporting as well as the direction and intensity of their influence. Results: The results show that profitability, stock market listing duration (in years), and company size positively affect the level and extent of FRQ through voluntary disclosure of information in the annual financial reports of Croatian listed companies. In addition, differences in FRQ between different areas of economic activity and depending on the type of auditor were found. Conclusion: Croatian companies should adopt good reporting practices to meet the requirements of the global market and thus contribute to the improvement of the overall transparency system. The same is expected from the relevant regulatory authorities who should encourage full disclosure. The paper provides several scientific contributions: first, the spatial dimension of the research; second, the comprehensive literature review; and third, the MLT application in the research on FRQ. An important practical implication of these findings is that they will help financial statement users in the economic decision-making process.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70667121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology: The research conducted in the second half of 2020 included the student population, i.e. a sample of 114 respondents. The close-ended questions offered answers ranging from the level of knowledge related to general concepts to the factors related to purchasing decisions. Data were collected through an online survey. The collected data were analyzed by statistical software packages MedCalc Statistical Software version 19.1.7 and SPSS. Results: Respondents are familiar with the concepts of sustainable development, a socially responsible business and green consumers, which they define correctly. There are no major differences between male and female respondents. When choosing a product, respondents of both genders mention product quality as the most important factor. The second most important factor is the price, followed by the brand of the product and the environmental friendliness of the product. The brand of the product and environmental acceptability of the product are somewhat more important to male respondents than to female respondents. Corporate social responsibility of the company that produces a product is described as least important by respondents of both genders when choosing a product. Conclusion: It is evident that the student population changed their attitudes towards environmentally friendly products compared to year 2009, but the trend has not changed since 2015. It is a market segment that takes into account this factor when choosing a product.","PeriodicalId":42693,"journal":{"name":"Ekonomski Vjesnik","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70668039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
