Instead of a face to face environment or a combination of face to face and online learning, the higher education system has been required to reinvent themselves and refocus their approaches to enable learning to continue. In particular, students have missed out on vital face to face learning with both their teachers and their peers, leading to a major gap in the developmental processes of learning. This paper will examine the use of scaffolding in the discipline of law to assist students, in a fully online environment, to assist with overcoming this developmental gap. The scaffolding approach uses three arms: introduce to students/teachers support learning; students apply/teachers provide guidance and then students achieve proficiency/teachers facilitate self-sufficiency. I will report on the use of this approach in the teaching of taxation law to law students with examples used from legislative situations and judicial decision making. The outcome has been a marked increase in students improving their individual grades.","PeriodicalId":426882,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Education and Society","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124349513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is compounded by the trend of 72.1 percent of SPM students choosing not to continue their studies at the college and college level in 2022. As a result, the country's ability to provide expertise in science, technology, engineering and vocational training cannot be met and implemented according to market demand and the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the effect of self-efficacy and its relationship with STEM education in schools. The concept of this study incorporates the findings of previous studies focusing on self-efficacy and STEM education perspective. The conceptual framework of the study also discusses the self-efficacy model, which can enhance students' confidence in career development. This study can help participating researchers or agencies identify and assess self-efficacy factors as variables that can be used to strengthen and inform students' school engagement (STEM).","PeriodicalId":426882,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Education and Society","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114182253","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For example, a failure to master multiplication operation skills will lead to students’ difficulty to learn multiplication operations. This study aimed to identify learning strategies for helping year five students to master the concept of multiplication operation skills. The study emplyed systematic literature review approach that used on journal articles from Google Scholar and ERIC databases published between 2018 and 2022. The results of this study showed that digital gaming activities are the most dominant strategies employed by teachers for teaching multiplication concepts at primary schools. In line with the huge and freely available online aplication in internet, this strategies are becoming a choice for teachers to engage children in mathematics learning activities because the strategies could increase students’ motivation and understanding of multiplication of basic concepts.","PeriodicalId":426882,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Education and Society","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115168627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Numerous foreign language classes have been offered in Malaysian public universities to drive the initiative. Japanese language has emerged as the most popular foreign language among Malaysian learners due to supportive national policies, frequent interactions between both countries, and positive social perception. Intriguingly, most Malaysian learners have demonstrated basic level of Japanese language. According to our survey, only 1% demonstrated advanced level of writing proficiency, 2.9% demonstrate advanced level of reading proficiency, and 3.8% demonstrated medical and advanced level of speaking proficiency. However, it is unsure whether the lack of awareness or absence of effective learning strategies have contributed to the stalemate. In this study, the level of awareness and learning strategies have been performed on Malaysian academia. The results showed that Malaysian academia lack a consciousness on the available of Japanese language learning resources (2.7238±1.1468). Besides, it is found out digital learning strategy has emerged as the best learning option (p ≤ 0.05) compared to other conventional learning strategies. Based on the results, future studies should investigate the contemporary foreign language learning strategies in the digitalization age.","PeriodicalId":426882,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Education and Society","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114327080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the ecosystem theory and the expected value theory, this study studies whether teacher-student interaction and peer interaction can influence students' deep learning willingness through students' self-efficacy and emotional value expectation. The study examined the relationships between students' perceived teacher-student interaction, peer interaction, self-efficacy, emotional value expectations, and deep learning. A total of 265 students from a Chinese university who participated in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Program (IEEP) participated in this study. The research tools were developed mainly through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) to verify the research hypothesis. The research results show that the teacher-student interaction and peer interaction perceived by students have a significant predictive effect on students’ self-efficacy and emotional value expectations. Moreover, students' self-efficacy and emotional value expectation have a significant predictive effect on deep learning behavior, self-efficacy and emotional expected value for project success mediate between students' perceived teacher-student interaction and peer interaction and students' deep learning level. The result indicates that the influence of micro-ecosystem on people's intrinsic belief value will affect people's behavior, and it also shows that the creation of such activities has a significant impact on improving students' deep learning ability and innovation and creativity ability.","PeriodicalId":426882,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Education and Society","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115978485","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The responsibilities and obligations of the organization are aimed at reducing the possible problems of work stress and the total deterioration of employee performance by fostering motivation and enthusiasm among employees is very necessary. This study aims to explore work stress-related publishing patterns and rank the most used author keywords in the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases. The eminent software, ScientoPy and VOSviewer, are used to run and execute relevant publication data retrieved from Scopus and WoS. The results showed a positive trend in the growth of work stress literature in both databases since 2008. The top three research areas that dominate this topic are “psychology”, “public, environmental and occupational health”, and “business and economics”. Based on the country analysis, the United States has become an active publisher, followed by United Kingdom and Germany. Importantly, this study emphasised the scholarly communication practices prevalent in work stress research have impressively propagated. The trends will assist researchers in recognising the various fields in identifying the core areas, proactive institutions, and core source titles published in this knowledge for supplementary investigation. Besides, by examining the most popular keywords, the results of this study enable researchers to discover the possibility for future research that may be conducted, particularly concerning the annual growth rates, which have been trending in the last five years.","PeriodicalId":426882,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Education and Society","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130337608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
