This also has an additional advantage of decreasing the Common-Mode (CM) gain of the OTA. For the purpose of comparison, RFC, JRFC and ERFC OTAs are implemented using UMC90nm technology and studied through simulation. From the simulation, it is found that the DC gain of ERFC OTA is higher by 6dB, 1dB compared to that of RFC and IRFC OTAs respectively. The CM gain of ERFC OTA is lower by 31dB, 34dB compared to that of RFC and IRFC OTAs respectively for the same power and area. The Slew rate of ERFC OTA is higher by a factor of 1.14, 1.08 compared to RFC and IRFC OTAs.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132055635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, harmonic coders such as MELP may be a good alternative for VoIP due to their higher resilience to packet loss. In this paper we examine the problem of the packet loss in the VoIP application using MELP coders. The proposed packetization scheme based on Multiple Description Coding (MDC) applied to the MELP coder is presented. A packet will contain information on two MELP coders operating at 2.4 and 1.2 Kbps respectively. The packetization is achieved using 135 bits in 22.5 ms corresponding to a total rate of 6 kbps. The results show that under typical VOIP operating conditions, the method performs well and outperforms CELP coders operating without MDC at 8 kbps.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130233463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The matrix converter is considered to be superior due to the absent DC-link capacitor and therefore being fully integrable in silicon. Several publications deal with comparative views on power losses, efforts for realization or control strategies for both converter types. But the comparative study of the power grid's perturbation is a further viewpoint which has to be considered since both converters have to comply to electromagnetic compatibility standards. Therefore both converters are modeled with generic assumptions made on the switching functions and the modulation strategy to ensure a fair-handed basis of comparison. For both converters the spectrum influencing factors are identified and discussed.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126824903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ability to imitate the properties and behavior of such object is also important for designing of measurement procedures. Modeling is a useful tool in explaining the fundamental processes, which are frequently unavailable for direct and non-destructive quantifying, and supports validation of measurement scheme. Practical methodology of model creation for the complex system was reported in the paper for example of respiratory mechanics assessed during a short-term airflow interruption. The source code of the batch files replaced in software dedicated to the electrical circuit analysis (PSpice and MicroCap) is generated in this attempt using original Matlab function. Designed procedure enables creation of aggregated or more or less distributed electrical equivalents of respiratory systems, including profiling the values of local properties according to the non-homogeneous rules observed in pathological states. This functionality opens the new paths for designing of optimal interrupter experiment.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122169970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The noncoherent direct chaotic communication scheme called chaos on-off keying (COOK) has presented itself as a promising candidate. This paper proposes a modified version of the COOK scheme to improve its performance in noisy and fading environments. The proposed scheme is designed to increase the signal space of the decision variable by using the concept of differential correlation keeping implementation requirements simple. The results show that the proposed modified version of the COOK scheme achieves less bit-error probability in noisy and fading channels at moderate signal-to-noise ratio values and almost constant detection threshold as compared with the original version.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115979714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the SI quantities, classes of intensive and extensive quantities may be distinguished, pairs of them forming together parameters having the dimension of an energy. Another interesting classification is in terms of the degree with which they appear in the fundamental equations of Physics, characterizing active and passive systems. Such systems are frequently found in the structure of force transducers. As a representative category of electromechanical devices, force transducers are deeply analyzed, their classification is commented and a few significant examples based on strain gauges are presented.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"182 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122805483","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such plants have a wide range of application, especially in material sciences. Conventionally, one-dimensional approaches are used to define an input/output relation between heaters and sensors for each zone. Driven by the application of measuring diffusion coefficients in metallic and semiconductor melts, additional sensors can be placed near the sample. This necessitates more complex temperature models. Here, a state space representation created by a semi-discrete finite difference discretization of the temperature field is explained. It will be shown that an empirical identification process achieves good results for the approximation of the real plant.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131402936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method not only resolves the boundary conditions complexities in the 2-D optimal control problems, but also guarantees reduction of computation compared to the other methods. In order to solve the standard 2-D LQR Problem, It is shown that the 2-D system under a specified quadratic performance index can be cast as a new semi-one-dimensional (semi-1-D) system which is called “L-shaped model”. This model can be applied to other 2-D models as well. Using a theorem and two conclusions in 1-D optimal control theory, an algorithm is introduced to solve optimal control for 2-D systems. Finally, evaluation of the approach is illustrated through a numerical example. Result shows the effectiveness of the proposed procedure.","PeriodicalId":425823,"journal":{"name":"International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132724314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we will propose a concept for this Plug&Play field device integration based on the example scenario of the replacement of an RFID-read-write device. Starting with the formulation of fundamental requirements for Plug&Play field device integration, we are presenting a procedure for setting up field device profiles. Applying this procedure, device profiles for RFID devices are defined and implemented using the web service technology DPWS. The experimental evaluation is carried out in the testing facility of the technology initiative SmartFactoryKL.
