This paper proposes a new semantic similarity measure between two nodes concentrating on nouns as well as their hypernym/hyponym relationships based on the structure of Wordnet. In particular, the similarity of two given nouns depends not only on their positions but also on their relevancy connections in the hierarchy. We evaluate our measure and the other ones on dataset of Miller-Charles and then compute the correlation coefficients to the human judgments. The experimental results show that our method outperforms edge-counting methods.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132900285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It represents an easily configurable tool that enables one to retrieve a data from textual or weak-structured documents. The paper contains description of the framework architecture and its important components. Additionally, we propose a scraping language inspired by the XSL transformations designed to extract data from different kinds of documents. Although there are many different approaches focused on various aspects of data scraping, they are usually very specialized to a concrete domain or a data source. We compare these solutions and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. Our scraping language is designed to work with an ontology to map scraped data directly to classes and attributes.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131646142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When these agents exploit different matching services they can reach incompatible alignments, giving rise to conflicts hence the need to engage in a negotiation to achieve consensus. This consensus is sounder as more conflicts are correctly solved. In this paper, a Relaxation-based approach for Agent-based Ontology Matching Negotiation is explored and compared with the MbA/FDO argument-based approach. The limitations of the original Relaxation approach are addressed and modifications are proposed that increase the circumstances under which conflict resolution may occur, thus generating sounder alignments.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124835305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ObjectRank is known to be computationally expensive, because it requires iterative computations over a large graph. However, in many real applications, it is sufficient to compute the ObjectRank scores for only small fraction of objects. To address this problem, this paper proposes a novel method for estimating ObjectRank scores for specific objects by applying local computation over partial graphs, thereby allowing us to maintain low computational cost even for large graphs. Our basic idea is that, for a given target node, we induce a local graph by checking the edge weights and pruning the edges with considering their weights. We conduct experiments to compare our method with some comparative methods. The experimental results show that our method can reduce the computational cost while maintaining the accuracy.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125278374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence the objective of clustering algorithms which are part of the powerful text mining tools. In this paper, we propose a novel text document clustering based on a new hybrid feature selection method that we call HFSM. This technique extracts statistical and semantic relevant terms to pilot the clustering mechanism. The experiments conducted on Reuters corpus demonstrate the practical aspects of our algorithm and show that it generates more accurate clustering than the one obtained by other existing algorithms.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117347248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other hand, the involvement of the business agents in the ontology alignment composition process allows excluding irrelevant correspondences, leading to more adequate alignments as well as a more accurate and trustful evaluation of their performance.\u0000 In this paper we present the implementation of such approach as well as some preliminary results.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121356644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the development of mobile devices and wireless networks, MOOC is widely used in the field of mobile learning (ML) in recent years, especially in U.S and European countries, which brings the online learners more flexibility and convenience. Although the use of mobile MOOC platform is still in its infancy in China, there have been some success stories in schools. This paper we will describe a mobile MOOC platform named WeCast developed by the E-Learning Lab of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), which allows tens of thousands online learners to obtain educational resources on mobile devices.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129016190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nonetheless, current mechanisms for news dissemination do not properly assist users in spotting news articles that could be potentially interesting for the particular user. Commercial applications are developing solutions to address this problem; however, in academic environments, outdated and inefficient practices are still used. Given these reasons, this paper proposes SADINA (acronym in Spanish of Sistema Adaptativo para la Divulgación Institucional de Noticias Académicas, Adaptive System for Academic News Dissemination, in English). SADINA considers information on new stories (i.e., keywords, publication date), users (i.e., type of user) and context (i.e., access device) in order to provide each user with an ordered set of news items according to the user's individual interests.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128515910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As reliable services are essential to assure that these systems work correctly, formal and systematic testing should be performed. This paper reports the application of a model-based approach to test Web services in the context of real-world applications of a multinational computer technology corporation. The employed approach is called ESG4WSC, in which an event-driven model is provided to support modeling and test case generation, as well as an environment to support the concretization and test execution.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126228540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yet, only a minority of organizations is able to transfer to agile development effectively. This paper proposes a knowledge transfer framework supporting the transition to agile development with guidance on how to put knowledge transfer into action. In this framework, a knowledge transfer process consists of six components (i.e., problems, antecedents, knowledge, mechanisms, knowledge application, and outcomes) and flows through four distinct stages (i.e., Initiation, Implementation, Ramp-up, and Integration). In each stage, components interact with each other multi-directionally and play an important role depending on the stage's functionality. A set of knowledge transfer activities in each stage is also specified which aligns with agile ways, especially Scrum. The description of the application of the developed framework and lessons learned conclude the paper.","PeriodicalId":424918,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128214832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
