The highest morbidity and mortality among both men and women were found due to lung cancer. Segmentation of the lung nodule plays a vital role in the treatment of lung cancer. This paper aims to segment such lung nodules using the Computed Tomography (CT) images. U-Net is a modified Convolutional Neural Network made for segmentation of biomedical images. We use U-Net for segmenting lung nodules and along with this, we use various optimizers to find the best result. The dataset is collected from LIDC-IDRI and these CT images are further pre-processed to obtain nodule images and the masks. The pre-processed images are trained using U-Net architecture and the performance of the model is calculated. Using Adam optimizer, the accuracy of 0.9871, the Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) of about 0.8205 and the Intersection over Union (IOU) of about 0.7539 are obtained from the proposed computer-aided detection (CAD) system for its segmentation performance. The results of this experiment shows U-Net can be used in lung nodule segmentation.","PeriodicalId":422546,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132091916","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various countries have started implementing smart technologies in their street lights. To install a smart system the primary step is to reduce the energy consumption and running cost. Advance smart operating techniques are required for controlling, managing and communicating of street illuminance to mitigate power consumption. In urban cities, an effective solution for power consumption could be achieved by implementing smart PIR sensors with LED street lights. This integration of street lights will have an impact on energy conservation and running cost. In this paper, a PIR sensor lighting system is proposed in the campus area of Aligarh, where a primary aim was to reduce power consumption and minimize the running cost. The proposed smart methodology was implemented on 36 street lights with integrated smart PIR sensors and adaptive part-night lighting system with typical LEDs has been taken into consideration. The proposed method, traffic-aware smart PIR street lighting system in Aligarh shows the result of less power consumption by 96-97% against conventional lighting system for 6 months. Hence, these smart lighting systems are capable of governing power and cost consumption intelligently.","PeriodicalId":422546,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124498928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The threat now poses over the renewable sources of power which are not yet developed to the extent of completely working in a self-sufficient manner. In such a case, optimal power sharing and efficient energy consumption is called into practice. The smart meter here, serves the purpose of continuously monitoring energy consumption and informing the user when it exceeds a set limit. In this paper, an application is developed along with a hardware module coined ‘i-Socket’ which is used to track the energy consumed by each device in a house and thus estimates the monthly electricity bill. Now, in this system, the user can set a monthly desired bill and as the energy consumption approaches the set limit, the user is notified through the software application. Also, this system employs an algorithm which sets the monitoring rate of a connected device to the socket based on the type of device and thus, is itself an energy efficient device. The current sensor employed for this purpose is ACS712 sensor and the microcontroller used is Arduino UNO to control the hardware units. A Boost converter is used for the power supply to the sensing devices and controllers. The software application is developed for monitoring electricity bills. System takes input of present data of current, and predicts meter reading for the following months. It gives predictions of items to be used at a specific time frame based on its power consumption.","PeriodicalId":422546,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124525309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This makes it difficult for developers to navigate the solution space and find design points with the best performance trade-offs. In neural machine translation, large Transformer frameworks have produced state-of-the-art results and have become the industry standard. We will clarify the mathematical mechanisms behind the paper's efficient interpretation for neural machine translations and look for the best combination of known techniques to improve interpretation speed without compromising recognition accuracy in this paper. We perform an empirical study that compares various approaches and shows that using a hybrid of decoder self-attention replacement with simplified recurrent units, a deep encoder and shallow decoder architecture, and multiple head attention reseeding can achieve up to higher accuracy.
