The pertinence of the considered problem is stipulated by the fact that nowadays the research aspect is becoming an important part of the master's degree programs in the world's leading architectural schools, and mastering research skills requires the ability to properly present the results of the conducted research in a master's thesis. In the scientific literature there is a growing number of publications dedicated to the formation of professional research competence and skills of writing research texts in native and foreign languages among master's degree architect students. Unresolved problems include the preparation of programs, selection of content and conditions of implementation of such courses. The integrated objective of the paper is to propose a tested structural and content model of the course on the development of scientific speech of future architects. Research methods. The content of the lecture and practical course is based on the author's manuals and the author's monograph, on the material of modern Russian and foreign research on scientific functional style, the study of the language (vocabulary and terminology) of architecture. Texts from literary sources of interest to architects were used as examples. Research results. Successful accomplishment of course objectives is the result of the development and implementation of the structural and content model of teaching in the educational process, including the author's course program and the basic author's methodology, inextricably linked with modern philological studies of architectural and construction discourse, including the sublanguage of architecture and architectural terminology. With the discipline's focus on the formation of general language, universal and professional culture of future masters of architecture it is advisable to use a cross-genre methodological model of teaching with the reliance on the leading principles of construction and implementation of the course such as educational content selection, scientific approach, rationality, historicism, taking into account the motivation and needs of students, accessibility of didactic material, individual approach in teaching, educational teaching and interactivity described information could be interesting for teachers of the Russian language of architectural and construction universities. Conclusion. The described course helps architecture graduate students to broaden their general cultural and professional outlook, to get an idea of another kind of language – scientific language and its genres, scientific communication in Russian, and to master the skills of Russian scientific writing. The course gives students a new perspective on the texts they produce, helps them to understand their own identity as a linguistic person who is as much responsible for the creation of written texts as for the results of architectural and urban planning projects.","PeriodicalId":422100,"journal":{"name":"Perspectives of Science and Education","volume":"55 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141049134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the presence of procrastination causes contradictions in modern conditions of society, which places special demands on the independence, initiative, motivation and responsibility of the individual. Scientific research describes in sufficient detail the factors that cause procrastination. There is less research on the relationship between procrastination and such an aspect of personality as self-compassion. The purpose of our study is to examine the relationship between procrastination and self-compassion among university students. Materials and methods. The sample consisted of 157 students of the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, of which 77 boys and 80 girls aged 19 to 22 years. The assumption that procrastination depends on self-compassion and self-esteem was tested using the Self-Compassion Scale by K. Neff, adapted by K.A. Chistopolskaya et al., test «Degree of severity of procrastination» (SVP) by M.A. Kiseleva, N.E. Shustova, O.V. Karina and the test «Personal Self-Esteem» by O.I. Motkova. The obtained empirical results were verified using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test, Student's t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Results. It was revealed that 28% of students have a high level of self-compassion, 69% have an average level, 3% do not show self-compassion. The level of self-compassion among girls was significantly higher (79.3±10.0) than among boys (75.5±12.2). There is a negative relationship between indicators of self-compassion and indicators of procrastination: with a high level of self-compassion in a student, motivational insufficiency (r=- 0.24; p≤0.05), procrastination (r=-0.21; p≤0.05), anxiety (r=-0.31; p≤0.05). A positive relationship between self-compassion and self-esteem indicators was found. As a result of regression analysis, two components of self-compassion influencing procrastination were identified: self-isolation (B = -0.44) and excessive identification with negative emotions (B = -0.24). Conclusion. The results obtained show the need to develop self-compassion as a factor reducing personal procrastination.","PeriodicalId":422100,"journal":{"name":"Perspectives of Science and Education","volume":"42 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141040877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The process of professional development of the country is influenced by global processes: digitalization, progressive science and institutional education, the emergence of new interdisciplinary scientific fields, the development of new factors of social mobility, the emergence of new professions, etc. This influence can be taken into account in the discrepancy between the desired labor and educational career paths with the fact that university graduates use life guidelines based on the level of dissatisfaction with their acquired profession and career. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the distinctive features of the formation of career trajectories of university graduates who received education in the natural sciences and humanities. Materials and methods. To achieve this goal, an online questionnaire was conducted, in which 252 graduates of different years from 32 Russian universities of natural sciences and humanities took part. To process the data, sequential analysis of t-Student criteria (p = 0.05), factor analysis, and content analysis were used. Results. Special features of the formation of career trajectories have been identified: the assessment of the demand for knowledge and skills in the labor market among graduates of natural science faculties after a bachelor's degree is higher than among graduates of humanities (7.17 compared to 5.75); More often than not, graduates of natural science faculties (71.6 compared to 43.1) plan to work/continue to work in the specialty acquired as a bachelor’s degree; 67.9% of graduates of natural science faculties have a longer planning horizon (several years) (compared to 43.1). from 32.1%); 26% of “techies” continue their work dynasty (compared with 6%); %); significant values for graduates of humanities are “harmony of personal life and career” (4.49 on average 4.01), “social recognition” (3.42 on average 2.95) and “emotional health” (4.52 on average 4.11), while for “techies” the opportunity to realize their entrepreneurial abilities is more significant (3.2 on average 2.75). “Humanitarians” compared to “technical specialists” are potentially more ready for sabbatical (3.46 on average 2.78), downshifting (2.65 on average 2.18) and relocation (3.40 on average 2.73). Four types of career trajectories were identified among graduates of humanities faculties (using the rotation method – Varimax): balanced multipotential, stagnant uncertain, innovative and altruistic escapism. For graduates of natural sciences, such differentiation is not defined. Conclusion. The data obtained allow us to conclude that graduates of natural science faculties have more employment opportunities due to the compliance of university training with the requirements of employers. The need to study and use the capabilities of network technologies to improve general cultural and professional levels is becoming a condition for training highly qualified specialists. To effectively use computer devices and digital tools, computational thinking is required. The purpose of the study is to explore the possibilities of using a professionally oriented network course for the development of computational thinking of engineers. Research methods. Computational thinking is considered by the authors as a mental process consisting of the sequential execution of a set of actions: activation from human memory of a system of images of objects, and connections between them; formulation of the problem taking into account uncertainty factors; drawing up a solution algorithm and its effective implementation. 68 bachelors from the first year of the Russian State Agrarian University named after K. A. Timiryazev were involved in the study (Russian Federation). Training program 23.03.01 – “Technology of transport processes”, profile – “Digital transport and logistics systems of road transport”. The online training course “Computer Science and Networks in the Industry” was developed by E. V. Shchedrina, and presented on the Moodle platform. Registration certificate No. 24877 dated August 28, 2021. To diagnose and assess the maturity of computational thinking, the author’s testing materials are used. For statistical processing of data, the Pearson's chisquared test was used. Results. A characteristic of the network resource is the execution of all calculation tasks on a computer using application software. When working with course materials, engineers perform a sequence of actions characteristic of computational thinking: analyze the text of a professionally oriented task (formulates the task as a computational problem), decompose the problem; compose and implement an algorithm, perform its analysis and evaluation. Statistically significant differences were determined in the qualitative changes that occurred in the system of training specialists (χ2 = 6.842; p < 0.05).
