In this analysis, the central question revolves around the relation that could exist between these two theories and the correspondence of the additions from the author and the de-codification from the attached element in order to have a successful reception. Monroy","doi":"10.19053/01218530.n37.2020.9914","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.19053/01218530.n37.2020.9914","url":null,"abstract":"This paper interprets the image of women into the bourgeois mentality, based on a reading of Blanca Sol, a novel of the Peruvian writer Mercedes Cabello de Carbonera. This analysis is divided in three main parts: first, there is a comprehension of the way the narrator (an alter ego of the author) observers the bourgeois society and the implications of the social promotion and equality. At the second part, this paper describes how the author of Blanca Sol tries to expose the multiple vicious of this new bourgeois lifestyle, like hypocrisy, abjection and money desire, and how women can be part of the problem but also part of the solution. De otro lado, se explora la producción de la poesía como objeto estético dinámico y móvil en 5 metros de poemas de Carlos Oquendo de Amat. El anecdotario de las guerras civiles de mediados del siglo diecinueve acumula más de una versión acerca de episodios que reúnen similares características, entramado que nos permitió abordar la secuencia como un corpus de estudio. José María Paz en sus Memorias y Eduarda Mansilla en Pablo o la vida en las pampas, retoman la anécdota de Sarmiento pero alternan los personajes que la interpretan a la vez que habilitan lecturas contrapuestas. {"title":"Nuestros amigos los biógrafos Una genealogía de amores literarios","authors":"Julia Musitano","doi":"10.19053/01218530.n36.2020.10640","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.19053/01218530.n36.2020.10640","url":null,"abstract":"My aim, in this paper, is to think about an emergent tradition of literary biographies in Latin America: biographies written by contemporary writers (1985 - 2016) about other writers´ lives (the biographical production of seven novelists: Osvaldo Baigorria, Ricardo Strafacce, Fernando Vallejo, Carlos Maria Dominguez, Jorge Edwards, Santiago Roncagliolo y Rafael Gumucio). Specifically, this essay proposes to analyze the construction process of this tradition in regard to the emotional bonds that link certain writers with others and provide \u0000reasons to tell the life of others. The relationship between biographer and biographed shows a contiguity line founded in literary respect whose effects are contamination, transference and infection. Fontana","doi":"10.19053/01218530.n36.2020.10638","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.19053/01218530.n36.2020.10638","url":null,"abstract":"This article proposes a reading on Naci para ser breve, by Gabriela Massuh, as a text that is part of what Roland Barthes called \"biographical nebula\", in other words, a text that even without being a proper biography or an autobiography works with the writing of real lives. One of the hypothesis of this article is that the interview –the book is mainly a long interview that the author made to Maria Elena Walsh in 1981, while Walsh was recovering from cancer– is a possible way of recounting a person’s life. Furthermore, because of the way the book was made, this article entails that silence and death are part of this making process. Therefore, Naci para ser breve emphasizes its links very closely with the “deathbed scenes” and with the so-called \"last interviews\". Este acontecimiento que ha tenido un lugar destacado en la crónica policial y en la historia literaria uruguaya, fue narrado por biografías y ficciones durante más de un siglo. Esta historiaha sido contada con algunas variantes que han reiterado un nudo de conflictos en torno a algunos protagonistas: Delmira, su madre, su novio-marido-amante-asesino, y ManueUgarte como el enamorado imposible.
