Election polls are vital for political people because they are the ones that decipher the behaviour of the voter, but in the same way they are extremely important for the voters, being a guide that enlightens the voter to understand the data behind the reality. The main objectives pursued in this research start from the analysis of the framework that regulates electoral advertising and continue with the interpretation of the effects of publishing the results of electoral polls in the mass media. The role that the mass media plays in this whole process is that of an arbiter, but at the same time it is also a very important link and pawn in the dissemination of information to the population and, implicitly, the democratic way of promoting political formations and information political in nature.","PeriodicalId":42120,"journal":{"name":"SAECULUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139023191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Havana, the capital and the center of interest within this book, thus becomes an intricate labyrinth which expresses the complexity of human life in a given political and social context, but also illustrates the textual choice of a unique writer determined to ignore all previous patterns of literary representation and expression. The metaphor of “the lost city” goes through the text and influences all the characters’ choices and attitudes (including sometimes their self-imposed exile), expressing the quintessence of a way of life that would completely disappear after the Cuban Revolution.","PeriodicalId":42120,"journal":{"name":"SAECULUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139018243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A history of the Romanian Orthodox Church 1918-2023“ (Biserica de stat sau Biserica în stat? O istorie a Bisericii Ortodoxe Române 1918-2023) is analyzed. The book appeared in 2023, at the Humanitas Publishing House in Bucharest, signed by Professor Oliver Jens Schmitt from the University of Vienna. At the beginning of the text, after a review of the most important authors, who wrote both about the appearance of the book and about its launch, basic volume issues are addressed. It is an analysis of the preface as well as other aspects. Particular attention is paid to the fourth chapter which dealt with the relationship between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the communist dictatorship between 1944 and 1989.","PeriodicalId":42120,"journal":{"name":"SAECULUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139020704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effective institutional science communication requires a greater openness to the public, targeting communication efforts and the transfer of scientific information equally to the specialised and general public. Collaboration between researchers and the media has never been very comfortable, but the role of science journalism in disseminating information to the general public is undeniable. The poor scientific education of journalists and the lack of control over the results of interaction with journalists are some of the reasons why researchers avoid contact with the media, believing that the risk of misunderstanding, sensationalism, superficial, distorted, or biased interpretation is very high.","PeriodicalId":42120,"journal":{"name":"SAECULUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139022717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
