More than a dozen inventories allow us to know the arms and objets kept in Torres Bermejas since 1584. To find such a high number of inventories is something exceptional and they are made on the basis of a wide range of reasons: lawsuits, investitures of the new jailers or relationships of the goods existing in the Alhambra. We pretend to release those inventories and we will explain the combined circumstances concurred around them.","PeriodicalId":42057,"journal":{"name":"Gladius","volume":"34 1","pages":"125-134"},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2014-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70058288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ante la ubicacion de este tipo de elementos en un contexto urbano planteamos la hipotesis de que los broches de tipo hispano, de cronologia bajo imperial, sean parte de la indumentaria del ejercito regular romano. Por un lado, un analisis de la produccion formal de dichos broches y su comparacion con los de tipo no-hispanos y pseudo/hispanos de caracter militar (Aurrecoechea, 2001: pp. 107 y ss.) y, por otro, un estudio estadistico sobre la distribucion de ambos tipos, permiten demostrar el caracter castrense de los broches hispanos. It dominated an important crossroads across the Cantabrian Range that connected the North Sub-plateau and the central area of the Cantabrian Strip. The conquest of this oppidum became essential during the military campaigns of the Emperor Octavio Augusto against the Cantabrians and the Asturians , as the recent archaelogical excavations campaigns have shown. This piece of work reveals news related to the conquest of the site by the roman legions, as well as the remains of arms found during the excavations, especially the artillery projectiles used for the attack. The evidence of artillery projectiles of small-bore caliber could prove the use of this kind of machines in the Early Imperial Age.","PeriodicalId":42057,"journal":{"name":"Gladius","volume":"33 1","pages":"57-80"},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2013-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70058326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper clearly wants to undertake so. As to the motifs, groups of vertical lances sculped on the stone at one or several horizontal levels have been traced, perhaps linked with another group of stelae generally located in Lower Aragon (North Central Spain). Traditionally, such stelae have been related to the funerary warrior cult. However, according to their location, chronology and associated settlements, I think they might function as landmarks for the Iberian auxiliary troops moving to Southern Gaul between the end of Second and the early First centuries BC.","PeriodicalId":42057,"journal":{"name":"Gladius","volume":"33 1","pages":"39-56"},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2013-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70058305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
