Work-related stress arises from an individual's response to high workloads and job demands. This study aims to delve deeper into work-related stress among Penitentiary Class II A employees in Magelang City. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with three participants as informants using snowball sampling. The criteria for this research include prison officers of Penitentiary Class II A in Magelang, aged between 18 to 65 years old, and experienced in working at the institution. The findings of this study indicate that all three informants experience work-related stress in their work environments. Work stress varies and is driven by factors such as cognitive appraisal, experience, demands, interpersonal influence, and the stress condition viewed from individual experiences (work conditions, personality, emotions, gratitude, and hobbies).","PeriodicalId":419867,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Islamic Communication and Counseling","volume":" 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141670330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine the strategic management of online media as a digital communication channel through women's media based on Islamic principles. Along with the development of technology in Indonesia, online media is increasingly being used, leading to competition with one another, including in the women's segment. However, online media in the women and Islam segment still receives less attention, even though it has the same potential as other segments. For this reason, the study of strategic management in women's and Islamic online media has a role in creating an effective and efficient management system structure to achieve mass media goals. Theoretically, this study analyzes the pattern of implementing the Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) management functions in online media. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to women's and Islamic online media to determine the management strategy used. Furthermore, this study identifies the factors that influence managing online media through POAC and provides an overview of the management strategies implemented to increase public existence. The results of this study contribute to the development of mass media for online media management, readers, and regulators.","PeriodicalId":419867,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Islamic Communication and Counseling","volume":"113 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141666733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Intelligence is the ability to change a difficulty into an opportunity for success to achieve a goal. The adversity quotient can predict that students will be able to survive overcoming difficulties and obstacles so they do not give up easily on academic matters. Meanwhile, interpersonal relationships are seen as a process of getting to know someone, which involves personal contact, both physical and psychological, in forming a relationship. In the research methodology, qualitative research was used using interview techniques, observation, and library studies. The population of this study was class XI students and teachers. Then, purposive sampling was employed. While interviews were conducted using structured interviews with a series of structured questions, observations were carried out through direct observation of students and teachers. From the research conducted, the role of adversity quotient in interpersonal relationships between class XI students and teachers at MA Sa'id has been shown to be quite good. Teachers could adjust their approach to students by providing the right motivation, thereby fostering students' adversarial quotient.","PeriodicalId":419867,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Islamic Communication and Counseling","volume":" February","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141669654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Koran offers ethical and moral guidance and covers profound psychological aspects. Its influence is not only limited to religious aspects but also deepens humans' understanding of themselves and their environment. Neurodegenerative disorder refers to a process or condition where nerve cells in the central nervous system (i.e., brain and spinal cord) experience progressive damage or death. The damage leads to decreased cognitive function, behavioral changes, and motor disorders. The present study aims to provide an overview of the effect of listening to Al-Quran recitation as an intervention on neurodegenerative progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) subjects. The current research used a literature review approach by collecting credible sources in books, scientific articles, documents, and previous research. The findings of this study illustrate that systematic Al-Quran intervention resulted in positive psychological and physiological benefits, especially on the brain's nerves. Thus, frequent, and further medical assistance is imperative for patients with PSP.","PeriodicalId":419867,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Islamic Communication and Counseling","volume":"101 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141667427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to examine behavioral indicators that indicate trauma, which is one of the long-term effects of child sexual violence against children. The study used a literature study technique. There were three behavioral indications developed as long-term consequences of trauma endured by survivors of child sexual abuse. The first indicator was cognitive distortions characterized by self-blame, self-criticism, and a sense of worthlessness. Then, concerns regarding emotional regulation, which present persistent feelings of anxiety or sadness, can appear as the second implication. The last behavioral indication was difficulties regarding the ability to resist impulsive urges, evidently via the engagement in substance misuse and the development of deviant sexual conduct.","PeriodicalId":419867,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Islamic Communication and Counseling","volume":"5 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139383909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
