Methods: A total of 55 patients who were admitted to the ENT Departments Kumluca and Serik State Hospitals, Antalya between November 2019 and June 2020 with complaining of positional vertigo who were diagnosed as posterior canal BPPV with the Dix Hallpike (DH) test was included in this study. Results: Fifty-five cases with dizziness and vertigo complaints enrolled in our study. Thirty-four of the patients were male (%43.6), and 21 cases were female (%56.4). The ages of the patients were between 32 and 81with an average of 52.4±13.3 years. Statistically significant improvement was obtained at Vertigo Symptom Scale, Vertigo Dizziness Imbalance Symptom Scale, and Vertigo, Dizziness Imbalance health-related quality of life scale after the application of Epley maneuver Conclusion: In our study, Epley maneuver efficacy without any additional medical treatment was found to be very high in BPPV patients. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of stuttering on children and adolescents’ health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Methods: This is a cross-sectional type of case-control study. Thirty-six children and adolescents diagnosed with stuttering according to DSM-5 and 37 age- and gen-der-matched healthy children and adolescents were included in the study. The child and adolescent’s HRQoL in both groups was evaluated using the KIDSCREEN-52 self and proxy reports. Results: No significant difference was observed in the physical well-being, psychological well-being, moods and emotions, self-perception, autonomy, parental relationships and home life, financial resources, social support and peers, school environment, social acceptance-bul-lying dimensions in the KIDSCREEN-52 questionnaire between-group comparison of both report and proxy results. The parental score reports were found to be statistically significantly lower than the children with stuttering in social acceptance-bullying dimension. In con-trast, the children’s scores in the dimensions of physical well-being, self-perception, parental relationships and home life, social support and peers and school environment were found to be statistically significantly lower than their parents. Conclusion: According to the study results, it was observed that the HRQoL of children between the ages of 8-18 who stutter was not different from healthy children. Methods: Sixty-seven children aged between 2 and 12 years who had been diagnosed with adenoid hypertrophy and underwent TECCA from April 2013 to December 2016 as a single procedure (without myringotomy or any kind of tonsil surgery at the same time) were included. Preoperative risk assessment results and intraoperative and post-operative complications were evaluated. Results: Intraoperative and early post-operative bleeding was observed in four (5.97%) patients. There was no post-operative complication except for bleeding and no patients were found to have residual adenoid tissue during the six-month post-operative follow-up period. Conclusion: Endonasal endoscopic control during adenoidectomy helps to identify vascular structures that would normally be at risk of being injured with blind resection. Study Design:\u0000Retrospective Cohort Setting: Secondary Referral Center Methods: We\u0000collected data from 213 patients who were hospitalized into COVID-19\u0000isolation with positive PCR test results. We recorded various patient\u0000values, including blood test results. We also noted age, gender,\u0000additional diseases, duration of discharge, whether they live or die,\u0000whether they smoke, and their radiological staging. Results: In CT\u0000imaging with a staging of maximum 4 points and minimum 0 points, the\u0000mean value resulted in 1.95. The average radiological stage of the dead\u0000patients group was reported as 2.56. There was a correlation between the\u0000radiological predictor and the outcome status (p-value: 0.002). The\u0000number of smokers was 14 (6.5%). Of the 26 patients who died, 3 were\u0000smokers and 23 were non-smokers. Conclusion: 14 of the patients in the\u0000study were smokers (6.5%). One in four people in Turkey is a smoker,\u0000while in COVID-19 isolation service only a 6.5% rate of smoking was\u0000observed. That supports the theory that smoking hasn’t negative impact\u0000on COVID-19 development. The average radiological stage was reported as\u00002.56 in the dead patients’s group. There was a correlation between the\u0000radiological predictor and the outcome status (p-value: 0.002). It seems\u0000that an elevated radiological stage is a predictor of death. However, limited research has specifically focused on sleep domains and their parameters. In the present study we thus aimed to investigate the impact of adenoid hypertrophy and nocturnal enuresis on sleep, both when the two disorders coexist and when they do not coexist. Methods: We investigated 178 children (mean age: 7.24±1.02 years, range=6-9 years), 50 (28.1%) of whom had only adenoid hypertrophy, 39 (21.9%) of whom had only nocturnal enuresis, 35 (19.7%) of whom had coexistence of adenoid hypertrophy and nocturnal enuresis, and 54 (30.3%) of whom were healthy-control children. Psychiatric disorders were diagnosed by a semi-structured diagnosis interview and the diagnosis of adenoid hypertrophy was confirmed by flexible fiberoptic nasopharyngoscopy. Sleep habits and disturbances were assessed via the Children’s Sleep Habits Questionnaire and Modified Epworth Sleepiness Scale. Results: Our results showed that the comorbid condition was the most severe form in terms of both adenoid hypertrophy and enuresis. Regarding sleep difficulties, the \"Sleep-Disordered Breathing\", \"Night Wakings\", \"Sleep Onset Delay\" and \"Sleep Duration\" parameters were closely associated with adenoid hypertrophy and its severity, while \"Bedtime Resistance\", \"Parasomnias\" and \"Sleep Anxiety\" domains of sleep were strongly related to nocturnal enuresis. Methods: 58 patients were included who were treated with a diagnosis of OCC who applied to Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine Radiation Oncology Clinic between January 2009 and December 2018. Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to determine OS and DFS. Multivariate Cox regression analysis was also performed to detect independent prognostic factors. Results: All patients had a squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the oral cavity composed of 50 tongue SCC and 8 buccal SCC. Cut-off values in ROC analysis: 954 [Area=0.665 (0.511-0.800), p=0.06] for SII, 174 [Area=0.659 (0.608-0.795), p<.001] for PLR and 3.2 [Area=0.699 (0.556-0.841), p=0.016] for NLR. Prognostic factors affecting OS were SII, PLR, NLR and age. SII, NLR, PLR and grade were statistically significant prognostic factors for DFS. However, SII was an independent prognostic factor.
