Once people recognize the importance of blog as a means of personal and day-to-day communication, there have been various studies on motivation of blog user, their using patterns, the ways of information delivery and sharing, the activity of the specific group and the effects on satisfaction with blog and word-of-mouth. Previous studies on blog were usually to investigate the fragmentary relationship. However, we derived new factor of blog characteristics and examined how it can affect satisfaction and word of mouth intention. Accordingly, we researched domestic and foreign theses, journal papers, books, research reports and established hypothesis and finally derived the results through the verification of the hypothesis after performing empirical research to achieve the purpose of the study. The implications of this study drawn from major issues are as follows. First, previous studies on the use of blog were macroscopic approaches which were related to satisfaction and word-of-mouth intention but you could also see the details by using factor analysis and multiple regression analysis in this paper. Second, fame of blog shows the least effect on satisfaction so the influence of power bloggers has been reduced. Third, The increasing user's satisfaction with blog is the way to increase the word-of-mouth intention in that satisfaction and word-of-mouth intention typically occurs sequentially with time. Fourth, companies need to regard online word-of-mouth information which is created by consumers as a competitive factor of more differentiated internet site. It is asked to subdivide and customize the range and scope of word-of-mouth information to improve the interaction with customers. Fifth, operating blog focusing on contents and interaction is an effective ways of wordof-mouth marketing and it is also recommended to use power bloggers.","PeriodicalId":417068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Processing and Management","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128277513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The blind spot means the areas which cannot be accessed by search engines. Hence, there is no way users can get the information in blind spots. They are getting wider, which cause loss of valuable information for users’ queries. The problem of blind spots stems from the way of navigating the web for current leading search engines, Google or Yahoo; they crawl web pages periodically and automatically, store them into indexed databases, and retrieve search results via queries. However, the rapid growth of the web data brings a limit of indexing pages, which massproduces data areas that cannot be accessed by the search engines. Besides, they still retrieve useless results for depending on a few keywords, where users wander again for really necessary information. The truly required searching way is to provide valuable and accurate search results to users in a customized way and to deliver the information from the viewpoint of a user, not from the viewpoint of a search engine provider. Recently, fresh search engines are developed and issued with Silicon Valley as the center. Their objectives are the intelligent and specialized search results as well as easy user interfaces. In this manuscript, we introduce some representatives of the newly published search engines along with surveying and classifying systematically current existing web search engines.","PeriodicalId":417068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Processing and Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123562116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Malware authors employ various techniques to prevent the identification of unique characteristics of their programs, such as encryption and obfuscation. In this paper, we present n-gram based sequential features extracted from content of the files. N-grams are extracted from malicious program files; sequential n-gram patterns are determined; pattern statistics are calculated and reduced by the sequential floating forward selection method; and a classifier is used to determine the family of malware. Three classification models which are C4.5, multilayer perceptron, and support vector machine are studied. Experimental results on a standard malware test collection show that the proposed method performs well, with the classification accuracy of 96.64%.","PeriodicalId":417068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Processing and Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125802691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the importance of acceptance of young users towards information systems has been recognized in the marketing literature and information system studies, the conceptualization and empirical validation of the behavioral intention of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) literate users for Malaysia’s internet banking context has not been addressed. This paper describes a conceptual model for examining acceptance of internet banking system among potential young users, specifically future ICT professionals. A conceptual model was developed to examine the effects of computer self- efficacy (CSE) and extended technology acceptance model (TAM) on the behavioral intention (BI) of young users to use the internet banking systems. Using stratified random sampling procedure, data were obtained from 281 undergraduate ICT students in a Malaysia’s public university. The result revealed that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PE) and perceived credibility (PC) of extended TAM affect respondents’ intention to use the internet banking systems. PE was found to have stronger influence than PU and PC on BI. The findings unveiled that indirect relationships existed between CSE and BI through PU, PE and PC of TAM. These results validated that CSE and the three variables of TAM were well adopted in predicting individual responses, including young users, to information technology systems. Three implications of these findings were highlighted for future researches and managerial action.","PeriodicalId":417068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Processing and Management","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133449871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
