This is done in order to verify and compare the performance that can be expected in an actual space time code system. The sensitivity and robustness of space-time block codes to varying levels of error in the amplitude and phase of the estimates will be illustrated using a series of simulations. This new information could be used to help design and verify the performance of a channel estimation scheme based on the insertion of pilot sequences into the data stream of each transmit antenna. The imperfect channel estimates will be created by taking the actual fading coefficients introduced into the channel and applying some degree of error into either the magnitude or the phase of those coefficients before decoding. In this framework, sensor nodes communicate using 6LoWPAN, running on the Contiki operating system, which is designed for energy efficiency and configuration flexibility. Furthermore, an embedded router is implemented using a Raspberry Pi to bridge the information to a Bluetooth capable smartphone. Consequently, the smartphone can process, analyze, compress and send the data to the cloud using its data connection. One of the major application of this framework is home patient monitoring, with 24/7 data collection capability. Kobeissy","doi":"10.1109/EIT.2015.7293342","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/EIT.2015.7293342","url":null,"abstract":"The activation of cysteine proteases, calpain and caspase-3, which orchestrate the two major types of cell death, necrosis and apoptosis in various neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, drive cleavage of susceptible cellular proteins whose Breakdown Products (BDPs) can be utilized as biochemical markers; these markers can distinguish the molecular root causes among different types of neural cell death. There is an immense need to make such distinction between calpain and caspase-dependant dominated types of cell injury which is crucial in order to identify the injury mechanisms; thus, creating opportunities for neurotherapy development. Calpain protease is activated in various necrotic and apoptotic conditions generating calpain-specific cleaved fragments, while caspase-3 is predominantly activated in neuronal apoptosis generating caspase-3-specific cleaved fragments. Yet, despite the difference in cleavage specificity between calpain and caspase, some cellular proteins are dually susceptible to both proteases in some neurotoxic challenges such as hypoxia-hypoglycemia and excitotoxin treatment. During their activation, it is difficult to identify the resulting fragments despite the advanced experimental proteomics techniques in the field of degradomics. Current approaches rely on experimental techniques involving western blotting technique coupled with protein sequencing to identify the sequence specific and fragmentation site of the specific BDP(s). The main purpose of this work is to establish a new efficient and accurate methodological tool based on dynamic programming to predict those BDPs computationally with an algorithm of space complexity O(mn) and time complexity O(NN'mn), where the comprised parameters correspond to number of protein sequences, number of consensus sequences, length of each protein sequence, and length of each consensus sequence, respectively. The system incorporates two major operations, traffic sign detection and classification. The sign detection is based on color segmentation and incorporates hue detection, morphological filter and labeling. A nearest neighbor classifier is introduced for sign classification. The training features are extracted by SURF algorithm. Three feature extraction strategies are compared to find an optimal feature database for training. The proposed system benefits from the SURF algorithm, which achieves invariance to the rotated, skewed and occluded signs. In the proposed method, to locate the faults, Hilbert transform (HT) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) have been used. These methods have been applied to the modal components of synchronized voltage signals. Then, by extracting the arrival time of first wave head at all terminals and a comparison between these arrival times, the algorithm of fault section identification and fault location calculation are presented. The simulated signals corresponding to different fault conditions are obtained from PSCAD/EMTDC environment and using frequency-dependent transmission line. MATLAB software is used to analyze the voltage signals and to calculate the fault location. This paper highlights the important IEEE 802 based standards, such as ZigBee and Bluetooth 4.0+ protocols. Cost-effective and reliable systems can be implemented with the help of these protocols by considering proper software architectures. Tiny OS and FreeRTOS are open source operating-system software available for embedded applications. The OS can be integrated with drivers and software stack to achieve full functionality and offer software solutions for sensor networks applications. There are various development platforms that are available to develop low power sensor networks and nodes. While considering sensor platforms and their applications, the power consumption is one of the important factors to take into consideration. This paper concludes that the penetration rate of WeChat marketing among university students is generally high enough, WeChat has generally been accepted by students as a way for businesses to market their products, and that all the above-mentioned five factors play a positive role in the process of WeChat marketing.
