The control Group A was not induced with paraquat, while Groups B, D, E and F were induced with 20mg/kg of paraquat. Group C received 200mg/kg of the extract only. After the fourteenth day, groups E and F were withdrawn and treated with 80mg/kg and 100mg/kg of the extract, respectively, for another fourteen days; while Group D was withdrawn without treatment.The results showed that animals in all Groups (P<0.05) except B (-21.67 ± 22.55) and D (-12.21 ± 15.67) had decreased in body weight; severely degenerated hepatic tissue with severe aggregates of intra lobular inflammatory cells, sever intra hepatic haemorrhage and necrotic debris around the haemorrhagic area; These effects were ameliorated in Groups E and F which received the variable doses of the ethanolic leaf extracts of P.guineense. The ethanolic leaf extracts of P.guineense have ameliorative effects on the body weight, serum levels of ALT, AST, ALP, and histologic changes in liver and testes of paraquat-induced Wistar rats.","PeriodicalId":415591,"journal":{"name":"Japan Journal of Clinical & Medical Research","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128538686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fragile nature of brain and spinal cord parenchyma limits both diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Fortunately, the recently developed liquid based biopsy (LBB) technique provide highly convenient, fast and less-invasive method to collect and test the potential biomarkers. Biomarkers derived from liquid biopsies can promptly reflect changes on the gene expression profile of tumors. Biomarker derived from tumor cells contain abundant genetic information, which may provide a strong basis for the diagnosis and the individualized treatment of brain tumor patients. CSF can be used as a resource of biomarkers, the sensitivity and specificity of CSF biomarkers of patients with brain tumor is typically higher than those detected in peripheral blood and other sources. This chapter reviews the current different biomarkers in CSF and their significance in brain tumor diagnosis and monitoring.","PeriodicalId":415591,"journal":{"name":"Japan Journal of Clinical & Medical Research","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128512308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The focus is on the value and impacts of the policies, denoting their success and limitation areas. This is informed by the need to ensure equity for all in accessing healthcare services as a global healthcare provision sustainability goal. Methods: This review was based on a search of the existing secondary data that is publicly available. The analysis searched the Australian government website for its official healthcare policy publications and supporting peer reviews from the Google scholar, PubMed, Scopus, and Medline databases, respectively. The findings were analysed through the PRISMA model, and inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to ensure findings relevance and alignment with the review aim. Findings and Conclusion: The review analysis established that the Australian government has enacted healthcare policies targeting the aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community within Australia. Key areas of focus in enhancing healthcare quality for this target healthcare population were (i) improving healthcare access and (ii) enhancing healthcare affordability through cost reduction.","PeriodicalId":415591,"journal":{"name":"Japan Journal of Clinical & Medical Research","volume":"12 18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125640122","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has not been recognized as a component of the endogenous human microflora. Due to its ability to survive in liquid environments, it can survive for a long time in a hospital environment and cause opportunistic infections. Although rare, C. testosteroni has been reported as a cause of cellulitis, peritonitis, endocarditis, meningitis, endophthalmitis, tenosynovitis, pneumonia and bacteremia. Here, we present a case of a 4-year-old girl who was operated on for persistent cloaca with C. testosteroni isolated in her urine culture. Identification studies were performed by MALDI-TOF MS (bioMerieux, France) mass spectrophotometer method. Antibiotic susceptibility tests were performed with the automatic device VITEK-2 Compact (bioMérieux, France). Microorganism was found susceptible to ceftazidime and ciprofloxacin; intermediate susceptible to meropenem and piperacillin / tazobactam and resistant to gentamicin, amikacin, imipenem and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. With this case report, C. testosteroni was reported as the first cause of urinary tract infection in our country and the third in the world.","PeriodicalId":415591,"journal":{"name":"Japan Journal of Clinical & Medical Research","volume":"280 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127717788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
