Rajamani","doi":"10.5121/IJCSES.2013.4103","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5121/IJCSES.2013.4103","url":null,"abstract":"Ad hoc wireless networks are multi -hop networks that are dynamic, and are formedby a group of nodes which are mobile in nature,on a shared wireless links.Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a collection of autonomous nodes that communicate with each other by forming a multi hop radio network. The analysis and design of routing protocols is a significant issue in ad- hoc wireless networks. Since the previously proposed routing algorithmshave not considered the multi-hop flow with an end-to-end scenario, and had shown to perform well in providing blond sharing of bandwidths among the sing le-hop wireless flow. Compared to host- based routing, Hierarchical Multi-hop routing significantly reduces the routing table sizes and the amount of routing related signalling traffic, at the expense of reducing path efficiency and generating some management traffic. This paper focuses on QoS aware Hierarchical Multi -hop routing schemes for mobile ad hoc networks. The best path from a source to a destination is calculated using the QoS information available with either group heads or with each member. S eparate clusters are created using the cluster creation algorithm. Depending on the QoS information available with each gateway node, packets are routed . Because of the hierarchical architecture, the performance is unaffected by the increase in the number of mobile nodes, at the same time the Packet Loss is reduced. Recent advances in low-power highly-integrated electronics, advances in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), rapid growth in the type and quality of available sensors, and progress in communication have allowed WSNs to achieve an unprecedented growth in commercial, industrial and military applications. In order to better understand WSNs, we look at their network architectures. In this survey, we classify existing WSN architectures into specific groups based on WSN behaviour and data flow characteristics. Existing architectures are described and presented along with their advantages and disadvantages. There are multiple methods devised for facial feature extraction which helps in identifying face and facial expressions. This paper surveys some of the published work since 2003 till date. Various methods are analysed to identify the Facial expression. The Paper also discusses about the facial parameterization using Facial Action Coding System(FACS) action units and the methods which recognizes the action units parameters using facial expression data that are extracted. Various kinds of facial expressions are present in human face which can be identified based on their geometric features, appearance features and hybrid features . The two basic concepts of extracting features are based on facial deformation and facial motion. To achieve the aims of this research, the Global Position System (GPS) latitudes and longitudes of selected control stations with known cartesian planimetric coordinates were determined using the Handheld GPS receiver at different epoch (morning and evening). Linear Regression analysis was then conducted to establish the correlation between global and cartesian planimetric coordinates of the selected control stations and regression models generated to show the results. The correlation coefficient r, a t-test for non -zero slope, t-test on correlation coefficient, graphical residual analysis, test of normality, comparing model predictions to observed data, were used to evaluate and check the adequacy of the models. The obtained results indicated that the proposed linear regression models are suitable for predictions at 95% confidence interval and do not violate any of the statistical assumptions of a linear model. However, the proposed regression models for the evening observation gave better prediction accuracy than the morning.
