The screening of these needs in admission to the legal devices allows identifying those cases that require specific and immediate intervention. The present study explores the prevalence and comorbidity of mental health needs in 55 adolescents admitted to a closed detention center of the juvenile justice system through a translated version for MAYSI-2 for Argentina (Grisso, Barnum, Orpianessi & Arbach, 2018). Approximately 90% of the adolescents presented scores that indicated the probable presence of at least one type of mental health need. A similar proportion reports having experienced traumatic experiences along their lives. The most prevalent clinical conditions were somatization, thought disturbance, and depressive and anxious symptoms. The alcohol and drug abuse subscale recorded the highest proportion of adolescents with scores above the maximum cut-off point. Almost all of the cases had scores that indicated the presence of two or more comorbid conditions. MAYSI-2 could be a promissory tool in the implementation of screening strategies in resource-limited settings. It is a self-report measure made up of 10 items that allow the evaluation of two Emotional Regulation strategies: cognitive re-evaluation (6 items) and expressive suppression (4 items). To carry out the adaptation, a direct translation of the questionnaire from English to Spanish was performed, followed by an expert judgment procedure and a reagent discrimination analysis. Then, a factor structure of this version was analyzed with confirmatory factor analyses in a sample composed of 250 adults between 18 and 63 years (M = 32.28, SD = 11.74), residents from Buenos Aires City and Greater Buenos Aires. Finally, evidence of the reliability of the instrument was sought and normative values were established. Por ello, es necesario disponer de instrumentos psicológicos para detectar dichos trastornos. Una de las escalas más utilizada es el BDI (Beck Depression Inventory), y su primera versión es de uso gratuito. En este trabajo se estudió la estructura y la consistencia internas de la escala BDI (Beck, Rush, Shaw y Emery, 1979) en población universitaria de Michoacán (México). Se aplicó la escala BDI a 1190 universitarios con edades comprendidas entre 17 y 38 años (M = 18.78, DE = 1.72) y la mayoría fueron mujeres (n = 801, 67.3%). Se aplicó un análisis de Componentes Principales, cuyos resultados sugieren una estructura de dos factores, corroborado por un Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio (c2/gl = 1.85; NFI =.910; CFI =.956; RMSEA =.027). Se observó una elevada consistencia interna de la escala total (α = .898) y también resultó adecuada para los 2 factores (α = .866, α = .701). Los resultados indican que el BDI es adecuado para aplicarse a población universitaria en Michoacán. Asimismo, se ofrecen datos descriptivos en población universitaria de Michoacán (México). No se observó relación entre la puntuación total de la escala y la edad, pero sí que la media de las mujeres fue superior a la mostrada por los varones. The study is a report of an internship experience in Psychological Assessment and Psychodiagnosis developed by academics from the 7th period of the Psychology course, aiming to discuss the practice of the Psychological Assessment process, in the activity of the Public Policy psychology professional assistants. The internship took place between the months of August and December 2020 at a Reference Center for Social Assistance in a peripheral neighborhood in a city in the interior of the state of Maranhão, after authorization from the Ministry of Education - MEC, for the return of curricular internships. caused by COVID-19 contingencies. The experience of conducting the internship in psychological assessment in a public institution like CRAS is challenging for any student of psychology, since the institution does not provide the appropriate physical, structural and instrumental environment for the psychological assessment process, being successful in tracking users of the service that needed psychological interventions and were referred to health services. The sample included 147 young athletes from Olympic (n = 57) and Paralympic (n = 90) modalities, with an average age of 13.14 ± 1.37 years and practice time of 7.35 ± 4.83 years. The instruments used were: a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Life Skills Scale for Sport (P-LSSS). Data analysis was performed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, independent t and Pearson correlation (p <0.05). The most experienced practitioners obtained higher values in the dimensions of leadership and communication (p <0.05). When comparing the sexes, the boys obtained a greater perception of learning in the variables: goal setting, social skills and emotional skills (p <0.05). When comparing the modalities, Olympic sports athletes showed significant differences in teamwork, problem solving, emotional skills, leadership, time control and communication (p <0.05).
