These devices are usually resources limited such as battery powered, memory and processing capability etc. The migration of these objects to the internet make them susceptible to various attacks related to external or internal unauthorized devices, which affect physical links, radio hops and routing discovery, give rise to malfunction and resources exhausting. The security mechanisms widely used on the Internet are too heavy to be integrated on small constrained objects. Therefore, we need secure protocols or add a security features to the existing ones with a minimum overhead. Routing also is one of the factors that may impact the security. In this paper, we will focus our work on the State of the art of existing protocols and study their vulnerabilities. Potential solutions based on the blockchain technology are also discussed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"34 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126100599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The waste management process is very poor, especially when it comes to confirming the correct destination for the delivery of waste. In this work, we are proposing a chain-based approach to waste tracking to enable waste data reporting in a single system. The blockchain is a technology that has already proven itself in the financial sector. It securely records transactions in a large, time-stamped ledger using the proof of work algorithm (PoW), and allows us to write smart contracts on the ethereum network. The application of this technology to the waste sector will enable reliable, transparent and secure recording of all waste movements, thus enabling waste to be traced from source to treatment and disposal. Users will be able to import and export data through a user interface offering different levels of functionality and access. It will also identify and act on illegal wasteful crimes.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124704749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both entrepreneurships solve the problem of building a pool of recurrent blood donors. The research applies the Extended Case Method to reconstruct the theory of critical mass. The practical contribution is the identification of the general process followed by both cases. The narrative of the general process provides actionable advice for entrepreneurs willing to create and sustain a critical mass for social purposes, whereas the theoretical contribution is the identification of the roles played by two types of heterogeneity of endorsements.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125575709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ASR systems are becoming more and more important today. In speech recognition, the training method plays a very important role. When a good practice model is obtained for speech mode, it means that it increases the speed of recognition significantly. In this paper, we explore the possibility of using Genetic Algorithms (GAs) for optimizing the parameter learning of hidden Markov models (HMM) in automatic speech recognition systems. This approach has been tested on samples from different users with different environments (with/without adding noise) and achieves a high degree of accuracy during recognition.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130320093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the critical components in these NoC-based spiking architectures is the on-chip routing scheme, which allows data to be communicated between cores and also off-chip data to be transported to the cores. In this work, we present a low-latency tree-based multicast spike routing for scalable neuromorphic chips. The multicast routing, which connects parallel spiking neurons to many others residing on single or multiple neuromorphic chips, is based on a combination of tree-based multicast routing and the K-means clustering mechanism. This work is part of an ongoing project named Neuro-inspired Architecture in Hardware (NASH). The evaluation results show that the proposed algorithms demonstrate lower average latency and higher throughput when compared to the unicast based method.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132016378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This technique has shown its efficiency in finding bizarre clusters, dealing with noise, and integrating clustering solutions from multiple distributed sources. Consensus clustering methods based on voting mechanism are widely used in literature. The idea behind majority voting is that the judgement of a group is superior to those of individuals. However, Voting-based consensus methods suffer from the problem of assigning the appropriate cluster label to data objects without majority vote. To deal with this ambiguity as well as clustering when datasets are too large or when new information can arrive dynamically at any time, we have proposed a new clustering approach based on two stage clustering technique where in the first stage a clustering ensemble method based on relabeling and voting process is used to cluster the data objects. Therefore, a new set of disjoint sub-clusters is generated based on majority vote, where each data object vote for the cluster in which it belongs and for its corresponding cluster in each other clustering results. data objects without majority vote are collected in new dataset. In the second stage, the new database as well as the set of previously obtained sub-clusters are processed using an incremental clustering algorithm. The used incremental clustering algorithm is initialized using the obtained sub-clusters and operate on the new dataset elements. The main advantage of incremental clustering methods is that the system can updates its assumptions based on recently available learning data without re-examining old data. The proposed approach have been evaluated using different datasets, where the experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114918957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It consists of using elements borrowed from games like points, badges and leader-boards to motivate employees for using information systems and improve their performance and productivity. Gamification gave promising results when applied to different domains like education, health, crowd-sourcing and banking among others. To implement and deploy gamification systems, different architectures were proposed to structure these new systems. However, none of these architectures consider the quality of data exchanged between the different components of the architecture. In this context, we propose an architectural framework for gamification systems based on web-sockets technology to guarantee a real time communication to better follow the behavior of the user. The proposed solution was validated by implementing a prototype of the communications using web-sockets technique.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125611496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main difficulties are related to the availability of antiretrovirals (AVR) and mainly to the observance of the treatment. In the cross-borderland areas of the Gambia, Senegal and Guinea Bissau, these difficulties of the observance of the treatment are amplified by the vulnerability, the high mobility of the populations and the problems of communication between the actors of the monitoring of PLHIV who speak three different languages. That's what makes difficult the fight against AIDS in those areas and justify the phenomenon of the patients lost to follow-up, which is a great indicator for the following of the People Living with HIV-virus (PLHIV). This paper presents the decrease of the number of patients lost to follow-up in the monitoring of the PLHIV in the cross-borderland areas of the Gambia, Senegal and Guinea Bissau by a multilingual semantic web platform of reference, counter reference and auto reference.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126090696","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To prevent malicious nodes or unauthorized entity from joining the sensor network, access control is required. It restricts the network access only to eligible sensor nodes, while queries from outsiders will not be answered or forwarded by nodes. Since sensor nodes are highly constrained in terms of resources and can be deployed in hostile environment, they may be lost because of power exhaustion or malicious attacks. Therefore, new node deployment is necessary. Schemes based on elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) are proposed. Some of them are static and other dynamic because all the old secret keys and broadcasting information in existing nodes should not be updated once a new node is added. In this paper we proposed a new node access control scheme based on symmetric key cryptography, one-way hash chain and XOR operation, which are low expenses in calculation, storage and communication. The proposed solution provides a distributed authentication system, it is also resistance to node capture, query replay, denial of service (DoS) attacks and probably restricts the propagation of fake queries to a logarithmic part of the network.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124670911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of its important variants is the Two-Dimensional Bin Packing Problem (2BPP). It consists in packing a set of items into as few bins as possible. Each item is characterized by its width and height. Certain applications may require additional weight capacity constraint especially in the case of the post office parcels packing problem. Therefore, we propose to study the 2BPP with weight constraint (2BPP-WC) where the objective is to maximize the total weight of the load. Since, the 2BPP is one of the classical NP-Hard optimization problems, a large number of solving approaches have been proposed and they still a challenging problems due to their complexity. In this paper, we propose a Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization Local(PSO) Search approach (LS) for solving the 2BPP-WC. The proposed hybrid technique combines the strengths of PSO and the powerful exploitation of solution space of the LS. The effectiveness of our approach was demonstrated through experiments on benchmark instances. The HPSO-LS procedures are generated and implemented into platform. Results showed that our proposed approach is competitive in terms of the quality of the solutions found. In order to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach in term of solution quality, we apply it for a real case of Post Office parcels packing problem in the Regional Post Office of the city of Kef in the north west of Tunisia.","PeriodicalId":414028,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Information Systems and Technologies","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125568503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
