Contrary to some existing literature which suggests that population growth facilitates an increase in international trade, our findings indicate a negative correlation between population growth and trade dynamics. Specifically, population growth appears to depress exports by boosting local demand for goods and services, while simultaneously reducing imports because of weakened economic conditions and diminished purchasing power. This adverse effect is potentially exacerbated by demographic shifts towards a higher proportion of non-active population segments, which do not contribute to productivity and economic development. Our results underscore the complexity of the relationship between demographic changes and trade patterns, suggesting a focus on the qualitative aspects of population growth as a key factor

This study investigates the social and economic implications of the Yamuna Expressway in Indias Aligarh-Jewar region. Through the utilization of a combination of methods, the research examines the impact of this extensive infrastructure project on local job opportunities, trends in urban growth, and alterations in peoples means of living. The highway has greatly decreased commute times and has facilitated economic and social changes throughout the area. The results indicate that despite significant economic growth and infrastructure improvements, issues like environmental damage and social inequities also emerge. This study adds to the knowledge of how transport infrastructure affects regional development, providing important information for decision-makers and those involved in similar projects. It also examines the role of policy in managing these outcomes, emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and inclusive growth strategies. This paper contributes to understanding the dualistic impact of transport infrastructure on regional development, offering insights that are vital for policymakers and stakeholders engaged in similar infrastructure projects.\u0000KEYWORDS: Regional development, social dynamics, urbanization effects, socio-economic impact, environmental implications, government policies, road development, infrastructure development

Examining the potential impact of environmental innovations, this study de- constructs global climate risk into physical and transition risks. The study focuses on potential environmental innovations that could aid in temperature reduction and global warming mitigation in general as well as its associated risks. We find that eco- innovation shocks have a substantial impact on the global climate risk. The impact is highly persistent over time and may be adverse due to substantial research and development expenditures. Our evidence suggests that all available environmental innovations are fundamentally important for the mitigation of global climate risk and its associated risks. Therefore, eco-innovations can lead to reduced temperature variability, lower greenhouse gas emissions, lower welfare costs of premature deaths caused by high temperatures, and improved environmental policy stringency thanks to increased R&D intensity.\u0000KEYWORDS: Eco-innovation; Global warming; Physical risk; Transition risk; Global climate risk; Bayesian VAR

The disposal of industrial and domestic sewage directly into the river, encroachment upon its floodplains for urban development, and ineffective waste management practices pose significant threats to its well-being. This paper examines the deteriorating condition of the Gomti River and proposes strategies for revitalizing it into a healthy river ecosystem. Drawing parallels with the Bogota River restoration project, the study identifies key challenges and opportunities for enhancing the health of the Gomti River. It suggests a holistic approach to wastewater management, including the establishment of treatment plants and the implementation of integrated waste management strategies. Additionally, the paper evaluates the impact of riverfront development projects on the rivers ecological integrity and underscores the need for sustainable urban planning practices to mitigate further degradation. The regression results reveal that family income has significant negative impact on the working hour of the child labour. Family size is a non-economic factor which affect the working hour of child labour significantly. Children’s desire to work has a positive and significant influence on employment of working Children. Child labours are from poor and larger families who are forced to join labour force to supplement the family income. Panel data analysis was used in the study to look at the effects in 10 West African countries and 7 Southern African countries. The study employed dynamic panel data estimation techniques, particularly the panel quantile regression method and the generalised method of moment two-step (GMM) method estimation. These techniques were applied to ascertain the extent of the effects and guarantee a trustworthy inference. The results show that financial development has a positive effect on carbon emissions while foreign direct investment has a negative impact on carbon emissions. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis exists in Southern Africa. Given the evidence showing that increased domestic credit to private entities is associated with higher carbon emissions, the study recommends that both regions consider green policies.\u0000KEYWORDS: Foreign direct investment; carbon emissions; Financial development; dynamic panel data GMM estimations; panel quantile regression

This study based on countries in the CEMAC zone covering the period from 2005 to 2021 will use linear regression to determine how imports affect exports in Central Africa. From this empirical analysis, it emerges that imports have a positive and significant impact on exports for the countries of the CEMAC zone.
