Frequent and consistent media use has both benefits and risks. Benefits include opportunities for creative expression and social support. Risks include maladaptive technology use, including overuse and addiction. Defining characteristics of gaming addiction include spending increasing amounts of time preparing for, organizing, and gaming. Negative consequences of IGD can include poor grades, academic problems, problematic alcohol use, depression, and negative self-esteem. Social Media Addiction was defined as being overly concerned about SNSs, to be driven by a strong motivation to log on to or use SNSs, and to devote so much time and effort to SNSs that it impairs other social activities, studies or job, interpersonal relationships, and/or psychology health and well-being. SMA has been associated with sleep problems and emotional problems, such as distress and depression symptoms. Methods: Quantitative research approach used with cross-sectional research design conducted on adolescents. The Sample size was 300 and using non-probability purposive sampling technique. Results: This study revealed that internet gaming disorder among all the adolescents, 245 (81.7%) of adolescents have moderate and 33(11%) have a mild level and 21(7%) have a severe level of internet gaming disorder and only 1(0.3%) have an extreme level of internet gaming disorder. Social media addiction among adolescents. It showed that 281(93. 7%) have maximum addiction, and 19(6.3%) of non-addiction. Many children feel a sense of terror during an attack, like something bad is about to happen. These feelings can occur even when there is no real danger. Panic attacks in children and adolescents Panic attacks often begin during adolescence, although they may start during childhood. Attacks can lead to severe anxiety, as well as affecting other parts of a child & opposite mood or functioning. Objectives: To assess the prevalence of panic attack related to anxiety among the students of selected schools of district Mohali, (PUNJAB). To provide the information booklet regarding coping strategies to Selected Schools Students of district Mohali, (Punjab). To find out the prevalence of panic attack related to anxiety with their selected socio-demographic variables among the Students of Selected School of district Mohali, (Punjab). To analyse and disseminate the findings. Aim of the study: To study the prevalence of panic attack related to anxiety among the Students of 8-12 th class of Selected Schools of District Mohali, (Punjab). Materials and Methods: The study was carried out with 120 schools’ students at Rayat Bahra International School, Rayat Bahra +2 School wings Mohali, Punjab data was collected by using a Modified DSM4 diagnostic criteria for panic attacks. Qualitative approach and descriptive design were used to carry out the study. The area selected for the study was, Rayat Bahra International School, Rayat Bahra +2 School wings, Mohali. Purposive sampling technique was used to select 120 schools’ students to assess the prevlence of panic attack faced by schools students. Collected data was analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The prevlence of panic attack related to anxiety with their selected socio-demographic variables was done by using chi square test. The mean difference of panic attack with their selected socio demographic variables such as age, gender, monthly income, type of family, number of siblings, education of father, education of mother, residence, source of information. The panic attack statistically non-significant at p ≤0.05level. (Result shows in table no:4:3) Conclusion: The conclusions were drawn on the basis of findings of the study. Preference for male baby reflects underlying socioeconomic and cultural patterns and prevailing inequity between genders in many societies in India. In this light, the present was conducted to assess the factors associated with gender preference among primigravida women attending antenatal outpatient department in selected hospital of district Mohali, Punjab. A non-experimental exploratory research design was adopted for the study. This study was conducted in Dr. B.R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Science, phase 6, Mohali, Punjab. The sample of 100 primigravida mothers were drawn from Dr. B.R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Science, phase 6, Mohali, Punjab by using purposive sampling technique in the month of March 2024. The results revealed that majority of primigravida mothers 78 had son preference and their mean score with son preference was high (84.63±26.833). The conceptual framework adopted for the study was based on Modified Nola Pender’s Health Promotion Model 2006.200 adolescent high school students were selected by stratified random sampling from selected govt. co-ed high schools. The tools used for the study were semi structured questionnaire to assess the demographic profile and structured rating scale to identify attitude regarding effect of mass media on behavioral pattern of adolescents. The findings of the study revealed that maximum respondents had moderately positive attitude regarding effect of mass media on food habit (57% male and 48% female), aggression and violent behavior (71% male and 74% female), and sexual behavior (61% male and 77% female).The study also revealed that there was significant association between attitude of adolescents regarding sexual behavior and age, gender and place of living. The research approach selected for the study was quantitative research approach and descriptive survey design. The study was conducted in selected rural and urban areas at Puducherry. Total 100 samples were selected (50 – rural areas and 50 urban areas) by using convenience sampling technique. The findings of the study revealed people had medium amount of coping strategies (56%) and nearly half of the elderly people had little bit of coping strategies (44%). With respect to the rural area, majority of the elderly people had medium amount of coping strategies (64%) and nearly half of the elderly people had little bit of coping strategies (36%). And also in percentage domain scores of coping strategies revealed that both among the selected urban and rural areas were higher in the area of Humour244 and 240 (70% & 69.2%), other coping mechanisms were active coping 236 and 233 (66% and 65.7%) and denial226 and 242 (61% and 70.2%).
