This self-sensing technique is based on the idea that one PZT can have two electrical properties, namely whether it acts as a sensor or as an actuator. The actuation characteristics of the time-sharing self-sensing piezoelectric actuators were discussed. The shift between a sensor channel and an actuation channel results in a chopped control force. By applying the method of independent modal space control, a new procedure for the control force optimization of this type actuator is introduced. A numerical vibration suppression simulation demonstrated that the time-sharing self-sensing method works well on a beam structure. An experiment was carried out to test the practicability and the results proved the validity.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"73 1-2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114034309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper explores the information fusion of the GPS measurements and the Radar TOA measurements to improve the localization accuracy. However, the formulation based on the Maximum-Likelihood method is a non-convex optimization problem. We reformulate it as a homogeneous quadratic programming with homogeneous quadratic equality constraints, which is non-convex and NP-hard. Therefore we propose a semidefinite relaxation method which can efficiently solve this non-convex problem. The Monte Carlo simulations are carried out and the results demonstrate that the proposed SDR method can achieve the CRLB accuracy.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"15 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120834846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, an observer design approach for these systems is proposed. The approach considers a Wiener structure having a nonlinear perturbation term and an implicit nonlinear output map. The observers' gains are obtained by solving an LMI system which considers the one-side Lipschitz constant associated to the nonlinear perturbation and the convex hull associated to the output map derivative. A pH neutralization process illustrates the main features of the design process and the performance obtained with the proposed observer.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122687326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of characteristics of capacities of UAVs or capacities required by targets is described by the concept of generalization, and modeled utilizing the normalized entropy. The discrepancy in capacities between two UAVs is represented by capacity distance, and measured by extending relative entropy. The model of the distributed task allocation for heterogeneous UAVs is established based on the principles that: (1) the capacities between UAV own and required by the target should be matched; (2) all the three tasks on one target should be executed by one UAV as possible; (3) the latter phase task of a target is tend to be executed by the UAV with large capacity distance from the UAV which has performed the former phase task of that target; (4) the route that the UAV traveled should be short and the flight range constraint should be satisfied. And the distributed auction algorithm using limited communications is developed to solve the task allocation problem. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the reasonableness of the model and the effectiveness of the method.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116467428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike perturbation methods such as the method of multiple scales which must depend on a small parameter, HAM does not depend on any small physical parameters at all. Thus, it is valid for both weakly and strongly nonlinear problems. Besides, different from all other analytic techniques, the HAM provides us a simple way to adjust and control the convergence region of the series solution by means of an auxiliary parameter h . In this paper, periodic analytic approximations for free oscillations with odd nonlinearities of degree 5 polynomials are obtained by using the HAM for the first time, which agree well with numerical results. This article shows that the HAM is a powerful and effective technique for nonlinear dynamical systems.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127623894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the kinematic analysis of the parallel mechanism is completed and the dynamic model of the parallel mechanism is established by the Lagrange formulation. In order to improve the computation efficiency of the model and thus improve the rapid performance of model-based control system for the parallel mechanism, a simplification strategy for the dynamic modeling of the parallel mechanism is proposed based on its motion characteristics. The errors caused by the model simplification are analyzed. Afterwards, a simplified dynamic model with the intelligent error compensation is established. It is shown from the results of MATLAB simulations on the non-simplified dynamic model, the simplified dynamic model and the simplified dynamic model with the intelligent error compensation of the parallel mechanism that the simplified dynamic model with the neural network error compensation not only has the higher computation efficiency, but also keeps the higher model precision, compared with the non-simplified dynamic model of the parallel mechanism. Then, the sliding mode controllers based on the non-simplified dynamic model, the simplified dynamic model and the simplified dynamic model with the neural network error compensation are respectively designed in a task space. The stability of the controller based on the simplified dynamic model with the neural network error compensation is proved theoretically. Finally, the simulation and experimental results verify the correctness of the simplified dynamic model with the neural network error compensation and the feasibility and effectiveness of the sliding mode controller based on the model.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"14 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114310776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Power converter circuit and driver circuit are the interface between the switched reluctance motor (SRM) and control circuit, which plays a very important role in the EV SRD. As is known to all, the main problem of the SRD system is that it produces a large electromagnetic torque ripple and noise at the operation. Also, a high voltage spike may be generated on the switch and stator winding end when the power switch turns off. The practical results prove that a set of good power converter and drive circuit can shorten switching time, reduce switching wastage and it makes power semiconductor devices work in ideal state. As a result, the efficiency and the dependability of the SRD system can be raised and the above problems can be solved at a certain extent. Therefore, the power converter is improved from the design of the main circuit topology and circuit layout. Then the low cost drive circuit is designed and optimized. At last, the performance of the converter and driver are tested and analyzed through the experiment platform of a 7.5kW three-phase switched reluctance motor.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116750776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many scholars have conducted some research on the oil batch scheduling optimization of refined products pipeline. However, solving the model of a large refined products pipeline scheduling problem usually costs a long time. It also does not involve in automatic scheduling plan developing. In this paper, considering the batch tracking, flow rate constraints, hydraulic constraints and taking the minimum volume deviation between demand volume of each station and the actual unloading volume as the objective function, a mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model has been established for a large single-source refined products pipeline with multiple output stations. A heuristic algorithm is used to solve this model. The real-world pipeline from Mao Ming to Da Li, part of the Southwest China pipeline network, is taken as the study case. A long term scheduling model for this pipeline is established and solved in this paper. A complete detailed scheduling plan in the whole time horizon is given automatically. The average computing time of the model is 31.70s and the results are in accordance with the process and situation in field. The research achievement is significant and helpful to develop scheduling plan for a large single-source pipeline with multiple output stations.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124857167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through applying an alternating signal to the circuit under test and the output point as the sole test point, HHT processes output voltage signal, energy of intrinsic mode function (IMF) components and Hilbert marginal spectrum composed of fault feature vector. The fault components can be localized combined with BP neural network. This method can not only diagnose single fault, but also diagnose multiple faults. The simulation experimental results demonstrate that the average single fault diagnosis rate is 96% and the average multiple faults diagnosis rate is 91.3%, the actual experimental results demonstrate that the average fault diagnosis rate is 82%, verify the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":413310,"journal":{"name":"International Conferences on Computing Advancements","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127885727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
