Storytelling (contar historias)sempre foi um recurso fundamental nos grupos humanos: neles, as historias sao usadas parasocializar, comunicar, liderar, planejar, pensar, ensinar, motivar, enganar, entender, advertir etantos outros fins. Uma historia marcante, contada e repetida pelos dirigentes de umaorganizacao e, normalmente, mais motivadora para seus colaboradores do que manuais,normas e procedimentos escritos. No âmbito das organizacoes, os lideres geralmente se valemdas competencias em contar historias (metaforas, parabolas, casos, chavoes, piadas) paradivulgar suas politicas, seus planos e modos de agir. Com base na literatura disponivel, estetrabalho apresenta um panorama sobre o tema, a fim de colaborar com a disseminacao, para asorganizacoes brasileiras, sobre a utilizacao de storytelling. Our main proposition is toRevista Cientifica Hermes 3: 24-36, 2010learn that environmental regulations can show the gaps in the processes of environmentmanagement, suggest improvements, increase awareness on environment problems, reduceexpenses for companies as well as become an unnecessary cost to the company andconsequently jeopardize the competitiveness or impose barriers to clean technologiesinnovations for the productive process. This paper uses an exploratory study in micro andsmall businesses and the results display that it is not possible yet to confirm thatenvironmental laws can change the productive processes to reduce pollution and that thecompanies which introduced changes according to the regulations had some level of supportfrom universities or research institutions. portuguesEste artigo se insere no esforco, atualmente em curso, de compreender as forcas que regulama interacao entre empresas e meio ambiente, mais especificamente aquelas induzidas pelasregulamentacoes ambientais. A proposicao fundamental do artigo e que a regulamentacaoambiental pode tanto evidenciar lacunas nos processos de gestao ambiental, sugerir potenciaismelhorias, aumentar a sensibilizacao para os problemas ambientais, reduzir a incerteza dosinvestimentos ambientais e criar condicoes para a inovacao, como tambem, representar maisum custo para as empresas e, como tal, prejudicar a competitividade ou impor barreiras ainovacao, por meio da nao utilizacao de tecnologias limpas no processo produtivo. O presenteartigo apresenta os resultados de um estudo exploratorio realizado em micro e pequenasempresas. Os resultados obtidos mostram que ainda nao e possivel afirmar que asregulamentacoes ambientais sao vetores indutores de alteracoes do processo produtivovisando a reducao na geracao de residuos, efluentes liquidos e emissoes atmosfericas. It also discusses the so called impartiality by journalists or publishers, claiming that all media vehicles have their interests, therefore the reader should be aware of these interests in order to select the most trustworthy data. To reach its purposes an interview, books, news and articles were used. Our results showed that the media is not impartial when publishing their news; consequently an administrator must filter the information received. The consumer whoclaims social justice and environmental sustainability is making a conscientious consumption.One of the ways in which one person may have access to the corporation actions is throughthe green marketing. Thus, in this paper, we have aimed to verify if ecological appeals arepresent in some advertisements. We analyzed three magazines: EPOCA, from GloboRevista Cientifica Hermes 1: 10-18, 2009publishing house; Isto E, from Tres publishing house and Veja, from Abril publishing houseand we found 142 advertisements. Transport was the class which presented the greatestecological appeals, 58,82%, because of the Brazilian Institute of Environment and RenewableNatural Resources label, a legal obligation - Resolucao CONAMA No 18, de 6 de maio de1986.
