A further increase in the speed of information transfer is determined by more stringent requirements for the elements of communication devices. One of the most important components of such devices is various filters, which are often made on the basis of dielectric resonators. Calculation of the parameters of multi-section filters is impossible without further development of the theory of their design. The development of filter theory is based on electrodynamic modelling, which involves calculating the coupling coefficients of dielectric resonators in various transmission lines. \u0000Objective. The aim of the research is to calculate and study the coupling coefficients of rectangular dielectric resonators with a rectangular metal waveguide when their axes rotate. Investigation of new effects to improve the performance of filters and other devices based on them. \u0000Methods. Methods of technical electrodynamics are used to calculate and analyse the coupling coefficients. The end result is to obtain new analytical formulas for new structures with rectangular dielectric resonators, which make it possible to analyse and calculate their coupling coefficients. \u0000Results. New analytical expressions are found for the coupling coefficients of dielectric resonators with the rotation of their axes in a rectangular waveguide. \u0000Conclusions. The theory of designing filters based on new structures of dielectric resonators with rotation of their axes in metal waveguides has been expanded. To collect monitoring data from the nodes of the wireless sensor network in the absence of public telecommunications infrastructure, it is proposed to use telecommunications aerial platforms (TA), built on the basis of UAVs. Each telecommunication aerial platform acts as a mobile gateway, dynamically creates virtual clusters in the network, determines the data collection points in the clusters and their flight paths, forms a schedule and exchanges data with cluster nodes depending on their location coordinates relative to the TA flight path, battery power level and volume of monitoring data. \u0000Objective. The aim of the paper is to improve the efficiency of data collection from wireless sensor network nodes by telecommunication aerial platforms. \u0000Methods. Unlike existing data collection methods, the proposed method: uses the FOREL (FORmal ELement) cluster analysis method for clustering the network, new rules for selecting data collection points and rules for data transmission between TA and cluster nodes to achieve the specified target control functions: minimization of TA data collection time, maximization of network operation time, minimization of used TA. \u0000Results. The proposed monitoring data collecting method by TA from the nodes of the wireless sensor network allows increasing the efficiency of achieving a given target control function (reduce the time of data collection, increase the time of network operation, reduce the number of telecommunication aerial platforms used). \u0000Conclusions. For radar systems, the beam pattern of a uniform linear array (ULA) is synthesized to ensure signal selectivity by direction. A specific ULA sidelobe is cancelled by rescaling the beam weights. In particular, this is done by increasing the number of sensors and shortening the scanning step. However, a noticeable limitation is a loss of the transmitted power. Therefore, the problem is to optimally balance the number of sensors versus effective ULA sidelobe cancellation. \u0000Objective. In order to ensure multiple direction interference suppression, the goal is to find an optimal number of ULA radar sensors for the beam pattern synthesis. The criterion is to determine such a minimum of these sensors at which mainlobes towards useful signal directions are evened as much as possible. \u0000Methods. To achieve the said goal, the ULA sidelobe cancellation is simulated. The simulation is configured and carried out by using MATLAB® R2020b Phased Array System ToolboxTM functions based on an algorithm of the sidelobe cancellation. \u0000Results. By increasing the number of ULA sensors, the beam pattern lobes are not only thinned but also change in their power. In particular, the interference direction sidelobes become relatively stronger. The number of sensors is limited by the three influencing factors: the thinned-array curse transmitted power loss, the aperture size, and the sidelobes intensification. \u0000Conclusions. An optimal number of ULA radar sensors for the beam pattern synthesis can be found when the scanning step is equal to the least distance between adjacent interference directions. At the start, the number of sensors is set at the number of useful signal directions. The direction of development of modern electronic communication systems tends to increase the speed of information transmission. In turn, increasing the speed requires the use of additional resources of the communication channel and tools to maintain the specified reliability of the transmission under limited conditions. But resources are not free. That is why there is a need to establish a relationship between the conditions for reliable transmission in high-speed channels and the spectral and energy parameters of the information transmission system. \u0000Objective. The purpose of the paper is to analyse and describe the effect of block noise-tolerant coding on the rate of transmission of symbols in the communication channel while ensuring the required reliability of information transmission at a constant speed of the message source by increasing the frequency involved. \u0000Methods. The initial stage of the study is the presentation of system parameters in case of inaccurate transmission. Then a block redundant code is synthesized, which ensures the reliability of information transmission and the procedure of spreading the spectrum at a fixed speed of the message source is performed. \u0000Results. Recommendations on the method of selecting coding parameters in the procedure of spreading the spectrum and provided that the speed of the message source is constant are formed. \u0000Conclusions. The IoT technology covers devices and appliances, such as thermostats, home security systems and cameras, lighting fixtures as well as other household appliances that support one or more shared ecosystems, and can be controlled by devices associated with that ecosystem, for example with smartphones and smart speakers. However, there are a lot of problems to be solved. One of these problems is the power supply of wireless sensors on the Internet of Things. \u0000Objective. The purpose of the study is to reduce energy consumption of IoT devices in the process of transmitting the collected data by regulating the number of transmission transactions. \u0000Methods. The analysis of the existing energy saving methods in IoT devices shows that the problem of choosing the optimal buffer size has not yet been solved. An optimization problem has been formulated, which allows considering the requirements for the quality of transmission of both information flows and communication systems that provide this transfer. \u0000Results. The article presents the modified method of information transmission to improve the energy efficiency of the network. The need to allocate a queue buffer at each of the nodes and explain the operation of the node using the queue buffer has been highlighted. The scheme of the project with the use of the modified Sleep / Wake algorithm has been created. \u0000Conclusions. The main idea of the method is to allocate a buffer at each node with a certain threshold value, and if the latter is exceeded, the transmission of information packets will begin. The implementation of the new modern services on existing networks requires replacement or modernization of the old equipment. This negatively affects the efficiency of providing users with new types of services and their cost. Therefore, the issues/tasks of implementing SDN technology in the construction of networks are in the center of attention of representatives of science-research organizations and telecom operators. SDN networks have the advantages of flexible scaling of the system without replacing existing server and network equipment, eliminating operator dependence on specific vendor solutions, and rapid implementation of the new network technologies and services. To determine the numerical values of indicators of the functioning of SDN networks and check their compliance with the requirements, it is proposed to use in working process simulation modelling. For these goals, the Open Networking Foundation consortium developed the Mininet network emulator, the elements of that are published publicly. The formation of the simulation model and the procedure for determining the performance indicators of the SDN network that uses Mininet has a number of features that are considered in the work. \u0000Objective. The purpose of the article is to build a simulation model based on the Mininet network emulator and to determine the performance indicators of SDN networks of various structures/topologies. \u0000Methods. Creation of a SDN network segment for testing process of its functioning in the overload mode of various communication routes. \u0000Results. The Mininet network emulator allows simulating SDN networks of a rather complex structure, change the performance of network branches and the amount of load in communication routes, to create a network-wide overload mode. During the simulation, it is possible to determine a number of indicators of network performance, such as the RTT (Round Trip Time) parameter for each route of communication, the bandwidth of branches and routes of communication, the amount of delay on network elements, loading of OpenFlow Switch ports/interfaces, network elements with the highest delay, the number of served and lost packets. \u0000Conclusions. Use of the Mininet network emulator is a fairly convenient tool for determining the performance indicators of SDN networks. However, there are also some problems. First of all, setting up the system's operability requires writing programs to ensure the interaction among standard elements from the Mininet library. Secondone, is when congestion occurs in the communication routes, the Floodlight Controller does not automatically balance traffic along the work-around route. Wireless sensor networks using telecommunication airplatforms for monitoring data collection belong to the class of complex, multifunctional, dynamic systems. To increase the efficiency of functioning of this class of networks, it is necessary to develop methods that allow achieving various target functions of network management: increase the time of network functioning, reduce the time of data collection, minimize the resources consumed. An integral part of the wireless sensor network management system is the subsystem of control over data collection from nodes using telecommunication airplatforms. When managing the process of data collection there are scientific tasks: finding the minimum number of points (nodes) of data collection, building the shortest flight routes of these points, defining flight strategies, ensuring the quality of data exchange, increasing the time of network operation. At present, there are no effective methods and algorithms to solve these scientific problems. This article is dedicated to the synthesis of methods that solve these problems. Objective. The purpose of the paper is development and improvement of monitoring data collection methods from wireless sensor network nodes on the basis of motion and positioning control of telecommunication air platforms. Methods. The analysis of initial data was performed and the main stages for synthesis of monitoring data collection methods by telecommunication airplatforms in wireless sensory networks were considered. The following mathematical models are proposed: clustering of wireless sensors networks; estimation of network nodes power consumption; time of data collection; quality of monitoring data collection and transmission. The algorithms of search of position and movement of telecommunication airplatforms for achievement of the given control objectives at monitoring data collection are improved. The effectiveness of the proposed methods of monitoring data collection has been assessed. Results. The results of simulation modeling showed that using the proposed models and algorithms in the implementation of monitoring data collection methods from nodes using telecommunication airplatforms allows: reducing data collection time by 15-20%; increasing network operation time by 10-15%; reducing the required number of telecommunications airplatforms to 15%. Conclusions. For multiplying the capacity of a radio link by using multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver ends, wireless communication networks use the MIMO technique. The quality of MIMO wireless communication may worsen when either the transmitter or receiver end is in motion, or they both are in motion. To sustain high quality of links, MIMO operates, in particular, on channel state information by using orthogonal pilot sequences. Objective. The goal is to estimate the bit-error-rate performance of 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 MIMO systems with orthogonal pilot sequences for a range of Doppler shifts by the Rician fading distribution modeling the scenario of direct line-of-sight path. The estimation is believed to answer the question on MIMO efficiency by ascertaining whether increasing the number of antennas mitigates the Doppler effect in 2×2 to 4×4 MIMO systems with direct line-of-sight path. Methods. To achieve the goal, 2×2 to 4×4 MIMO systems with channel state estimation are simulated. The simulation is configured and carried out by using MATLAB® R2019a Communications System ToolboxTM functions. The 35 subcases of the frame length and number of pilot symbols per frame are considered. Results. The near-exponential-type decreasing of the bit-error-rate performance is almost not violated by no motion, whereas further speed increments destroy it for 2×2 MIMO systems. It is revealed that too long packet transmissions by short orthogonal pilot sequences (with respect to the packet length) are prone to errors. This especially concerns 2×2 MIMO systems, where channel state estimation by short orthogonal pilot sequences appears to be ineffective or weakly effective. Conclusions. In general, to maintain an appropriate MIMO link data rate, the packet length should be shortened as the motion speed increases. Increasing the number of antennas additionally mitigates Doppler effects. So, 4×4 MIMO system transmissions are indeed efficient. At present, the demand for broadband signals (BВS) is determined by the qualities inherent in these signals, which make it possible to ensure high noise immunity of broadband communication systems (BСS) when transmitting confidential information in an open radio channel, especially in emergency situations. Although the foundations of the BВS theory are well known, the development of wireless communication networks requires constant refinements of theoretical provisions in accordance with new data on methods for constructing Barker code sequences used in wireless communicationsystems with direct sequence spread spectrum technology.Objective. The aim of the paper is to study new composite Barker codes as synchronization signals and compare them with known composite codes using simulation.Methods. Analytical methods of calculation are used, as well as simulation modeling in the MatLab software package.Results. Simulation modeling was carried out, which confirmed the possibility of using new composite Barker codes as synchronization signals in the BCS.Conclusions. The amount of data generated, transmitted and accumulated in the world is constantly growing every year. On the other hand, users need new services and information exchange capabilities. 5G technology is able to meet the requirements of subscribers to some extent. Therefore, it is important to consider the main features of fifth generation mobile networks and to determine the requirements for the design of optical transport networks that will ensure the successful implementation of 5G technology. Objective . The aim of the paper is to determine the features of design and characteristics of optical transport networks to implement the capabilities of 5G technology. Methods. The analysis of the publications devoted to modern optical networks and their optical components allowed defining the basic requirements to design of optical transport networks and their characteristics. Results. It is established that optical transport networks should provide increased bandwidth; possibility of mass optical cross-connections in ROADM/OXC nodes that support addition/removal of any wavelength from/in any direction; intelligent operation and maintenance of the network. Conclusions.
