However, protocols those use distance metric are found to be suffered from higher delay in relay selection process. Hence, it is important to design a relay selection based cooperative MAC protocol that would ensure higher reliability and data rate as well as lower delay. In this paper we have designed an adaptive relay selection mechanism for wireless cooperative networks named as Distance-Aware Data Rate Adaptive Cooperative (D2RAC) MAC protocol. To ensure reliable data transmission, the proposed method emphasizes selection of the best/optimal relay node within two distance thresholds. Furthermore, using node's residual energy a balancing between energy consumption of the nodes is guaranteed. To ascertain selection of an optimal relay having high data rate, the data rates of IEEE 802.11b are assigned in a Relay Response (RR) frame. PZT-5A is one of the piezoelectric materials that also functions as a pyroelectric material. In the piezoelectric materials, electrical energy is generated by the coupling of mechanical and electrical energy when stress is applied onto it. However, for pyroelectrics, temperature changes are the mechanism used to generate energy in the energy harvester. Unlike devices that utilize the thermo-electric principle, pyroelectric works based on temporal temperature gradients that lead to power generation. This paper investigates the capability of an optimized vibration based piezoelectric energy harvester to harvest thermal energy using its pyroelectricity effect. It is among the main contributors to the sources of nutrition in Malaysia. The chicken barn condition must be ideal for good growth rate of the animal. Therefore, by monitoring and controlling the temperature, humidity and hazardous volatile compounds inside the barn will ensures good animal growth. The environments parameters inside the barn are monitored by using four electronic noses (enose) that located at pre-determine area. The instrument consists of gas, temperature and humidity sensors that measure the data in real time. The instrument's nodes are being link wirelessly to a base node using the internet for continuous monitoring. Data will be sent using ZigBee communication protocol to a microcontroller board (master node module). The acquired data from the nodes will be transmitted to a web page via General Radio Packet Service (GPRS). The same data will also be sent to farm owner mobile phone through short messaging system (SMS). The system will control the operation of the airconditioning system for maintaining the barn climate using fuzzy rules and PID control algorithm. The system will generate reports and patterns on the barn's temperature, humidity and hazardous volatile compounds through real time monitoring using web-based system. This will enable an early indicator of the unusual barn environment condition to ensure good animal growth. This paper presents an electrical detection method which is Rogowski coil (RC) has been chosen as a measuring sensor to detect and measure the PD signal. Series of investigations on sensitivity and bandwidth for four types of RC using electromagnetic transient program-alternative transient program (EMTP-ATP) software was demonstrated. A single-end measuring method is used to locate the PD signal on three-phase MV underground cross-link polyethylene (XLPE) cable with 240 mm2 nominal area of copper conductor cable. An experiment was conducted in order to verify the simulation results. The precise selection of RC sensor based on the simulation and experimental results was compared with the previous design of researchers in term of sensitivity and bandwidth. This paper focuses on the classification of bone marrow acute leukemia cells into three groups namely normal, acute promyelocytic leukemia subtype (M3) and other acute leukemia subtypes. The images are implemented with a series of digital image processing technique such as image enhancement, median filtering and feature extraction. Thirteen features are extracted on whole image, inclusive of color and geometrical based features of the cells. Multilayer Perceptron neural network trained using Levenberg Marquardt training algorithm is used for classification purpose. The classification performances are evaluated by comparing the accuracy rate between standard and hierarchical MLP network. Results show that the hierarchical networks have managed to outperform the accuracy of standard network with an average accuracy of 100% on training data and 97.55% on testing data. An autonomous robot can function and complete every task without any human guidance. Since it functions without human intervention, therefore obstacles detection and localization are significant and need to figure out. First, how the robot obstacle detection? Second, how to control auto-navigation robot localization accuracy and stability motion of the robot? Both of conditions would significantly affect performance and accuracy of robot to detect and reach destination. Therefore, we needed to figure out few solutions to solve these problems before create an auto-navigation system. Initially, testing and using suitable detection sensors and design suitable algorithm for sensor to detect obstacles. Then, Global Positioning System (GPS) would be used to calculate based upon information from GPS receiver to mapping the shortest path for robot to reach destination. Lastly, timing of the robot will generate by using 50MHz default frequency of DE0-Nano to control motors and direction of the wheels. In addition, using DE0-Nano board the design operating frequency can reach maximum 1GHz. Furthermore, the potential resources of Quartus II version 14.1 are utilized to implement supported modules of auto-navigation robot stages. The design had been carried out on Altera Cyclone IV FPGA. The autonavigation robots were provided higher flexibility and could help people do to something which will develop into life-threatening. Nowadays, embedded system technology is chosen because it offers brilliant solutions from many possibilities combined with its nature of economic and feasibility of advanced. This paper presents the way to minimize storage needed for WSN that deals with voice signal. We consider line of sight communication links between multiple emitters and receivers. We first establish an analytical expression of bit error rate and then validate its estimations with the simulated results. The finding results show a great matching between the theoretical estimations and simulation results. To accomplish the perfection system capacity, their cardinality, bit error rates (BER) and noise interferences are analyzed. With 2-D MDW with APD able to recovered the cardinality at least 61%, which able to reduce the BER of 10-9 Obviously, the proposed system maximally suppressed PIIN and shot noise which is a major factor affecting BER at high effective received power (Psr). In recent years, image processing techniques had been explored to enhance the diagnosis of acute leukemia. However, microscopic image captured from the light microscope usually has poor quality due to the capability of the camera and improper operation by human operator. High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging technique has been explored to solve the problem by increasing the dynamic range of the images captured. This paper presents a HDR rendering technique by using contrast stretching technique to enhance the morphological features of blast cells. The technique called Partial contrast stretching had been used to render HDR image.
