Creating a favorable investment climate for entrepreneurs will contribute to the stable functioning and development of the region’s economy. The authors propose a methodology for assessing the innovation and investment potential of municipalities in a particular region. The methodology is based on the analysis of statistical indicators in five groups: production and finance, labor, infrastructure, investment and social sphere. The main stages of the methodology are: to identify indicators that characterize the innovation and investment potential; determine the indicator’s value for each municipality; to assess a complex indicator of the territory’s potential and compare the complex indicator with a data base, which uses the average indicators of the region. The paper considers the structure of the complex indicator proposed for assessing the innovative and investment potential of the territories. A comparison of territories according to a comprehensive indicator of the innovative and investment potential made it possible to identify the most vulnerable areas where measures must be taken to ensure an innovative and investment development in order to develop the economy of the region.","PeriodicalId":410044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of EU Research in Business","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114776422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Special attention should be paid to the threats resulting from reductionist and superficial understanding of polyculturalism currently called multiculturalism built on the foundation of globalism and the policy developed within its framework. The analysis of the problem undertaken in the field of philosophical cognition may be used not only for cognitive purposes, but also to enable the assessment and determine the scale of this phenomenon in the context of the good of man, society, nation and state. It should also contribute to the affirmation of the natural communities of human life and the human culture created within it. It has a significant meaning for proper nature of political activity of Western civilization, which due to the cognitive errors, may direct the state policy on the wrong paths and lead it to destruction. The author used analytical and synthetic research method as well as inference in the article to achieve the above assumptions.","PeriodicalId":410044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of EU Research in Business","volume":"52 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132285923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The stakeholder theory posits that stakeholder pressure is one of the most vital powers which determines CSR implementation and can provide organizations with the motivation to adopt corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. The embedding of CSR within a specific sociocultural context suggests the importance of cultural setting for CSR studies. Therefore, this study aims to determine how stakeholder pressure and culture influence CSR-practices in Poland. To accomplish the goal of the study a sample composed of 216 cases was examined using a structural equation modeling method. The findings suggest that stakeholder pressure is the most substantial influence power on CSR-practices within the construction industry in Poland.","PeriodicalId":410044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of EU Research in Business","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129613170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, we used a questionnaire as a research instrument, with the help of which we collected the primary data, which were processed with the SPSS programme. The results highlighted the most commonly applied practices in the tourist units investigated for reducing energy consumption. Consequently, we identified the mesures taken by hotel managers regarding the reduction of energy consumption through improving the energetic efficiency, using alternative sources of energy, and also by paying more attention to the lighting. The results of the research confirmed the alternative hypothesis, according to which adopting good practices leads to cost savings.","PeriodicalId":410044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of EU Research in Business","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131224248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 2005, with the appearance of the first specialized audiobook, publishers in Portugal, the audiobooks began to be produced in order to be commercialized. The audiobook market in Portugal is small, having only 2 companies: Boca palavras que alimentam e a Companhia Nacional de Música . The Portuguese companies have very low sales volumes; which do not exceed a hundred thousand euros. The paper presents the business and production models of audiobooks in USA and proposes their adaptation to Portugal. In order to obtain the degree of acceptance of this format among the Portuguese society, two recordings of a book by a renowned Portuguese writer were made. The two records were made according to a set of technical requirements in order to ensure the quality of the audiobook. The two recordings were evaluated through a questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire are presented and analysed. From the analysis of the questionnaire, it seems that the Portuguese market of audiobooks has yet to be explored. It also seems that it worth the effort because Portuguese community is very open to new technologies and easily uses the internet market. Anyhow, it seems that some marketing campaigns are needed in order to change the actual preference of the printed book face to the virtual version.","PeriodicalId":410044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of EU Research in Business","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126660822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Second best is FTA and the worst case scenario is WTO. Norway Model and Swiss Model come in between FTA and WTO.Practical implications-from author’s knowledge, this is the first time when Brexit negotiations are being analyzed using the game theory.Originality/Value-the paper tries to find an answer for which is the best scenario for maximizing the benefits and minimizing the costs in Brexit situation for UK and EU too.Limitations-the limitation of the model is that it considers UK and EU as united entities. Another limitation is that the study puts the accent on the economic and the security reasons of UK and EU, ignoring other types of reasons. There is another possible scenario; UK to rejoin EU, but the possibility is low.","PeriodicalId":410044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of EU Research in Business","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116816607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
