African farming is characterised by smallholder farmers who sell to market actors’ agents and brokers. In fact, this paper tries to represent the scenario of planning in micro-regional level. Findings from the paper reveal that, some regions of Bangladesh are still underdeveloped because of the fact that they continuously receive marginal share of public expenditure and national budget of the country. Gini Index for the total budget shows an incompatible level of income inequality to the people across various regions in Bangladesh. Northern and West regions of the country are mostly deprived of proper development planning and allocation of efficient budget. Overall, this article deeply provides a briefing for field people involved in regional planning processes in the rural areas. Bangladesh is yet to decentralize empirical power to the local government authority to ensure proper budget allocation and distribution. Allocation in ADP for health, education and agriculture sector should be enhanced urgently. Generating regional data will be much effective to fabricate more dynamic development planning and to understand the current situations of the lack-lusture regions of the country. The present study aimed to compare the rice export performance of Vietnam and China and assesses to what extent it reflects their international competitiveness in the selected target markets over 2000-2014 period. The Constant Market Share model was applied to identify the main decompositions affecting the changes of its export growth. The results of decomposition analysis underlined that the structural effect and growth effect have been more significant in affecting the export growth of these two parties; and their export orientation to target markets was remaining stable during the studied periods. In which, China rice exports have been suffered a highly intense competitiveness from Vietnam exports in Philippine, Singapore, Africa and Middle East market. Further, the competitiveness index indicated that China export growth (to the target markets) was stronger than that of Vietnam in the first sub-period (2000-2008), but the case had changed in the second sub-period (2008-2014). Specifically, China rice export volume to Vietnam was stronger than that of Vietnam to China.","PeriodicalId":409629,"journal":{"name":"E3 Journal of Business Management and Economics","volume":"528 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132120826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study is to evaluate entrepreneurship for poverty reduction and sustainable development in Nigeria. This study uses representative sample survey of private enterprises in North-Central Nigeria to investigate the opportunities, constraints and overall impact of entrepreneurship on poverty reduction and sustainable development. SMEs in hair dressing and beauty salon, foods, bottle water, farm fresh products, wholesale and retail trade were investigated. The survey also exposes the factors responsible for failures in policies and programs intended to benefit the poor and generally reduce poverty. This research finds that small scale entrepreneurs in Nigeria face many constraints and it underscored the need for fiscal priority to be placed on skills acquisition, rural development, agriculture, animal husbandry, community participation, forestry, community health, irrigation, rural education, infrastructure, land development and small scale business empowerment in rural areas. Nigerian graduates deserve employability, career development training and skills acquisition. Nigeria needs to take advantage of her primary product endowment to manufacture, invent and invest heavily in infrastructure and industrial development. We conclude that Nigeria has a large economy and it is wealth-endowed for entrepreneurship.","PeriodicalId":409629,"journal":{"name":"E3 Journal of Business Management and Economics","volume":"209 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124696425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study measured inequality of education by calculating an Education Gini Index, then estimate volatility using GARCH model. In order to achieve the main objective of this study, two different econometric techniques have been used- Generalized Method of Moments and the Pooled Mean Group- ARDL estimator. Then we compared the results of the two techniques. The empirical analysis shows that education inequality affects growth negatively. While the volatility has a positive impact on growth, its interaction with education inequality has a negative impact. These results suggest that when policymakers decide to increase investment in education, even during economic downturns, they should take into account the equal distribution of educational services.","PeriodicalId":409629,"journal":{"name":"E3 Journal of Business Management and Economics","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121807592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To do this, we formalize an original model of cumulative growth with four simultaneous equations. As a result, we note three interesting findings. Firstly, ICT investment had an important role in increasing the revenue inequality between the MENA region and OCDE. Secondly, the cumulative and mutual causality relationship between ICT investment and growth rate is apparent. Thirdly, the interaction between human capital and ICT investment can be considered as an important canal which allows the inequality reduction for the MENA countries.","PeriodicalId":409629,"journal":{"name":"E3 Journal of Business Management and Economics","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114997773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
