More MCDM methods are being created and existing methods are combined to give better solutions. This paper performs a review of selected works that are related to the use of MCDM in web application security, examining the methods used, applications and results. Twenty one works were reviewed, with ten papers critically analysed, all published between 2014 and 2023. They were analysed based on MCDM techniques used and security evaluation methods. Results from this review shows that combined MCDM methods were more effective in addition to AHP, TOPSIS and fuzzy-techniques being prevalent. The review carried out in this paper provides a clear insight on various potential applications of MCDM in web application security. However, during this shift comes the crucial need for robust security measures. This paper explores the major security challenges organizations face during cloud migration and proposes an effective strategy to mitigate these risks. By building upon existing research, the paper identifies key security challenges and focuses on a proactive approach to address them. The paper delves into the fundamental principles of cloud security, emphasizing the shared responsibility model and the importance of encryption, access controls, identity management, and cloud governance. It highlights the specific security issues encountered during cloud migration. To address these challenges, it advocates for the application of threat modeling—a systematic approach to identify and evaluate potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. The benefits of threat modeling include early risk identification, risk prioritization, a security-by-design approach, alignment with standards and best practices, and ongoing security assurance. Practical guidance on implementing threat modeling for a secure cloud migration is provided particularly based on the Microsoft threat modelling approach by identifying and prioritizing potential security threats, implementing effective controls, and validating their effectiveness. The communities which include Igu, Gyeyidna, Kuchiko, Piawe, Dutse, Jikoko, Shere, Piko, Ushafa and Jigo, were selected as non-contiguous pair from five geographical wards (Igu, kuduru, Dutse, Shere and Ushafa) in the Area Council. They were purposively selected using the criteria of 500 metres and above elevation (upland condition) and agricultural preponderance. The soil samples were collected from farmland in each of the communities using systematic sampling techniques, which involved measuring out a 100 by 100 metres quadrat and dividing it into sixteen equal grid squares with a dimension of 25 by 25 metres. Soil samples were taken at the mid points of each grid square at a depth of 0 – 30cm. The sixteen soil samples for each quadrat were uniformly mixed into one bulk composite sample for each community. The soil results were compared with the standard land quality requirements for upland rice cultivation for Southern Guinea Savanna. To the first study objective, pH, organic carbon, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and cation exchange capacity (CEC) were assessed. Results show that there was no significant difference between the soil quality of the study area and standard soil quality requirements for the cultivation of upland rice. Based on these, it was concluded that the chemical soil properties of the sampled communities in Bwari Area Council will support the cultivation of upland rice, even though there are spatial variation in the soil chemical properties of the study area. Some strategic recommendation were made such as: the need to reduce the soil pH of the study area from its fairly alkaline state to moderately acidic level suitable for upland rice cultivation in Bwari Area Council. However, tackling crippling poverty in a Nation at crossroads like Nigeria requires the need to identify factors that are strongly associated with poverty and agreeable to modification by policy formulation and implementation. The focus of the research work was basically to examine the poverty level and its determinants in Ado-Ekiti. Primary data were collected from the random sample of 101 salary earners using self-structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the socioeconomic characteristics of the respondents. The poverty level was measured using Foster, Greer and Thorbecke (FGT) poverty indices, while probit regression model was employed to examine factors that influence poverty among the salary earners. The result from the descriptive statistics showed that the female salary earners within the age bracket of 34-41 years with polygamous marital status were pro poor. The incidence of poverty show that 46.5% of the sampled salary earners were actually poor based on the poverty line. The poverty depth indicated that an average poor salary earner would require 13.9% of the poverty line to get out of poverty, while the poverty severity was 6.23%. Estimation by gender group revealed that poverty was most pervasive among female salary earners with a value of 3.7% compared to other category. The probit regression further indicated that the likelihood of being poor were more with household size, level of education, place of occupation and income level. The study, therefore, recommended amongst other things that government should embark on a poverty alleviation program, especially for women so that the unemployed among women folk can be financially empowered Keywords: Poverty, Foster, Greer and Thorbecke (FGT) indices, Salary Earners, Probit Journal Reference Format: Oyewole, K.S. & Awoyemi, O.B. The stability of the nation has become the concern of all both the government and the governed. Pro democracy groups, human rights groups, civil societies and others have been greatly involved in the democratic consolidation in Nigeria. In spite of the above not much seems to have been achieved in the area of national security. The issue of national security has become a subject of debate and a serious concern to all and sundry. This is due to the various security challenges facing the country. This paper, therefore looked at unemployment as one of the major challenges to national security. The use of content analysis of secondary sources from published books, journals, official documents, newspapers and magazines was employed in this work. Maslow Human Hierarchy of Needs theory was also used to illuminate the study. It was gathered that, of numerous factors responsible for the uncontrollable rate of insecurity in the nation, unemployment is noted to be at forefront since many youths who are capable and willing to work are affected by this menace. The paper finally recommended that for the problem of insecurity to be abated, the economy of the nation should be diversified as the total dependence on crude oil receipt has done havoc to the productive sectors of Nigerian economy. The government should set up a contingency fund for agricultural and industrial development, as urgent preliminary initiative. Furthermore, the paper recommended the need for collaborative arrangement between the public and private sectors and that the educational sector should be developed through adequate funding to a stage where job seekers and graduates can stand on their own without looking for white collar jobs that are not available. The main challenge in developing a predictive model for crime rate is the unavailability and quality of data. Crime data is often incomplete, inconsistent, and biased, which has always affected the accuracy of the scholars’ designed model. For example, the use of traditional methods such as manual crime analysis and statistical analysis are often limited by the volume and complexity of the data. The need for a more accurate and efficient predictive model that can handle large and complex datasets is increasing. This research developed a predictive model using the KNN algorithm that is into accurate prediction of crime rates and helps policymakers to make better decisions. The KNN algorithm was implemented using Python programming language with scikit-learn libraries. The primary dataset was collected from security units of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and Akungba police station. The Algorithm was implemented on a Laboratory Local Area Network at the Information and Communication Technology Application Centre (ICTAC), Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. The performance evaluation was based on precision, recall, and F1 score. The results show that the KNN algorithm can accurately predict crime rates with an average accuracy of 88%. The model demonstrates that the KNN algorithm can be a useful tool for predicting crime rates. In addition, the model is hoped to enhance crime prevention strategies, reduce crime rates, and ultimately improve the quality of life in university communities. After political independence, the task of nation-building was supposed to be of paramount issue in the minds of the political leaders and followers but what one observed was what can be termed as “power struggle” based on ethnic divide and massive electoral malpractice and/or fraud. The attendant consequences were political riots, impunity, unhealthy rivalry, deepened ethnic animosity, civil war, corruption, hunger, poverty, instability and under-development. The thrust of this paper, therefore is to examine some of these problems in nation- building in Nigeria with the aim of making suggestions which will serve as panacea to the problems earlier identified. It is hoped that if these suggestions are adequately put into practice, Nigeria will leave her present state of political backwardness and move towards the path of honour, growth, development and modernization. The researchers used a descriptive survey research design and a sample of 50 participants, including traditional bee farmers, staff of agricultural education, and intending apiarists which were purposively selected from a public state owned university, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI). Data was collected using a well-structured questionnaire, which was validated by agricultural science and counselling education experts. The instrument's reliability was established through a pilot test, and the data analysis involved descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, and mean scores. The two major focus of the questionnaire was to identify various challenges that hinder subsistence farming of apiculture as wealth creation strategies and to also establish the fear level of those who are interested in bee keeping but are afraid of sting. The challenges identified from the findings of this study included poor credit services, shortage of forage, inadequate training and manpower, poor apiculture policies, diseases affecting honey bees and poor utilization of technology. In addition, the study found that subsistence farmers and intending apiarist exhibited high levels of apiphobia, which negatively impacted their engagement in apiculture. The researchers through group counselling educated participant on strategies for improving apiculture farming, such as effective crop production management, planting of flowering crops like beans, maize, and mango, and selecting suitable apiary locations away from windy areas. To unlearn anxiety and phobia of bee sting, systematic desensitization (a Counselling Therapy) was used to assist both subsistence farmers and intending apiarists.
