Currently, in medical practice, white willow (Salix alba L.) is mainly used. Numerous species of willow that grow and are widely cultivated in the Russian Federation have not yet been widely used in medicine.The aim of the studyis to summarize the literary data about the expansion habitat, the content of biologically active substances and the possibility of harvesting raw materials of willow triandra (Salix triandra L.) and its use in medicine and pharmacy.Materials and methods.The object of the study is willow triandra (S. triandra L.) widespread in the Russian Federation. The study was conducted using search and information and library databases (eLibrary, PubMed, CyberLeninka, ResearchGate).Results and discussion.Willow triandra (Salix triandra L.) is a perennial dioecious plant, belonging to the Salicaceae family (Willow), Amygdalinae section. The natural habitat of willow triandra is predominantly forest and forest-steppe zones of the European and Asian continents. Eastern Europe is the geographical center of the growth of willow triandra, where it occurs throughout the territory. In Russia, willow triandra occupies almost the whole of its European part, in the North extends as far as the Petrozavodsk-Vologda-Kirov line, and the North Caucasus, it can be found on the territory of Western and Central Siberia. This suggests the idea that plant resources of willow triandra are significant. The possibility of cultivation of willow triandra in various edaphic-phytocenotic conditions is noted, since it is most easily subjected to vegetative propagation. It has been pointed out that willow triandra, like other willow species, contains a rich complex of polyphenolic compounds, which causes its anti-inflammatory effect. It has been revealed that in efficiency, the branches are not inferior to the bark of the species under study, which makes it possible to use branches of various willow speciesas a medicinal plant material.Conclusion.The prospect of research of branches of various willow species, including willow triandra, as a medicinal plant raw material showing anti-inflammatory properties, is confirmed.","PeriodicalId":40926,"journal":{"name":"Pharmacy & Pharmacology-Farmatsiya i Farmakologiya","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2018-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67826936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An essential role in solving this problem can be played by herbal medicinal products. A special interest is represented by Astragalus vulpinus Willd - a plant of a large Astragalus genus of the legume family (Fabaceae), growing in the Astrakhan Region. The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of the Astragalus vulpinus Willd extract on the psychoemotional state of animals against the background of informational overload (IО). Materials and methods. The experiment was performed on nonlinear male rats. All the manipulations with the animals were carried out according to the rules and principles of work with laboratory animals. The animals were divided into groups: Group 1 - control rats; Group 2 – the animals exposed to IО for 20 days; Group 3 – the animals treated with intragastric liquid extract of Astragalus vulpinus Willd in the dose of 50 mg / kg /a day for 14 days and exposed to IО; Group 4 – the animals treated with the comparative drug of Phenibut in the dose of 25 mg / kg for 14 days against the background of informational overload. The IO model was a multi-alternative labyrinth in which food-producing skills were formed. The psychoemotional state of rats was studied in the “Suok-test” (ST), which is a complex of several classical behavioral models. Results and discussion. The study of laboratory animals’ behavior in the “Suok-test” against the background of informational overload showed the formation of the state of increased anxiety, which was manifested by a decrease in the motor and research activity of white rats. It was established that the Astragalus vulpinus Willd extract has an anxiolytic and antidepressant effect, eliminating manifestations of an anxiety-depressive state developing against the background of informational overload. Conclusion. Estimating the influence of the Astragalus vulpinus Willd extract in comparison with the activity of Phenibutum, it can be concluded that the investigated drugs eliminate the changes in the psychoemotional state of the anxiety-depressive character, demonstrating a practically comparable anxiolytic and antidepressant effect.","PeriodicalId":40926,"journal":{"name":"Pharmacy & Pharmacology-Farmatsiya i Farmakologiya","volume":"6 1","pages":"255-268"},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2018-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67825930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of new drugs, giving a possibility to normalize blood pressure, is a promising direction in the field of pharmacy and medicine. Now inhibitors of angiotensinconverting enzyme (ACE) are widely adopted for the treatment of hypertension and chronic heart failure. The principle of action of ACE inhibitors is based on blocking the conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II, which mediates vasodilation. The aim of the work is a selection of methods of lisinopril interaction with the active center of angiotensin-converting enzyme by molecular dynamics methods. Materials and methods . Lisinopril molecule was used as a ligand; the charges of that ligand were calculated with the density functional theory (DFT) and ub3lyp method with the basis sets 6-31G* and 6-311G**. Simulation of 75 ns of molecular dynamics of lisinopril interaction with the active center of ACE was carried out in the Bioevrica program. As a result of molecular dynamics simulation, the trajectory of the “lisinopril-ACE” system was obtained. After that a comparison of ligand conformations at different points in simulation time with the experimental conformation of the value of standard deviation of coordinates of atoms was made. Results and discussion. The results of simulation have showed that lisinopril with the charges corresponding to basis set 6-311G** behaves consistent with the x-ray data in the active center of the ACE, in contrast to lisinopril with the charges calculated by basis set 6-31G*. Conclusion. The methods of lisinopril interaction modeling with the active center of angiotensin-converting enzyme has been selected. The obtained technique can be used for studying the interaction of substances, similar in structure to lisinopril with the active center of the enzyme (ACE).","PeriodicalId":40926,"journal":{"name":"Pharmacy & Pharmacology-Farmatsiya i Farmakologiya","volume":"5 1","pages":"487-503"},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2017-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67826266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the comparative study for subchronic toxicity of both drugs from this group (Vaseline oil and Glycelax) appears interesting. The aim of the study was the comparison of a toxic influence of 14-days application of the drugs under study. Methods. The drugs were studied in two doses: higher therapeutic, and toxic, which 10 times exceeds therapeutic dose. We used “Polispektr-8/B” electrocardiograph, BC 2800vet (Mindray) hematologic veterinary analyzer, BS-380 (Mindray) biochemical analyzer, CL-50 urine analyzer. After the animals autopsy we determined organs’ coefficient (heart, lungs, spleen, liver, stomach, kidneys, adrenals). Results. While studying the ECG of female rats, amplitude of R wave increased after they got Glycelax in both doses. Female rats who got Vaseline oil this index decreased at minimum dose and increased at maximum dose. After Glycelax application, male rats had an increased activity of alanine aminotransferase. After Vaseline oil application at maximum dose, female rats had alkaline phosphatase activity lowered. Female rats, which got a maximum dose of Vaseline oil had a total protein lowered. Glycelax at maximum dose increased the content of bilirubin and its fractions in male and female rats, while Vaseline oil application at maximum dose increased the content of bilirubin in female rats. Male rats which got Glycelax had hemoglobin and hematocrit level increased. Conclusion. At long-term application of Vaseline oil, animals of both genders had heart disorders with possible development of arrhythmia, hepatotoxic effect, lipid exchange dysfunction. After excessive use of Glycelax the above mentioned is added with possible hemoglobin and rheological blood properties level decrease.","PeriodicalId":40926,"journal":{"name":"Pharmacy & Pharmacology-Farmatsiya i Farmakologiya","volume":"4 1","pages":"81-89"},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2016-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67826144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
