Regarding Italy, international comparisons highlight the accentuation of specific critical issues in this area. Concerning the search for teaching actions aimed at improving the understanding of physical phenomena, it remains fundamental to understand the preconceptions from which students start and the cognitive obstacles that these entail. We have prepared and validated a questionnaire with the aim of highlighting the most common critical elements in the explanation of physical phenomena by students aged 11-14. The collected data confirm the presence of widespread misconceptions already reported in the literature, which it is appropriate to bring to the attention of teachers. The questionnaire is complemented by formative feedback intended to provide initial indications for their revision.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":"91 26","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141664001","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the systematic review is to find out the media and context used in the TPACK framework for the development of science learning. Media is related to learning technology such as technology in communication, collaboration, assessment, visualization, and online learning. The use of science learning media in developing TPACK consists of two types, the first using a single type of media and the second using multiple types of learning technology media. The learning context includes micro in the form of classes, meso in the form of schools, and macro in the form of the wider community, as well as the context of teachers and pre-service teachers. The context of science education in TPACK relates to the type of research such as micro-level using mixed research methods, experimental, qualitative, research and development, and macro level usually using survey research. The TPACK framework is an approach to explaining effectiveness, evaluation, and reflection in the use of learning technology.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":"27 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141663545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New evidence suggests that teachers’ ethnic prejudice and attitudes might help to explain teachers’ burnout related to ethnic diversity. On the other hand, factors such as self-efficacy and mindfulness are known to play a protective role for burnout, but to date it is not known how they are related to implicit attitudes and prejudice as well. In this study, we aim to provide a deeper understanding of the mechanism underlying the development of burnout in teachers and pre-service teachers, investigating the role of ethnic prejudice, implicit ethnic attitudes, perceived self-efficacy and mindfulness. Our results show that self-efficacy and mindfulness are negatively correlated with teacher burnout and that mindfulness moderates the relationship between implicit ethnic attitudes and burnout. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":"101 39","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141666474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through ER it is possible to train multiple cognitive skills and not only programming skills. To this end, it is decisive to outline a new competence profile for teachers that can influence this aspect by activating ER training courses. The paper presents the «Robotics Interest Questionnaire» (RIQ), a validated questionnaire in Italian able to measure with some precision the factors involved in teaching robotics, and discusses the data collected on teachers of all levels (823 teachers). The results provide normative values useful, for example, to allow the diagnostic use of the RIQ in the startup phase of teacher training, in order to hypothesize the level possessed by the participants and orientate the didactic design and the content-methodological choices of the intervention, as well as the final evaluation of the training outcomes thanks to its ability to highlight, when used before and after, improvements in the dimensions investigated: knowledge and interest, sense of self-efficacy, problem solving and collaboration.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":"105 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141666131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results highlight favorable attitudes towards inclusion but reveal the persistence of beliefs that justify the separation of students with special needs. Teachers report a good level of self-efficacy in inclusion but perceive themselves to be less competent in managing classroom dynamics. Many teachers, while perceiving themselves as skilled in managing relationships with colleagues and planning, perceive gaps in the knowledge and skills needed to implement effective inclusive education. Especially self-efficacy in implementing inclusive education appears to be related to knowledge, skills, and inclusive behaviors. This research suggests the need to strengthen the training of support teachers and promote inclusive behaviors to ensure effective inclusion.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":"123 39","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141665392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the possible avenues of investigation is the adoption of a gender perspective. In fact, bullying is often studied with a universalistic approach, despite the fact that research shows the presence of peculiarities that can be associated, albeit not exclusively, with different genders. The national project «Female bullying at school. An intersectional mixedmethod investigation» aims to better understand bullying among girls by adopting a gender and intersectional perspective. This contribution presents the quantitative part of the research. The outcomes regarding the incidence and characteristics of bullying will be discussed and the gender differences that emerged will be explored. The results confirm the relevance of the phenomenon and highlight the peculiar gaze of girls, providing support for the usefulness of adopting a gender perspective in the study of bullying.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":" 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139142499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the role of social intelligence and resilience in explaining college students’ distress tolerance. A descriptive correlational study was carried out on 260 male college students of Farhangian University of Birjand, Iran in 2020/21. They completed Social Intelligence Scale, Resilience Scale, and Distress Tolerance Questionnaire. The results showed that there was a direct and significant relationship between social intelligence and distress tolerance (r = 0.473; p <0.001), as well as resilience and distress tolerance (r = 0.608; p = 0.008). Also, the coefficient of determination showed that the components of social intelligence and resilience up to 65% can explain the variance of students’ distress tolerance. Psychological interventions such as promoting social intelligence and effective resilience can be used to prevent and control the college students’ distress especially during Covid-19 pandemic.","PeriodicalId":407986,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies (ECPS Journal)","volume":"79 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139145889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
